TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
Stayed here before our cruise for 3 nights. Lovely modern hotel, great waterfall shower. Didn't eat here so can't comment I preferred to eat with the locals in the shacks further up from the hotel... Read more . The pool area is nice and it was appreciated when the staff spray you with a cooling spray, nice touch. The waves are rough I watched surfers one evening I prefer the west coast where it is calmer. One comment is that is was our honeymoon and no fuss what so ever was made I think this stood out more as on our return from the cruise we stayed at Mango Bay in Holetown for 3 nights and they filled our room with rose petals and give us bottle of bubbly. My wife and I celebrated our silver wedding here and had a wonderful two weeks. We stayed in a one bedroom ocean front suite room 506 and everything was perfect. We have visited many countries but... Read more this must be the best hotel ever. Excellent service from Roxanne who looked after our room. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. A special mention to all the staff on reception but especially to Malinda who was brilliant and we cannot thank her enough for all she did for us. Shantelle was so much fun whilst serving us in the restaurant and on the beach. The staff here really do deserve praise because they make the holiday perfect. I just hope that the hotel owners realise what excellent staff they have. A short walk from the hotel takes you down "The Gap" with it's many bars and restaurants where you meet the friendly locals. It is one of the most safe places to walk out at night. This wasn't our first trip to Barbados, but it was definitely the best.If you want perfection this is one place to visit Read less
This is a bit late, but I wanted to write a review of my stay at the Ocean Two in Barbados, back in May of 2013. It was the most adorable little boutique hotel! I stayed in a One Bedroom... Read more Oceanfront Suite and WOW! I was lucky enough to be right in the middle of the building with a FANTASTIC view of the ocean! The room was very clean and was HUGE! The bathroom was amazing!! Largest shower I have ever been in! I was with a group of friends, so we were always having a good time in the pool, as some of them got some amazing swim out suites! The food was delicious, but there was only one restaurant. However, the hotel was in a GREAT location within walking distance to some nightlife, which worked out very well for all of us. I would go back in a heartbeat! :) Read less
My partner and I stayed here for a week in May. The hotel itself is perfect, fabulous rooms, great beach and a short walk to the Gap. We had a bit of a bad start however, as the hotel airport pickup... Read more didn't arrive, so we had to speak to security at the airport who pointed us in the direction of a guy who works for them usually and eventually he got in touch with them, and they sent a taxi for which they paid. We were not too upset by it, determined to stay positive on our holidays, but we were waiting over half an hour and when we arrived at the hotel they didn't even mention it or apologise. On check out, they even tried to charge the full amount for it before I complained and then we had the apology. I asked to cancel the return leg, which we had booked before arriving, as we discovered that their prices were double the local taxis. Prices in the hotel were in general very high, with happy hour drinks just making it more reasonable. As a young couple we expected to be harassed by the guys selling drugs but honestly I never heard them say anything about it, all they said to us was "hey, how's it going?" And we just greeted them back and never had any problems. The managers party on Wednesday night is a lovely idea and we met some lovely couples there. We also took the oistins shuttle which we really enjoyed, but it leaves just as the party is really getting started. I'd recommend making your own way there and back. Some staff, Xina in particular, were really lovely and helpful when organising our trips, but we found the bar staff a bit cold and not willing to have a conversation. The loungers were so comfy and I never got tired of the ocean view. Overall it was a great experience. Read less
This hotel was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Shantel was the beach bartender and she was the absolute best, she told us how to get around town and where to go.
