Tour Information
Day 1: London Heathrow – Nairobi
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Nairobi with Virgin Atlantic.
Day 2: Aberdares National Park
On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Nairobi Serena for the morning where you have a day room to freshen up. The safari leaves for the Mount Kenya region arriving at your lodge in time for lunch (2 hour drive). The rest of the afternoon and evening is spent observing game emerging from the forest and gathering at the illuminated salt lick and waterhole. Overnight: Serena Mountain Lodge. (L/D)
Day 3-4: Sweetwaters
After breakfast continue to Sweetwaters Sanctuary (1 hour 30 min). The sanctuary is in a class of its own - a sheltered oasis, clustered around a waterhole set in the pristine calm of its own private game reserve. Enjoy your game drives, including a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary and a chance to book an exciting opional night game drive in the sanctuary. Overnight: Sweetwaters Tented Camp. (B/L/D)
Day 5-7: Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast take the short flight from Nanyuki airstrip to the Masai Mara where you will spend the next 3 nights. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with ample time to search for the 'Big Five', amongst other wildlife. Why not pre-book a balloon safari - prices start from just £299. Day 8: Nairobi
Return to Nairobi arriving around lunch time for your return flight to the UK or on to your chosen beach resort. (B) (Subject to flight schedules you may need to spend a night in Nairobi)
