TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
Although this hotel was very reasonable priced and in a central location. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. When we arrived we were checked in quickly however, our friends had to change their room it... Read more was so bad - they described it as bates motel :) Ours wasn't too bad and we did get an upgrade from the room we booked. It was clean but dated. The reception areas in the hotel are a real let down. There's no where welcoming to come back to after a hard day at the parks to relax and have a couple of drinks. The pizza hut area where they serve breakfast and the shop was really smelly and only went for the continental breakfast once because of this (which by the way is only toast and a choice of two tiny pastries). The lounge area had a smell of urine and looked more like an old folks home! There was a couple of occasions where I found staff rude, however in the main they were ok. Really didn't experience the outstanding service described by some others on here. The outdoor pool areas were good and kids enjoyed this. The spa in the indoor pool area looked dirty, the water was green and if it got onto clothes / towels they ended up smelling quite bad. One elevator in our block was broken for the full two weeks so we used the stairs quite a lot to the fifth floor as the lift was busy and could end up waiting forever. We came back one night after being out all day looking forward to a shower but the water was off in our block. Reception staff advised it would only be off for half an hour but was much longer than this which meant we couldn't get showered to go back out for tea. I know I have given a lot of negatives but we really weren't in much so didn't spoil my holiday but I wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend to anyone else. Read less
Staying at the Enclave now and have found this hotel a perfect base to get around Orlando. We have a large two bedroom apartment, two bathrooms, kitchen and lounge area. Tv in each room. Rooms are... Read more clean and tidy, maid service is great, whenever you want your room cleaning or fresh towels just hang the notice on your door and it's done. Breakfast is busy but always a constant supply of hot breakfast or cereal/fruit/yogurts etc. Our daughter has had her 6th birthday whilst we have been here and the breakfast staff made such a fuss of her giving her balloons, a cake and even singing happy birthday to her. Have to specifically mention Yamilet & Bernadette who are fantastic fun every morning and so welcoming. Last but by no means least special thanks to Angel the manager from the hotel shop/pizza who throughout our holiday has gone way and beyond for us, always helpful, friendly, happy to offer any advise and help to us during our first visit to Orlando. He is a credit to the Enclave hotel. We have loved Florida, so much to do and we can't wait to return and we will most certainly be staying at the Enclave again. Read less
My family has visited Orlando dozens of times, and this hotel isn't one we'd return to. There wasn't much that positively stood out beside the view of balcony. The bed sank completely in the middle... Read more , the continental breakfast dining area was absolutely disgusting, paying a $3.99 upgrade for a warm meal was ridiculous considering there wasn't anything left in the trays, and my kids complained of sore throats and noses (which I'm guessing was due to lack of sanitation.) We found a used tampon under the sink among other filthy areas in the room. However, I hate to say I have been to rooms in Orlando far more loathesome than this one was. I'm just really glad we only stayed the one night. It's no wonder this was the only place within 20 miles that had vacancy for the weekend. Read less
Stayed here on the 12th Oct. We were a party of 3 adults so booked a 2 bedroom apartment. We were allocated in building 1, it wasnt a refurbished rook but there was nothing wrong with it. The first... Read more bedroom had a double/king bed with ensuite bathroom with shower & the second had 2 x twin beds with ensuite with bath & shower. Plenty of space in the living area & the kitchen area was well stocked with glasses, plates ect. No problems at all with the aircon, just needed to leave the bedroom door open a bit to get the cool air in. The charge for the safe is $1 per day but is well worth the money. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days but if you want them cleaned more often you can put a sign on the door. Used the pool twice & always quiet at the pool side & never had any trouble getting a sun lounger, even in the afternoon. There is a bbq at the poolside on a Sat which we found very good value for money. The hotel offers shuttles to Universal, Seaworld & Aquatica free of charge but we only used it to go to Universal because to get to Seaworld you had to get the free shuttle to Universal & then wait for another shuttle to the other parks (you could just get on a lynx bus for $2 & get there in 15 mins) The shuttle to Disney is $12pp but again we just caught the Lynx but No.8 then No.50 (they give you a free transfer tickey) & this costs $2pp each way. Location is really good bars, restaurants & gift shops all within a short walking distance & there's a premium outlet mall a 10 min bus ride away. Generally we were only in the room to sleep, it was clean & tidy & had plenty of space. That was all we needed & would definitely return. Read less
