My new husband, our 4year old son and myself have just returned from our 2 week honeymoon at The Enclave Suites! We have had a fabulous time and we will definitely return. The location for a start... Read more is fantastic, opposite the Pirate Show and TGI Fridays. Just around the corner from I Drive and a 10 minute walk from Wet n Wild. You can also make use of the free shuttle to and from the theme parks (be sure to book this at guest services the day before). Or if you like you can walk to Universal (probs about 20mins). This is great because it saves a lot of money on parking! Our room was great! Had a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, microwave oven, hob and small grill/toaster as well as all the utensils and pots and pans you can need. It was more than big enough for just us and the balcony was a bonus too! The rooms were cleaned and towels were changed upon request so if you wanted you could have it done everyday. The complimentary breakfast was great! We used it every morning. Cereal, toast, cakes, tea/coffee and juice. What more could you want? And if you did want more you could upgrade to the cooked breakfast for $5.99. Ok the room was a bit dated but who actually cares! You're only in there for half an hour. The Pizza Hut do an all you can eat buffet on a Thursday teatime $5.99 adults and $3.99 kids. Monday Madness where a medium cheese or pepperoni pizza cost $5 each. And on a Saturday they put on the poolside bbq. We got 3 burgers, loaded fries, a cocktail, slushie, 2 pitchers of beer and a coke for about $50. It was fab! There was always a parking space, the shop was great, the laundry facilities are on the 3rd and 4th floors and cost $2.50 for the washer and $2.50 for the drier (in quarters which can be obtained from reception or the shop) and on the5th floor there is a vending machine and ice machine. Just one word of warning - DO NOT RING ENGLAND FROM THE ROOM. We made 1 short phonecall because the phonecard we had wouldnt work and when I went to settle the bill it cost $52.81! There is a big 55% surcharge which we didnt know about! Overall apart from the phonecall this was an amazing holiday and we didnt want to leave! Read less
We stayed in the Enclave for the first week of our honeymoon travelling around Florida in May 2015. Came back with really mixed feelings about the hotel. Our first impressions weren't the best, but... Read more by the time we left the place had grown on us. Firstly, I have to say the service on reception was great throughout our stay. I might be a bit biased as we were given an upgrade to a room with a huge terrace as it was our honeymoon, but the staff were really friendly and helpful whenever we asked for anything throughout our stay. There was a mix up when our friends tried to order us a surprise bottle of champagne (which was actually given to a different couple who have left another review) but that's a really specific example. Our first impression of the rooms weren't great. As the other reviews say, the rooms are all privately owned and considering the location and functionality of the hotel there isn't really any incentive for them to be done up anytime soon. For that reason it's easy to overlook the dated decor and faded decoration (as long as you don't go expecting luxury then it's fine). However, the room was unbelievably noisy! The fridge made a constant wailing sound, the AC unit was crazy loud and the generators or main AC unit attached to the reception building rumbles throughout the night. Our toilet also decided to flush every couple of minutes or so, just to keep us on our toes. However, we did learn to live with this as were only staying there a week. The absolute worst thing about the hotel was the breakfast. I would strongly advise anyone to either upgrade to the improved breakfast which is suitable for humans, or use the facilities in your room to make your own. The standard breakfast is held in a weird room with no windows and trestle tables, and consists of stale toast and fake butter, with a few mini doughnuts thrown in. It feels like eating in a prison, and the food was absolutely disgusting. Please take my word for it and don't even try it! Even if you do, be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes to get hold of the toaster. Despite all of the above, I'm reluctant to slate the hotel too badly. The location is absolutely fantastic if you're more interested in the Universal attractions than Disney (a taxi to Magic Kingdom will set you back about $45-50, and the bus services there aren't great either). You're never more than 10 minutes by shuttle bus from both universal parks and a 10 minute walk to wet and wild. You're right in the middle of International drive with all the chain restaurants etc and the trolley bus is only a couple of minutes walk away. The room was also a great size, and the standard of cleanliness was quite good as well. All in all, I don't think I'd stay there again as the issues above probably outweigh the benefits. However, I think if you get the right room and don't go for the breakfast, then the Enclave is a functional and friendly place right in the middle of the action. As long as your biggest priorities aren't luxury or peace and quiet, then hopefully you'll enjoy your stay. Read less

Read more We stayed in the enclave suite from 1st to 14th may, 2015. We arrived mid afternoon and the first room we were given had an awful musty smell about it...it was spotlessly clean but i think it must hv been the drains. We went back to reception and told them we werent happy. I hv to say they cudnt do enough for us and sorted us with a lovely room on the top floor of building 3. They were lovely and didnt make us feel awful for moaning at all. The maids only clean if u put notice out on your door.....we did it every other day which was fine they did a great job. The rooms are slightly dated but have got everythin that you would need for your holiday. The onsite shop is expensive as is the shop across road. One we had slept and settled in we found a walmart and did our shopping there. The location is great, theres plenty of places to eat or just drink a five min walk away. Also a pizza hut on site. The free breakfasts are more than adequate, they did a lovely omelette. We didnt have it every day as i bought food in but fine if you want to have it before your day at the parks. Overall a smashing hotel, not a 5 star but perfectly adequate and clean. I was worried because of some of the reviews before i went but there was no need, i dont know what some people expect....this hotel and its staff do not deserve the bad reviews. Thank you enclave staff we had a lovely holiday. Read less
