Day 1: London – Nairobi
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Nairobi with Virgin Atlantic.
Day 2: Nairobi
You will be met on arrival and transferred to the Jacaranda Nairobi for an overnight stay. Time to relax and unwind before your safari starts.
Days 3-4: Amboseli National Park
Leave Nairobi for the 4 hour 15 min drive to Amboseli National Park where you’ll stay for 2 nights. With the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, this is one of the best parks in Africa to observe family groups of elephants at close quarters. Overnight: Amboseli Sopa Lodge. (B/L/D)
Days 5-6: Lakes Nakuru and Naivasha
After breakfast, head north through the Kenyan countryside towards the Rift Valley (4 hour 30 min), stopping en route at the famous Carnivore Restaurant for lunch. After lunch, continue to Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge (1 hour 30 min) for your 2-night stay. During your stay you’ll visit Lake Nakuru National Park, an area famous for its vast flocks of flamingo, as well as black and white rhino. You’ll also take a 1-hour boat trip on Lake Naivasha (subject to water levels). Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. (B/L/D)
Days 7-8: Masai Mara
After breakfast, head for the Masai Mara National Reserve (4-hour drive). Spend 2 days enjoying more wildlife adventures with morning and afternoon game drives. Why not take the opportunity to pre-book a once-in-a-lifetime balloon trip over this magnificent reserve - prices start from just £299. Overnight: Mara Sopa Lodge. (B/L/D)
Day 9: Nairobi
Return to Nairobi arriving around lunch time for your return flight to the UK or on to your beach resort. (B) (Subject to flight schedules you may need to spend a night in Nairobi)
