5 days/4 nights - Port Douglas and the Daintree rainforest by coach or self-drive.
Description
Day 1: Cairns - Port Douglas (60km - approx 1 hour)
Pick up your Thrifty rental car from Cairns city or airport depot and drive to Port Douglas along the coastal road for the next 2 nights at Mantra Heritage Port Douglas. (RO)
Day 2: Quicksilver Outer Barrier Reef Cruise
A Quicksilver courtesy coach will transfer you to the departure point of your tour. Board your vessel to the Agincourt Reef platform, Great Barrier Reef. The tour includes morning and afternoon tea, buffet lunch, snorkel gear, semi-submersible tours and the underwater observatory. (L)
Day 3: Port Douglas - Cape Tribulation (70km - approx 1 hour 30 min)
Today, drive from Port Douglas to the World Heritage listed Cape Tribulation. Your journey will take you across the unique barge crossing over the Daintree River. The next 2 nights will be spent at Coconut Beach Resort. (RO)
Day 4: Daintree Rainforest
Enjoy a full-day Daintree & Noah Valley expedition tour. Highlights include the Marrdja Boardwalk, mangrove discovery cruise, aerial walkway at the Daintree Environment Centre and the Daintree Ice Cream Company. (L)
Day 5: Cape Tribulation - Cairns (130km - approx 2 hours 30 min)
Drive back to Cairns today and return your Thrifty rental car to the Cairns city or airport depot.
