Day 1: London - Nairobi
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Nairobi with Virgin Atlantic.
Day 2: Samburu
On arrival, you will be transfered to Wilson airport for another (much shorter!) flight to the Samburu National Reserve and lunch at your lodge. Samburu Intrepids looks out over riverbanks where elephant, buffalo and zebra come daily to drink. Also keep your eyes peeled for giraffe, beisa oryx and the long-necked gerenuk antelope. A late afternoon game drive is followed by dinner round the camp fire. Overnight: Samburu Intrepids. (L/D)
Day 3: Samburu
More opportunities to spot the locals with early morning and afternoon game drives on the agenda! Later, admire the sunset as you sip your sundowner cocktail. Dinner again under the stars. Overnight: Samburu Intrepids. (B/L/D)
Day 4: Great Rift Valley
A final early morning game drive at Samburu before your scheduled flight to Lake Naivasha. Perched on the Eburu escarpment and overlooking the sweeping floor of the world's largest valley is your accommodation for the next 2 nights. Get acquainted with your surrounds on an afternoon boat trip and then enjoy some fine dining on the panoramic clubhouse terrace. Overnight: Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort. (B/L/D)
Day 5: Great Rift Valley
There's a morning trip to Eburu Forest today. Afterwards, take advantage of the many leisure activities on offer at the lodge, including boating and fishing, tennis and an 18-hole golf course - all of which can be booked directly at the resort. Day 6: Masai Mara
The morning is yours to spend at leisure before transferring by plane to the Masai Mara after lunch. Sitting above a sweeping bend in the Talek River at the confluence of 4 game-viewing areas - one of the most spectacular locations in the entire Mara ecosystem is your accommodation for the next 2 nights. Day 7: Masai Mara
After breakfast, head for your morning game drive for more encounters with the Mara inhabitants. After lunch, you'll have yet another game drive during the late afternoon for more interaction with the 'Big Five' and co! As you will probably have realised, no 2 days are the same in the African bush! Overnight: Mara Intrepids. (B/L/D)
Day 8: Nairobi
Sadly your fabulous flying safari has come to an end - depart for Nairobi by light aircraft, followed by a transfer to the Sarova Stanley for an overnight stay. (B)
Day 9: Nairobi - London
Transfer to the airport for your flight home to London Heathrow with Virgin Atlantic.
Lamu Extension
A place of fresh air and perfect peace, Kipungani, Lamu, located on the ancient Arab island of Lamu, is one of Africa's most remote and relaxing coastal hideaways. Spend a few nights here at Kipungani on full-board basis.
Mombasa Extension
Why not fly down to Mombasa's north coast and spend a few nights at the Voyager Beach Resort on an all-inclusive basis.
