Tour Information
Day 1: London – Kilimanjaro
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Nairobi and onward to Kilimanjaro airport with Kenya Airways.
Day 2: Arusha
On arrival, transfer to Mount Meru Game Lodge, bordered by the Usa River and an animal sanctuary, with Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. The lodge offers a free guided excursion of the local area giving you a glimpse of authentic Tanzania. Overnight: Mount Meru Game Lodge. (D)
Day 3: Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, drive 2 hours to beautiful Lake Manyara where you can spot impala, buffalo, wildebeest, hippo, giraffe and the famous tree-climbing lion. After a picnic lunch, there’s an afternoon game drive, then continue on to Ngorongoro (1hr) where you stay for 2 nights. Overnight: Ngorongoro Farm House. (B/L/D)
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
Explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater, Africa's 'Garden of Eden' and home to the 'Big Five', including the black-maned lion. You take a short drive up to the crater rim and then down on to the crater floor for an extended game drive with picnic lunch. After lunch, you return to your accommodation with the remainder of the afternoon to relax, or to explore the grounds. An optional guided walk can be booked locally. Overnight: Ngorongoro Farm House. Day 5: Tarangire
Leave Ngorongoro and continue to Tarangire. Lunch is at the romantic Tarangire River Camp. Then take an afternoon game drive in the National Park, home to thousands of elephants. Overnight: Tarangire River Camp. (B/L/D)
Day 6: Kilimanjaro-London
After an early breakfast, return to Arusha for your flight to Zanzibar or to Kilimanjaro for your flight back to Nairobi. (B)
