Description
Day 1: Launceston
On arrival into Launceston airport (flights to arrive prior to 1.00pm, not included in tour price), transfer to the Mercure Hotel, Launceston for your overnight stay. After check in, depart on a tour to the Tamar Valley and the Bay of Fires Winery for wine tasting and a tutorial. You will also see the Swiss village of Grindelwald. (D)
Day 2: Freycinet National Park
Travel to Sidling Lookout, Legerwood's World War I memorial tree carvings, the old mining town of Derby and then through the lush Myrtle Rainforest at Weldborough Pass. Visit St Helens, then continue to Freycinet National Park and take a guided walk to Cape Tourville Lookout. Overnight at Beachfront at Bicheno. (B/D)
Day 3: Port Arthur
Travel to Copping via Swansea, Orford and Sorrell, then on to Port Arthur along an impressive cliff-lined coast. Cross the 100-year-old Denison Canal and the historic checkpoint of Eaglehawk Neck to infamous Port Arthur. Take a cruise around the Isle of the Dead, then a guided walk of the historic site and prison. Head back over the Tasman Peninsula to Hobart, passing by the amazing vistas of Tasman's Arch, the Devil's Kitchen and the Blow Hole. Overnight at Wrest Point, Hobart. (B/D)
Day 4: Depart Hobart
After breakfast, transfer to Hobart airport for your onward flight. (B)
