This is a very nice hotel, great location with resturant along the strip, beachfront with great views and the staff, very helpful from front desk to pool bar, housekeeping, breakfast time, ahh ice... Stayed in this hotel 5 days mid september as part of honeymoon irish couple. Cannot praise this hotel and its staff enough. Comp drinks and cold towels on arrival shown up to our ocean view room... Read more which could be classed as an large apartment. This hotel is kept immaculately clean. 2 pools one is a swim up pool bar, the beach is footsteps from the pool, friendly staff will ensure you are kept cool and hydrated with water ice lollies and cooling mist. Michael was also on hand with water sports and took me on a trip for a reasonable price to swim with turtles. Located on the gap you have a choice of heading out or enjoying the hotels fine food especially the saturday night beach bbq which is not to be missed also we ended our stay with weds night managers cocktail party where Jeffry supplied tasty rum punch great way to mingle with fellow guests and extremely friendly staff. Make sure and get a trip to harbour lights dinner show it is well worth it. We personally want to thank Melinda Shaquel and Zina for being so friendly and helpful these girls went above and beyond for us & to all the staff who made us feel so welcome thank you for making our stay and honeymoon so special. We definitely want to return and will be recommending the hotel to everybody. Read less
When we arrived the staff were very welcoming giving us a cool flannel and cold drink which was very nice. We was also given a letter telling us that unfortunately one of the pools was going to be... Read more closed for the whole week for regrouting which was a little disappointing then had a note to say one of the evenings they put on was cancelled. We stayed on the 2nd floor in a one bed apartment which was very spacious and clean and smart looking on a bed a breakfast basis which we were very happy about as the weather was not fantastic the whole time so spent a bit of time in the room and did not feel on top of each other. Another nice touch in the rooms were the toiletries full size if you needed them. There are also tvs in both the lounge and bedroom which is nice. Unfortunately every morning we was woken up around 6am with the noise of the staff working on the ground floor and 2nd so was unable to have a lay in at all through the whole week which was disappointing as It would have been nice to sleep in, so if you are a light sleeper ask to have a room higher up I wish I had. The room was cleaned every day to a good standard but when you want clean towels make sure you put the dirty ones on the floor otherwise they just fold them up again. The hotel food was very good we ate in the resturant a few times and were very happy with the food and service from the staff the only gripe is we felt a bit silly one night as it was raining and they had only set up 2 tables in the breakfast area ( inside ) It would have felt more inviting if the whole room had been set up as the room looked very bare as we sat in there alone ( we felt it would be rude to walk back out ) with just a tilled floor and walls to look at but on the plus side the food was always very nice and when we ate outside it had a very nice ambiance. It would have been nice if the hotel put on nightly entertainment or some background music at night but they only put it on couple of times a week and it is only for about 2 hours the bar has music in the day but not a night just the tv on which was a little boring. One of the barman ( old guy ) at night was quite miserable and made us feel we were putting him out by ordering a drink at the bar so we did not drink in there much. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the little touches like giving you cold water and ice lollys and offering you a cooling spray when you are on the beach or pool are what makes the hotel and the apartment rooms are amazing but there is not much to do in the evening and if it is raining. The hotel is the best in the st lawrence gap area and would recommend it. Read less
My husband and I just returned from a 5 night stay in the 1 bedroom suite at Ocean Two. The room was tastefully decorated and super clean which is hard to come by even in the 5 star resorts. The... Read more staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help but not over the top like some places. The food in the restaurant was always good and I especially enjoyed the buffet breakfast.
