The Safari
The whole family will love this trip to one of the world's greatest and most famous wildlife reserves: the Masai Mara! This chance to see animals in their natural habitat is unmissable and will produce many treasured memories for everyone to share for years to come.
Day 1: London - Nairobi
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Nairobi with Virgin Atlantic.
Day 2: Masai Mara
On arrival in Nairobi, you will be driven direct to the Masai Mara. A delicious lunch is followed by the first of your game drives, so binoculars and cameras at the ready as you prepare to spot the 'Big Five'! Dinner at your luxury camp at the foot of the Ngama Hills. Overnight: Siana Springs Camp. (L/D)
Day 3: Masai Mara
There's more opportunity to get up close and personal to the wild inhabitants of the Masai Mara with both morning and afternoon game drives. The black rhino favours the bushland habitats of the Ngama Hills, so fingers crossed you'll see them! In between game drives, the whole family can get involved in guided walks within the camp or to nearby hills and plains. Alternatively, the kids can enjoy some of the many activities available at the Adventurer's Club, including bush treasure hunts and making plaster casts of paw prints from big cats. Day 4: Masai Mara
Make the most of your final day in the Masai Mara with the last of your morning and afternoon game drives. In the evening, gather round the campfire with new-found friends to swap tales of what you've seen and done over the last few days. Overnight: Siana Springs Camp. (B/L/D)
Day 5: Nairobi
After breakfast, return to Nairobi, arriving early afternoon at The Sarova Stanley for an overnight stay. (RO)
Day 6: Nairobi - London
Morning transfer to Jomo Kenyatta international airport (JKIA) for your return flight with Virgin Atlantic to London Heathrow.
Mombasa Extension
After breakfast on day 5, return to Nairobi and catch an afternoon flight to Mombasa. Spend the next 7 nights at the Voyager Beach Resort on an all-inclusive basis. There are plenty of family amenities, including restaurants and bars, swimming pools plus water sports galore. Mombasa is only 7km away and home to so much more than beautiful beaches. The Old Town is fascinating, Fort Jesus is unmissable and for more encounters with nature, the Haller Park (formerly the Bamburi Nature Trail) is perfect! Or why not visit Ngomongo villages for an insight into the African culture? On day 12, you will have your afternoon flight to Nairobi where you will be met on arrival and transferred to The Sarova Stanley for your overnight stay (RO). On day 13, fly back to London Heathrow with Virgin Atlantic.
