TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
You would think this being our 16th visit to a Couples resort we would have been treated like royalty. However, this was not the case. We had requested rooms that we had occupied many times before in... Read more block 4 but upon arrival we were told we were in the old block 1 After a long argument at reception we managed to get our friends who are both 80 into block .were there is a lift facility. We were told we had to go in old block 1 as the hotel was full. The room had the worst case of condensation you could imagine. The walls were dripping with water, the bedding was so damp we had to sleep on towels. The next morning we had a pool of water measuring 4ft x 2ft at the base of one wall. We complained again at reception and they told we could be moved by 11 am. to cut a long story short and after many enquiries we finally got into our requested room at around 5 pm waisting us a whole day. When we finally unpacked our suitcases ever item was damp & creased through being stored in the block 1 room for almost 24 hours. We were told by the Manager the next day that block 1 had been closed down. We have enjoyed Couples holidays many times and on this trip we were booked for 3 weeks at two separate resorts, Tower Isle for 10 nights & San Souci for 11 nights. The first night experience at Tower Isle has left a us feeling very let down especially when we found out that a couple who had arrived at the same time as we did and were first time visitors got one of the rooms we had requested in block 4. However, we had a much better reception at San Souci when we arrived there for the second part of our holiday and got the rooms we had requested immediately. Read less
Stayed here for 8 nights with 30 friends and family for our wedding on the island. The wedding services were really great, they were very accommodating to all of our requests. Here are the only two... Read more things that didn't give it a 5 star review: 1. Room quality - everything in the room was dated and from reading other reviews it was expected but for the price per night, i think a little more updating could be done. 2. Rehearsal Dinner - I thought this would take place in the one of the restaurants as stated in on the website, but this turned out to be in the buffet area, where we had already eaten almost every meal. A large table to seat as all was set up but it was very difficult for the people sitting on the booth side to get up and get food. Also, my now father in law wanted to give a speech and was told that he couldn't do so for 40 minutes since the band was saying and "they had other customers" and needed to meet their needs. About 5 minutes later the band stopped and the speech was given. If we had realized it was going to be in the buffet, we would have paid extra to do something on the beach or set up a group trip to Scotchies for their amazing food. The wedding itself was beautiful on the island, worth the extra money, it was totally private and a great way to spend 5 hours with our family and friends. The service provided was top notch, anything you needed you were given. The activities were also great, the catamaran was great, don't miss it. The food was pretty decent, the only thing I don't like is the reservation system. One thing I would do next time is a private day tour with the Driver, Danny Pantry. The hotel has a relationship with him and if you plan to leave the property, ask for him. We used him for travel to and from places but he was very knowledgeable and can take you to all of the hidden gems/ local places for great food and fun. He has a really nice van that would be great to ride around in for the day. Overall it was a wonderful wedding and great hotel, not too big like other mega resorts and was easy to find people in our group. Will def. go back next year! Read less

We stayed at Couples Negril a few years ago and were dying to visit Couples again. There is absolutely nothing to complain about CTI. It was paradise, amazing, wonderful, fantastic!! The staff... Read more makes the vacation. Every single one is incredibly nice, friendly, and accommodating. The resort is gorgeous. Well taken care of. My favorite part was that it is totally secluded, including the beaches. You can't see any other resorts and there is no one else on the beach but CTI, so that means no vendors walking the beac which makes the trip even more relaxing. The rooms are comfortable and the staff does a great job cleaning them daily and turning down the beds at night. The food is amazing. I'm gluten free and felt so special at every meal. If I couldn't eat something, the chefs revised it so I could eat it or made me something special. Very personalized. We ate at the buffet for breakfast, the veggie bar or grill for lunch, and enjoyed dinners at the Verandah, 8 Rivers, and Bayside for dinner. 5-6 courses at each restaurant were perfectly portioned and tasted gourmet. There are a ton of activities included and we enjoyed the catamaran cruise, kayaking, and paddle boating. We were so sad to leave, and I'm already planning our next visit back!! Read less
