I am proud to say that my partner and I got married at this amazing hotel. It is easily the best hotel we have ever stayed in; very modern, well equipped and spacious rooms that are maintained by the... Read more most friendly and efficient staff that you could imagine. Our entire party of 10 were blown away by the level of service provided by all members of staff. From a wedding perspective it could not have gone smoother. Keena, the wedding co-coordinator deserves a special mention. She was very professional, friendly and above all organised; every little detail was taken care of, allowing us to relax and enjoy our big day. A very big thank-you to everyone involved at the hotel, you certainly made our wedding and first visit to Barbados as memorable as we hoped it would be. We will definitely be back! My wife, my 11 year old daughter and I stayed for a week in August and had a wonderful time. There isn't anything about the hotel that I would take issue with but I would have to give a special... This hotel was amazing! We were there to celebrate our anniversary. Our flight was delayed a day and we didn't arrive until after midnight. No one was really around, but the hotel manager was there... Read more to greet us with cold towels and a fruity drink. It was very refreshing after a long day and a half of travel. Our room was fantastic! We had a one bedroom with a balcony over looking the pool and beach. The room was more like a condo. It had everything you could need, to make it your home away from home: kitchen with stove, microwave and dishwasher, plates, utensils, etc; there was also a washer and dryer. The furniture was very clean and the bed was very comfortable and plush. The bathroom was very spacious with dual sinks and a fantastic rain shower head. Before we arrived, we filled out a pre-arrival grocery form, and all of our requested items were neatly put away in the fridge. We were pleasantly surprised to see our view in the morning, while eating breakfast on our balcony. The beach is beautiful and every morning, the staff set up the lounge chairs around the pool and beach. You will never see garbage on the sand or near the pools, as they keep everything very clean. It seemed like most guests stayed around the pool area, but we prefer to enjoy the sea/ocean when we are on vacation. There were some nice waves with people surfing and body boarding, and we were still able to enjoy being in the water. The staff is absolutely FANTASTIC! They were all so helpful and ready to provide great recommendations of things to do, where to eat and what to see and how to get there....always with a smile and "my pleasure." All of the cocktails were consistent, whether you ordered from the lobby bar or the pool bar and were very delicious and refreshing. We could also easily exchange our U.S. dollars at the front desk. From the hotel, you can easily walk along the main strip in the St. Lawrence Gap and go to many different restaurants, both fine dining and casual, as well as do a little shopping. There are several street vendors along that strip, but all you have to say is "no thank you" if you aren't interested. We loved the resort and the location and would definitely come back for a second visit! Read less
A family of 3, we stayed for 15 nights 03 - 15 Aug '14 and are already trying to work out how to get back there!. We flew from New York via Miami arriving in Barbados at 1 in the morning instead of... Read more 11 at night (good old American Airlines!!). On arrival at about 2.15am the hotel was quiet, nevertheless we were still offered fruit punch (freshly made for us) and cold towels as we completed the usual formalities before being shown to our 6th floor room. First impressions of the room - wow - immaculate and with absolutely top notch facilities. Never ending supply of ice, plumbed in chilled water, 4 burner hob, microwave, dish washer, toaster, blender, coffee machine, washer, dryer - you name it we had it - except a tea pot! Nice twin basins in the bathroom and a choice of showers (pulsed or normal from the hand held or wall mounted shower, or the absolute deluge from the bucket sized shower head on the ceiling) in the large walk in wet room. If you need a TV then there's a large digital in the lounge and a slightly smaller one in the bedroom. Next morning we saw for the first time the view from inside the apartment across the verandah - breathtaking - looking straight out over the sea through the decorative ironworks of the verandah, a view that could have been stolen from a quality travel advertisement. Walk out on the verandah and look down on the 3 small pools, the immaculate, cream coloured beach and the many plush sun loungers and umbrellas just begging to be used. If that's not enough then venture up to the roof terrace for another small pool, almost 360 deg views and the plushest sun loungers you will ever meet, great stuff. There is absolutely no doubt though that the biggest asset of this hotel is its amazing staff. Everyone without exception will do everything they possibly can to make your stay as relaxing and care free as possible, and always with a big, genuine smile and cheery hello. Churlish to mention names but Zina and Melinda on the front desk will give you the answer before you ask the question, Shantelle in the dining room smiles for Barbados and Michael on the beach makes sure that everything is absolutely spot on - when he's not out with guests on the hobbie cat looking for turtles or just plain sailing (in which case everyone else looks after you). There's a small supermarket 100yds from the hotel which helps make self catering easy. You're also at one end of St Lawrence Gap, famed for its pubs, clubs, restaurants and nightlife. Well it may have been a throbbing entertainment centre once upon a time but no longer, it's now much quieter and pleasant area to walk and to seek out an evening meal when you don't fancy cooking. On Fridays the hotel arranges transport to Oistins (the local town) for you to chill (or lime!) at the weekly "fish fry" where marlin, dolphin fish (a fish not a dolphin!), snapper, swordfish etc all fresh off the bbq can be ordered. I won't list the several other "must do" attractions but Zina has all the info and will happily make all arrangements for you whatever you chose to do. Finally it should be said that Barbados IS SAFE. No matter where we went, be it daytime or evening, we never felt in any way intimidated. In fact I began to mentally compare the unsolicited friendly greetings with the friendly bonjour's so readily given in France. It's a great place and a great hotel, and as I said right at the top we're already looking for a way back. Read less

He seemed to be ending his shift just as we had entered but he very nicely offered his service and returned to make us drinks while we waited to be escorted to our room. The Room/Penthouse: We occupied a penthouse on the top floor; it was just breathtaking and heart warming. It felt like home. The two rooms were both cleanly and extremely spacious and well suited for the number of persons staying. We were all comfortable, beds, couches, chairs everything was comfy and relaxing. Not to forget our amazing beach view every morning. The utensils and kitchen utilities were all clean and working efficiently-fridge stove etc. Though there was one malfunction with our fridge but staff were swift on dealing with this problem, complimenting the amazing service. Facilities: Gym facility was good and all equipment was in good-working condition. Likewise pools were great especially the top deck pool..the view from there was also quite beautiful- all locations - east west north and south of the hotel were in sight and each view was just as picturesque. Immaculate Service: Nothing much to say but EXCELLENT service throughout. Morning, night, evening...hotel staff/room service guys were always there. All were friendly, nice and cheerful and always made sure we were alright. Not one problem at all with their service. Location: The Gap ? Where else would a bunch of young persons wanna be in the summer time? This location was perfect. Nightlife in the gap with clubs was well fit for our stay. Plus close proximity to the beaches ? What more can we ask for ? Beach and pools all day...party all night. Ahh, yes yes yes. Also many grocery shops and stores were just about 5 minutes away...which was really convenient. Conclusion: Ocean Two Hotel....is just...quite frankly...amazing and i would recommend this for both locals on staycations and tourists visiting ! The prefect place to unwind and relax.. and celebrate graduation !! Definitely wanna return again soon ! Read less
