I loved staying at the All Season's resort in Barbados! The cute little bungalos are perfect, private, cleans and just the perfect place to stay in Barbados. It is about a 5 minute walk to the beach... Read more . The reason I am giving this a Very Good instead of Excellent is because of the service at the restaurant. It was very slow. On average we would wait 30 minutes or so before anyone would come by to take an order. They were often out of staples including fruit, sauce for fish etc. We were on our honeymoon and decided not to utilize the kitchen. You really won't regret staying there. Read less
My husband and I have stayed here quite a few times over the last 20 years, first with our 3 boy's and now on our own. We have family on the Island so only need a base, which is ideal for us... We had a few minor problems in our villa, but they were sorted out straight away. It is in a great location on the West coast with all the amenities close by, supermarket, restaurants and bars. The pool is always welcoming on a hot day and you have access to the Beach House facilities which is on the beach where you can have lunch and a drink. ( The fish cakes we discovered are great!) You also have a few shops in the area for gifts to take home. We always have a great time and can"t wait for our next visit. Well done All Seasons Europa!! Read less
Stayed here for a week, left last Monday, and had a really good holiday staying in a garden room with monkeys passing by then sitting on our verandah once they knew we had a supply of bananas... Read more - magical experience! The spacious apartment was really good with air conditioning in the bedroom plus large ceiling fans in both bedroom and lounge. The only negative thing I can say about the apartment is that you are surrounded by barking dogs. One day, when we were walking back to our bungalow, a neighbour was actually trying to teach her young dog to bark because we were walking by. The continual barking meant we did not enjoy spending time sitting on the verandah. However, back to the positive things - on several evenings we watched displays of fireflies in the colourful hedge opposite our bungalow, the birds are fearless and very cheeky and the lizards a constant source of enjoyment. We visited all the beaches previously mentioned on this website and the clean sand and warm water is a delight. Probably, the best is Paynes Bay,next to Sandy Lane, with the little cafe/bar in an alleyway. My favourite restaurant was probably Spego, both for service and quality of food, though Beach House was also good. We only used the pool on our last day but it was very clean and the gardens surrounding it were a delight. We enjoyed the happy hour in the bar at Europa from 5.30 - 7pm. This was our second visit to Barbardos and we were unpleasantly surprised by the hike in the cost of food in the supermarket bearing in mind we were only buying for breakfast. (I almost missed not having a Tesco). Probably restaurant prices had increased also but we can't remember what they were a year ago. If you want to pay by credit card in the local supermarket in the mall, next to Rubis garage, you need to show a photograph of yourself, otherwise it's cash. The patio doors have a padlock on them which my husband continually struggled to lock and unlock, maybe a touch of oil would help? Yes, I would definitely recommend Europa, even though the word 'rustic', in it's friendliest term, comes to mind. We do like to book a holiday through a travel agent, rather than go independantly, and in this instance used Virgin. Read less
