Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Phuket or Krabi - Elephant Hills
Transfer to Phang Nga Province. Explore the mangrove forest's maze of rivers by speed cat (a dinghy with an outboard motor) or canoes. Enjoy a traditional Thai lunch on a Burmese junk, then spend the afternoon on a deserted beach, swimming, relaxing or canoeing. After a cruise on the junk, transfer to Khao Sok where you enjoy dinner and your first of 3 nights at Elephant Hills Resort. (L/D)
Day 2: Elephant Hills
Travel to Elephant Camp, Elephant Hills' conservation project. Here you can see, touch and learn about Thai elephants and the life of the mahouts (who take care of the elephants).
Option 1 – Elephant Experience
During the elephant experience you will have the opportunity to get close to these magnificent animals. You will interact with them, prepare and feed them one of their daily meals, scrub and clean them and watch them bathe. Feed them their dietary supplements that help with their digestion and overall well being and plant some of their food which will be ready for future feeds.
Day 3: Elephant Hills
After breakfast, you'll explore a jungle lake by local boat. The lake is surrounded by limestone mountains and cliffs covered in tropical rainforest. We will see some of the spectacular scenery from the boat and will have time for a swim depending on the weather. A packed lunch will be provided. In the late afternoon, return to Elephant Hills for dinner and overnight.(B/L/D)
Day 4: Elephant Hills - Krabi or Phuket
Take a leisurely walk in the rainforest, to see a great variety of exotic plants, birds and macaque or leaf monkeys swinging through the branches. Weather permitting, lunch will be served in the rainforest - cooked in bamboo, a tradition of jungle explorers for centuries past. In the afternoon you will then transfer by road for your drop-off at either Krabi or Phuket airport or your chosen hotel. (B/L)
