We stayed in the enclave hotel for 2 weeks in January. It is a perfect hotel if you are here for the parks. They offer free bus to and from some parks. We didn't need a car. Location is perfect. We... Read more even walked some days . I was abit worried about staying here after reading some of the reviews but all i can say is the people that left those bad reviews must be so stuck up and going out of there way to find problems. Staff very good. Indoor pool/gym open 24hrs a day. Outdoor pool close at 10pm. 1 thing i didn't like about the hotel is the guy sitting in the coner trying to sell you timeshare but this happens everywhere now even in the parks. They offer you cash/cheep park tickets to come and visit the new resort and you need to bring passport / credit cards. Its really not worth it just tell him you are not interested. They get abit pushy. Oh and the free breakfast is just bread / muffins / fruit / coffee / tea. But you can upgrade to hot buffet breakfast for $4.25 each. All in all i give the hotel 9/10 and we will definitely be back. 😀 Read less

Well when we first arrived at 10pm to check in after a long flight with 2 small very tired children and my disabled father we were given our room keys and couldn't wait to get to sleep for the night... Read more . Ha ha I spoke to soon the first rooms were dirty and not adequate for small children. The second rooms had not even been cleaned with dirty sheets and towels everywhere. The third rooms were checked by one of the staff who said they were spotless and fine, yeah right if you call blood up the walls and a travel cot that had more stains to see on it than the actually pattern. Decided by this time we would spend one night in this room fully clothed and kept our shoes on as the floor was so disgusting. First thing in the morning saw our Virgin rep and explained the situation and showed her the pictures of the rooms. Went and had breakfast and then was told we had been found new upgraded rooms free of charge. These rooms were completely different and it was like staying in a new hotel. The new rooms were lovely, clean and just what we needed for two/four weeks stay. Thanks to Vera who was lovely this was made possible. The breakfast that you get if booking through Virgin holidays is fantastic and Enrique who serves the breakfast is brilliant and makes you smile and happy for your day ahead. He should be given a pay rise as he is fantastic and was get with my two children one of whom he named 'curly' due to her hair. I know a hotel is just somewhere to sleep but it makes a difference if the room is comfortable and clean which the new rooms were and as long as we got these rooms again I would definitely stay here again as the location is fantastic for Universal, Seaworld and not to far from Disney. Plus you have I-drive with all the shops, restaurants and mini golf etc the evenings. Read less

OK, so this is an amended review as I have had time to reconsider my earlier review which had been based on my previous interactions with reception. We did encounter problems on arrival and with the... Read more initial cleaning of our room but this has been rectified following the intervention by the duty manager Vera (many thanks) Straight up, the rooms are quite large but are in need of some TLC and from our experience and discussions with fellow guests can be a bit of a lottery. The hotel seems to cater more for their Spanish guests who can be rather arrogant and rude. Would we come back ... Thanks to Vera's intervention, probably... However I would need to be assured a renovated room prior to booking Read less

Visited as a couple in August 2013 Weather very humid, rained most days but only for around 2 hour or so on and off. very hot. The hotel was not anything special but does what it says on the tin... Read more , good nights sleep big spacious room and balcony overlooking the lake and carrier drive. The room was clean as you expect and service from staff 5* lovely people and very accommodating. As far as the hotel goes for me and my partner it was just a place to rest our heads at night as every day and evening we spent out at either theme parks or visiting the many attractions they had on offer very close in the area. Lots of lovely restaurants especially UNO bar and grill, fantastic food and atmosphere with great waiters. BB KINGS restaurant absolutely fantastic live bands and great food highly recommend for a good night out. There are many more great restaurants only a short drive or bus ride from the hotel. If your looking to go out drinking point Orlando has lots of good bars, one called senor frogs fantastic night out although the cocktails are expensive your paying for the atmosphere more than anything. For a cheaper alternative we occasionally visited the many all you can eat restaurants for only around 8 dollars each. The hotel is situated very well for travel to all the theme parks and main tourist attractions, and is easily accessible by bus which we used every day called the ( I BUS ) but the bus on occasions was very busy. but cheap as chips. Wet and wild a short walk behind the hotel and defiantly warrants half a day to enjoy all the slides they have especially if you go with the kids, not over priced and a fun day all in all. Discovery cove a day to remember, swimming in the reef with all the fish around you and swimming with dolphins something both me and my partner will never forget. We had a fantastic holiday mainly because of all the area has to offer in terms of the food, theme parks, great bars and the shopping malls, the hotel is good that provides you with what you need which is a good nights sleep after a long days walking round, and the main positive point would be that it is in very close reach of everything. Would defiantly return to this hotel. Read less

We have recently returned from a two week stay at the enclave suites. After reading some earlier reviews we were all a bit dubious about what we would find when we checked in. Yes, it's true, the... Read more rooms do need an update, our bed was not the best, every time my husband or I moved the other one rolled down into the middle of the bed, so it was not very comfortable, the fridge and air conditioning units were quite noisy too and disturbed our sleep. That said however, after a couple of days in the parks we were so shattered that we did end up getting used to the bed and the nocturnal noises and slept quite well. Our children's room was comfortable and had enough storage for them both. They also had a lovely deep bath in their ensuite, which we all made use of. The shower in our ensuite was hot and powerful. We didn't use the kitchen at all except to make a cuppa so we couldn't comment on the facilities but it looked suitable. For what we paid we had a good time and got exactly what type of room we requested so we're quite happy overall. The staff are what make this hotel. The Virgin breakfast staff are happy and friendly. Enrique and Gill were great with our daughters, and the fully loaded omelettes they cooked were tasty and set you up for the day. Our other daughter liked her plate of double nothing every day,(she doesn't eat eggs) my husband loved the pastries and the other items served, including bacon, sausages, cereals, etc (not all on the same day) were all tasty and filling. Bernetta was bright and breezy, she floated through the restaurant most mornings, chatting to everyone. We did not need reception much but when we did speak to them they were all perfectly pleasant too. The hotel has a very good location for walking up to all the restaurants on the I drive and the universal bus service was great. So, while there are issues, because of the lovely staff, we would return again here again as it was convenient, friendly and reasonable priced. If you want more from your hotel then maybe you may want to think about where you stay but if like us you want to be out in the parks all day, have hot water for a bath, have plenty of choices to eat within walking distance and staff who seem to enjoy their job and smile when they talk to you then this hotel does the job! The staff are the reason why I marked it four star, not the hotel rooms. If you have booked this hotel, read the room tips on here and email the hotel before you travel, they do seem to accommodate you where they can. We had top floor in block three overlooking the lake and had good views and found it to be quite quiet neighbour wise. Read less
