Just returned from another fantastic fortnight away. Hotel is undergoing partial refurbishment with some of the rooms already altered. Sea rocks has been rebuilt but still not in use. Our meals... Read more were served in the main building, which I viewed with dismay as last year it was so hot and sticky. However they have installed ceiling fans, so there was a good gentle flow of fresh air and it made for a very comfortable dining experience. The staff were polite and helpful and the food of a good standard. I know some guests have an issue with the quality of the food, but I never go hungry, , there is always something to eat. The rooms are clean and fresh, the pool area and surround well kept, clean and tidy. If i had one negative comment it would be the lack of entertainment. Maybe this could be looked at and updated. I did meet Adam for the first time and suggested that he attended the Managers Cocktail party as I am sure that other guests would like to meet him and discuss any issues they may have. All in all though a good holiday and we will be back next year Read less

The receptionist was refusing to make eye contact. My husband spoke to the manager about checking the reception and lobby cameras the next day and he was told that the cameras were not working.if this it true this means that its a very unsafe environment. What hurt was my phone contained precious photos of my 2 kids from the time they were babies and there is no way to recover this. What they said to us was that they were sorry but people have lost things there before. Read less

The Barbados Beach Club (BBC) is on beautiful Dover Beach in Maxwell. The hotel has done some modernizing of its rooms and they are clean and comfortable. The food is fresh, tasty and the Sunday roast... Read more is to die for. There is an open area dining room with views to the Sea and an adjacent swimming pool and bar. If there were to be a concern it would be the quality of the drinks. Drinking from plastic "sippy" cups is not my favourite way to enjoy a cocktail. The staff inform me that glass is not allowed in the pool area and that makes a lot of sense but drinking out of a 4 oz. cup makes little sense either.the. I think a modest investment in proper plastic drink glasses would be a good thing for the guests. As I said it is good value for the money just do not expect a place like the resort that is located just north of the BBC Read less
