Tour Itinerary
A trip to southern Queensland would not be complete without an overnight stay on Fraser Island, a place of exceptional beauty, with its long uninterrupted white beaches flanked by strikingly coloured sand cliffs, and over 100 freshwater lakes, some tea-coloured and others clear and blue all ringed by white sandy beaches. Ancient rainforests grow in sand along the banks of fast-flowing, crystal-clear creeks.
Our overnight package can be easily added to your itinerary and includes a sightseeing tour of the main island’s highlights, transfers to and from Hervey Bay and 1 night’s accommodation at the Kingfisher Bay Resort.
Day 1
Your ferry departs from Hervey Bay at 15.30, if you have a hire car, this can be left at River Heads Mainland Reception, alternatively transfers from the airport at Hervey Bay can be arranged. The crossing takes between 25 – 45 minutes.
On arrival on Fraser Island, check into the award winning Kingfisher Bay Resort and spend the rest of your day at leisure, relax by one of the 4 swimming pools and enjoy dinner at the award winning Seabelle restaurant where the mysteries of bush tucker are uncovered!

Accommodation Details
152 rooms on 2 floors in 2 wings. All rooms have private deck with bush or lake views, air-conditioning, TV, tea/coffee maker, fridge and hairdryer. Rooms sleep max 3 adults, or 2 adults and 1 child.
Day 2
After a hearty breakfast, be ready for an 8am start to depart on your included Beauty Spot Tour. Today you will learn about the natural and cultural history of Fraser Island. Highlights of the tour include swimming in the crystal-clear, blue waters of Lake McKenzie, the island's most beautiful perched lake, walk along the banks of Wanggoolba Creek as it flows silently through the rainforest and marvel at the tall, majestic satinay trees of Pile Valley. You will then drive along spectacular Seventy-Five Mile Beach, stop to swim in the cool, fresh Eli Creek. If that wasn’t enough you will then visit the Maheno shipwreck and marvel at the coloured sands of the Pinnacles. Finally you will get a chance to see an ancient forest being uncovered as Stonetool Sand Blow moves across the island.

After breakfast you will transferred from the hotel for your return ferry back to Hervey Bay.
