88 hotel rooms and apartment suites with lift, all with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, flatscreen cable TV with films on demand*, complimentary WiFi Internet access, iPod docking station, tea/coffee making facilities, in-room safe, iron and board and hairdryer. Hotel rooms have inland views, no balcony, with 1 king-size bed and sleeps max 2 adults.

Room Upgrade

1-Bedroom Oceanfront Suites are as hotel rooms but with separate living room with queen-size sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen complete with fridge, dishwasher, oven and stove, washing/drying machine, balcony with direct sea and beach views. The bedroom has 1 king-size bed and sleeps max 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. 2-Bedroom Oceanfront Suites are as above but with 2 bedrooms. Master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and has a partial ocean view. Sleeps max 5 adults or 4 adults and 2 children. 2-Bedroom Bay View Suites are as above. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and balcony overlooking gardens and/or Oistins Bay. Sleeps max 5 adults or 4 adults and 2 children.

Read more hotel arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport. Anthony was waiting for us with a smile and offered us water and a cold towel when we got into the car. The hotel is a quick trip from the airport. You are brought into the lobby where you sit at a table and complete all of the registration requirements. You are asked to pay for your room at this time which I had never encountered before. We had booked a 2 BR ocean view suite. It worked well for us. The living area was roomy enough for all of us to hang out comfortably. There was a deck off the room with a lounge chair, a table and 4 chairs. We spent most of our time there. The bedrooms were small and each had a king size bed. The "master bedroom" was lacking in storage with only a small closet and 4 hangers. The only drawer space was in a desk. This room is rented separately which I can't understand as it is so small and has no view. The other bedroom had a bit more storage with 2 small closets and a dresser. Each room had a patio but the view was of buildings. The bathrooms were a nice size and the showers were big. I loved the rain shower!! The kitchen was nicely equipped but we didn't use it. There is a very small grocery store across the street if you need some items. We bought coffee as the type supplied in the room was not very good but didn't realize that the room did not have filters or paper towels to create our own. The pool area is small, as is the pool. We never got the chance to sit at the pool as people went down very early in the morning and claimed all of the chairs (even though the hotel says this is not allowed). The beach area is bigger and as other people have said, the water is pretty rough. When the tide is low, you can walk around the bend to another part of the beach which is better suited for swimming. I Enjoyed watching the surfers (there's a surf school next door) catch some waves. Around 11 am each day they come around with "iced lollies". A very nice touch. They also come around asking if you want to be sprayed with water! The only problem I had with the beach is that people were constantly coming over to try to sell you something or offer their massage services. One boy seemed to be offering more than a massage! Some days the beach staff sent them away but on most they were allowed to approach the guests. A polite no thank you usually got them moving along. Happy hour is 12:30 and 4:30 and the blowing of a conch shell announced the time. Loved this but the hotel never seemed to be ready for the onslaught of guests wanting drinks. They need to be better prepared for these times with more than one bartender! Breakfast was included in our room rate and was a buffet with plenty of choices. We ate lunch at the hotel every day and was always happy with our choices. One of the reasons why we chose Ocean 2 was it's close proximity to St. Lawrence Gap which offered many different choices for dinner. We walked each time and always felt safe, even with the many comments from men as we passed by. Our only disappointing meal was the hotels BBQ night. We arrived after 8:00 pm and were the only table! Food was ok. Steel drum band was two men...one who played the steel drum (often off key and off tempo) and another who played the background music off a computer. But we had a great time because of Shantelle who danced and laughed with us.There is a roof top pool that we didn't see until our last night. I wish we had ventured up there earlier. They have wi-fi in the hotel but as soon as you are on the beach you lose it. What really made our stay enjoyable was the staff. A special shout out to Nicholas, Jean-Marc, Dario and Shantelle! Read more Lawrence Gap and not in the nicest area, and is 5-10 minutes from St Lawrence Gap, which is good or bad depending on what you want. 2) Beach - the beach is quite small, covered in seaweed and very rough - no-one swam in the 10 days we were there. You can see much nicer Dover Beach around the corner. 3) Room - we were in a standard room which was a very nice room itself, but these are on the side of the building overlooking the side streets. I think unless you can get an ocean view suite don't stay here as you'll be hugely disappointed. Ours was on the third floor which was dreadful, it was over the kitchens and laundry and next to linens and electrical cupboards - we had constant loud noise from delivery vans, trolleys of rubbish & staff going about their work very loudly and were woken constantly throughout the night. We didn't use our balcony once and can't believe they actually sell this room! Of course we asked to be moved but the hotel was full as the cricket was on, but again were disappointed with how the staff handled our complaint - they kept saying they would check and get back to us and three days later, after standing at the front desk for an hour they finally admitted they'd not be able to move us - as other guests continued to arrive and be upgraded around us. We spoke with Paul the manager, he was understanding and gave us a free meal and cocktails one evening but I would say do not accept this room if you want any kind of rest or sleep on your holiday. 4) Staff - the staff we came into contact with didn't seem very happy, and did the minimum. There is much that I love about Ocean Two - as many here have said, it's a quiet hotel. No music, no pool aerobics, no water slides, just pure relaxation. The hotel attracts an older, European... Read more crowd that likes to quietly sit by the pool or by the beach. The pool set-up is quiet (large lounge chairs in clusters of two with umbrellas), as is the beach set up (though, warning, the ocean is pretty rough near Ocean Two. I wouldn't recommend diving in for a swim). And the location is great- a short drive to Bridgetown, a walk to the (largely unexciting) restaurants in St. Lawrence Gap, and a short drive to some very mellow beaches with calm water. We were in Room #101, two bedrooms with a large living room, kitchen, washer/dryer, two bathrooms, and a lovely veranda with a table that could sit four and a chaise lounge. The set up was fantastic - we usually made breakfast and lunch at home (you can buy overpriced groceries at the Dover Supermarket a block away, or drive ten minutes to Massey Supermarket for more selection at better prices). The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was fantastic and stocked with everything we needed. The only downside to #101 is that occasionally, noise filters in, either from the side of the hotel where taxis queue up, or from the hallway where the housekeeping staff seemed to stage their cleaning supplies, often rather early in the morning. I should also note: It's also a hotel with limited amenities - there is one restaurant (and, we didn't eat there once the entire time we were at Ocean Two), a tiny lobby with a TV that seems perpetually tuned to CNN, and a tiny lobby bar. And while the staff in the hotel is very friendly, they also seemed surprisingly uninformed about anything. Say you need directions somewhere (one day, we wanted to drive to Bathsheba). You'll be lucky if someone can direct you. On one occasion, we asked for directions to Orchid World and one hotel worker said "go right" while the other said "go left." Basically, you'll be left to figure things out on your own, but that's a small drawback to an otherwise lovely hotel. Read less
