It was very well attended and is an example of the unique and special attention that this hotel pays to their guests. This hotel is a great place to stay in Barbados in terms of price and immediate surroundings. Bougainvillea has a lovely pool and garden area which made a day of lazing a treat. The only downisde... Read more is perhaps the location as it is more than necessary to use a taxi anytime you wish to eat anywhere outwith the hotel. However this is all known before booking so no major issue! Our room had a lovely view of the pool and beach and more than enough space for a weeks holiday. The staff were pleasant and always happy to help! I would definitely recommend hiring a car and exploring the island for a day and getting out on the catamarans. We had the best time ever!!! Read less

In saying all that, it was immaculately clean, & all the staff, without exception, were pleasant & polite (especially Anne-Marie, in the Lantern's Restaurant) All in all, would definitely recommend!! We just spent a week at the Bougainvillea during our first (but hopefully not last) trip to Barbados and found the hotel to be perfect for our needs. The hotel is in a great location on Maxwell... Read more Beach which is one of the nicest beaches of the many we experienced around the island, with easy access either walking or by taxi to Oistins and the Gap for some fun nights out. The suite was perfect for us enabling us to do a bit of self-catering if we fancied a break from eating out and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Tennis courts and games room were also a bonus. The breakfasts included in our deal were decent but would recommend eating out elsewhere as there are a myriad of fantastic eating options available around the island. Read less

Read more Bougainvillea. Like I said earlier, this is our 4th visit and we can honestly say we have no complaints what so ever about this resort. To mark our 40th I arranged a meal on the beach, this was a great meal and carried out by the staff with enthusiasm and expertise. One we shall certainly remember and a must for anyone with a similar celebration. The hotel bedrooms are spotlessly clean and so are the public areas. The staff are trained to a very high standard and it certainly shows. Although we used the restaurant several times we also visited the Gap and Oistins for meals. These are located close by and easy accessible by taxi. Shall we be going again, we most certainly will. Read less
