Tour Itinerary
Days 1-2: London – Port Elizabeth
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Johannesburg with Virgin Atlantic and take a connecting flight to Port Elizabeth where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the night. Overnight: Protea Hotel Marine.
Day 3: Port Elizabeth - Knysna
Around midday set off for the romantic seaside resort of Knysna, travelling through the Tsitsikamma Forest and along the Garden Route with scenic stops along the way. 2 nights spent at: Knysna Hollow Country Estate. (B/D)
Day 4: Knysna Lagoon
Cruise the vast Knysna Lagoon passing the imposing 'Heads' carved from sandstone guarding the entrance and later visit the Featherbed Nature Reserve. After lunch enjoy an afternoon at leisure. (B/L)
Day 5: Cango Caves & Oudtshoorn
Continue to Oudtshoorn, the centre of South Africa's ostrich industry. Learn about these creatures before heading to the Cango Caves. Overnight: The Queens Hotel. (B/L)
Day 6: Cape Town
Today take in the beautiful and diverse landscapes of the Garden Route on the journey to Cape Town. 3 nights spent at: Protea Hotel President. (B)
Day 7: Cape Peninsula
Depart on a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula, marvelling at the stunning scenery en route. Visit Hout Bay, Cape Point Nature Reserve and Boulders Beach to see the penguins. (B)
Day 8: Cape Winelands
Today explore the beauty of the Cape Winelands visiting both Paarl and Stellenbosch before stopping for wine tasting at two of the estates. (B)
Day 9: Cape Town - London
Enjoy a final day at leisure in this beautiful city before flying back to London Heathrow with Virgin Atlantic Airways or South Africa Airways.
