TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
First stay at this property. Went on a short weekend getaway with my fiancée. We had a nice stay since we went outside of the hotel. Although a great beach front location, it is quite dated. We were... Read more in a double room since no kings were available, which was fine but rooms need work. The bathroom is way to small. The toilet is way to close to the sink and you can not have more then one person in it at a time. With just me and my fiancée it was a tight fit. With someone traveling with children it would not be very good. The bathroom doors should have locks on them and there was no exhaust fans in the bathroom. Taking a steamy shower we had to keep the door open to air it out. There's also this very nice full length mirror on the wall, only problem there's a bed right in front making it useless in that spot. Needs to be moved. Making the bathroom door a mirror might be a better idea. The $20 resort fee gives you no benefits' other then wifi, which actually we did not use since we spent most of our time at the beach anyway. And then $7 for parking should be included in the resort fee. But overall we had a descent stay for the time we were there. Will try a different property next time though. Read less
Ask a lot of questions. As a diamond status member, I was extremely dissatisfied with the overall performance of this hotel. I was given a $20 voucher for a free breakfast and wasn't provided... Read more details as to what it entailed. The hostess never said anything as she sat us at our table. The server came by and asked if we wanted coffee and if we had our vouchers -- she never said anything. However, after we done eating, we were handed a bill for $23.90 for 3 eggs, 1 slice of toast, 2 sausage links and 2 pcs of bacon. So we were actually charged almost $44 for breakfast. This was ridiculous. We had construction going on above us which was very disruptive and noisy. When we checked out, my husband walked to the breakfast area to get a cup of coffee and was told he needed to pay $2.75 for it. Needless to say, without a major change in policies, we will not stay here again. We didn't eat breakfast the second day of our stay due to the bad experience on the first day. Read less
This was our 2nd time visiting the Hilton Clearwater Beach. This time was over Labor Day weekend, 2013. We were celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary, & I mentioned that to the front desk when... Read more we arrived. It's not the cheapest Hotel.....but it's worth the money. You just can't beat the location, right on the beach. Walk out the hotel....and you're in the sand. Very friendly staff, especially the guys that work the beach. They can set you up with umbrellas & chaise lounges that you can keep all day. The Tiki Hut is right on the beach to quench your thursts, & they even had a beverage cart come by so you didn't even have to walk far to stay hydrated. You're right next to Pier 60, close to all kinds of restaurants & shopping. You don't have to have a car, you can walk to most everything. The sunsets on Clearwater Beach are awesome. Make sure to bring your cameras. I think we will only be staying at the Hilton on future trips...and there will be future trips. On our last day, we went out to dinner, at Cooters (excellent, by the way) and when we returned to our room, there was a bottle of champagne & chocolate covered strawberries, complimentary for our anniversary. Couldn't have asked for a better way to end our quick trip. Highly recommend Clearwater Beach, & if you want to stay on the Beach....stay at the Hilton! Read less
