Shellane was happy to do this for us and we had a room on the 18th floor in Versailles Tower with a beautiful view. Had I not asked for the upgrade our room would have been over a very noisy area. I also knew to request at check-in complimentary newspapers. They give free Investors Business Daily, Wall Street Journal, New York Times every day but you have to request this at check-in. This is a thank you to the great service from Bruno, the parking valet who works at the Fontainebleau. In July 2012, I drove a rental car to the hotel and first attempted to park in a parking lot... Read more . However, the car was acting strange... after shifting the gear into "park" and turning the car off, I could not get the key out of the ignition, even after several attempts. Very worried, I drove the car to the valet area and was greeted by Bruno. I explained the problem to him. Not only did Bruno fix the problem then, but he also showed me how to avoid it in the future, and he did it all without accepting any tip money, which I tried to offer him. Bruno truly is a nice person! Thanks, Bruno! Read less
I booked my reservation in September for a December stay-fortunately, I got a free night promotion, including a $100 resort credit. Fabulous! I booked in September, due to the crowds at Art Basel. I... Read more booked an OCEANVIEW room-when I checked in, I was confused about the towers, etc., but I remember the front desk guy muttered DELUXE room. When I got to my room in the Versailles Tower, my room was definitely facing the Bay, no ocean, and was in front of the elevator. Yaaaah-I always request away from the elevator! I called the front desk immediately, and was told that there were no other ocean view rooms avail that night, but I would be moved tomorrow. Fine-at 10.30a the next day, I was phoned, and promised a new OCEANVIEW room, and that I would be called when the room was ready. By 2p, I heard nothing. I went to the front desk and was told that in 30-45 min my room would be ready, and I would again, receive a phone call! By 3p, nothing! I decided to leave and go to the art show. I returned after 5p-still no phone call, and no one had moved my things. I went to the front desk, for the third time, and was told the room was ready. Why no phone call? Why did I have to spend my whole day managing this situation?? Why? Why? Why??? I moved to my new room, after waiting over ten minutes for the bellman, who met me halfway-he assured me it was a great room. Well, it was a very nice corner room-however, I looked out the window, and as I could see the ocean, most of my view was of the valet area?! That's okay, if it was called a partial ocean view. But there is no description on the website of a partial view-it says ocean! If it says ocean, it should definitely be ocean!! Housekeeping and room service was great-just didn't appreciate the deceptive room descriptions. For this reason, I have to give the FB a revised average rating! Read less

Upon arriving at the room my party and I were greeted by Sam C. warmly and Adam Lambert music was playing.
