Tour Itinerary
Day 1: London – Nairobi
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Nairobi with Kenya Airways.
Day 2: Nairobi
On arrival in Nairobi, you will be transferred to The Sarova Stanley Hotel for an overnight stay.
Days 3-4: Samburu National Park
After an early breakfast, drive north to Samburu National Park (approx 6 hours) arriving in time for lunch. Your lodge for the next 2 nights is set in the heart of Kenya’s Born Free country and was home to Joy and George Adamson. Meet the colourful Samburu tribe. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives to spot yet more animals who enjoy this less crowded park. The riverside location attracts elephant, impala, baboon and vervet monkey so keep your eyes peeled and cameras poised. Overnight: Samburu Simba Lodge. (B/L/D)
Day 5: Lake Nakuru
Leave Samburu today for Lake Nakuru in the Rift Valley (approx 7 hours). Set on a plateau, your lodge is the perfect location from which to view pink flamingo and black and white colobus monkey. It is also a famed Rhino Sanctuary. Overnight: Lion Hill Lodge. (B/L/D)
Days 6-7: Masai Mara
Leave Nakuru and head southward to the Masai Mara (approx 7 hours) – the most famous wildlife reserve in the world. On arrival you will be taken to your Game Camp where you will spend the next 2 days enjoying morning and afternoon game drives. You can also pre-book a balloon safari on day 7 -prices start from just £279. Overnight: Mara Sarova Lodge. (B/L/D)
Day 8: Nairobi
After breakfast, it’s time to leave the Masai Mara for your drive back to Nairobi (approx 6 hours) arriving around lunch time.(B)
Please note – subject to flight schedules you may need to spend a night in Nairobi before flying out the following morning.
