Pulling up resort looks well maintained friendly staff inside restaurants needs a upgrade looks very boring and bland. My family was on 6th floor with intercoastal view we were happy to not stare at a building wanted to upgrade to ocean/pool view but it was $400 decided it wasn't worth it still happy with our decision. Our room had 2 queen beds the room could of been a bit bigger with maybe 2 more drawers for clothes ect... it was nice having a safe with a code that we set. The fridge is tiny and worthless we actually called front desk they brought up another fridge at midnight as we were losing our food from not being cold enough our milk/meet/ salads ect went bad if we ate it we would of gotten really sick. Unfortunately the 2nd fridge had the same problem the temp was all the way cold. We had to go buy 2 coolers and keep ice in there to keep our food coolers took up alot of the little room we had. Pillow are AMAZING bed very comfortable STAINS ON SHEETS each time housekeeping came in. Wish there was more hooks or places to hang wet clothing putting hooks on the balcony would be a nice touch for bathing suits to dry. The dish in bistro was absolutely disgusting it was a shrimp scallops spaghetti all 3 of us ordered it and only the shrimp got eaten it looked Appetizing was the most disgusting thing ever although in maystay tavern the steak, potatoes, asparagus was delicious 😋 . Beach was very far away the golf cart was supposed to be available to take you there and back if you wanted but all the times we wanted a ride no one was around. Pool was very nice love that it was deep 8ft towels were available trolleys on time. Beach chairs I had delivered from publix $20 ea ordered walmart for groceries food/dinners are a bit over-priced. Was very relaxing and enjoyed our stay. Pier 60 is the place to be wish the hotel was much closer because it ls an amazing environment night pure is insane. Still upset about our groceries and having no fridge for a week. I will come back to clearwater but I'll stay closer the pier 60 with a working fridge. Read less

The staff are so friendly and will do anything to assist and advise. We never had any difficultly getting a sun bed at anytime of the day. We never found the pool, crowded, it was heated also. Our room was a gulf view room had been renovated and had everything we needed. Water and coffee replenished daily. We had the buffet breakfast three times and was plentiful and varied, good value. Gluten free also catered for. Cocktails and smoothies from beach bar were very good. The hotel is right on the beautiful powdery sand, it only takes 5 mins to walk to the sea, no problem for at all, but there is a golf buggy if needed The trolley bus was free and was perfect for getting around Clearwater and beyond. I am glad we stuck to our guns and stuck with the hotel We stayed April 2024. Read less

This is one of our go-to Marriotts on the Gulf. Recently stayed there with our two kids (tween and teenager). Booked a two Queen room with no view and received a Platinum upgrade to a pool view room, which was on the corner and also had a view of the Gulf. Note that the pool view rooms mostly also have gulf views, though the water is about a quarter mile away from the hotel. There is a golf-cart that runs most of the day shuttling people from the pool to the water given the longer distance. There are beach volleyball courts and soccer goals set up as well. Chairs/umbrellas are about $50 for a set and well worth it given the heat in the spring/summer. The rooms were recently renovated and they are very clean and well appointed. Mainstays Tavern is fun with a pool table, a lot of TVs, and a decent menu. Rusty's is more upscale and the place for breakfast buffet (free for 2 people for Platinum+). We got it to-go each morning and the restaurant staff was incredibly friendly. The only thing the hotel needs is a bigger pool, which is rather small for the size of the hotel and cost of the rooms. Every chair is filled early in the morning, and by afternoon there is really nowhere to swim because it is so crowded. Definitely still worth the stay for the beach setup alone as there are not many options for this type of setup in Clearwater Beach. Hands down better than an Opal property, especially if you are Platinum+ and can get a free upgrade. Read less

I believe there is public access along the parking lot and thats fine but they had lounge chairs configured like a trap at end of path, do they realize if some one trips and gets injured how stupid an idea that is. Pay to park is a new feature also .

First the positives: * I think it’s the best location in Clearwater. Away from the hustle and bustle and a very nice private beach. * Hotel workers are very nice. * Beautifully renovated. Our hotel room is very pretty and well laid out. Now the needs improvement: * Pool is small. Lots of chairs, but plan to set an alarm at 6AM to “claim” your seats. * At the beach, a set of two beach chairs and an umbrella is $45. So $90 for a family of four. A little steep. * This is not a pampering or getting waited on type of hotel. You need to stand in line and wait for your food if you order by the pool (food or drinks). There are no pool waiters. * Food at restaurants is good, but the service seems a little slow everywhere we go. Again, everyone is really nice, but I think they could hire a few more people. * There should be a filtered water cooler on site (especially by the pool). Filtered is the key word here. * My biggest problem was that ingredients at all places were not readily available. This delayed the process everywhere we ordered. Management should ensure each location is very aware of the allergens in their food, and ideally, would have an allergy ingredient list for the top 8 allergens readily available at every restaurant. I’m not sure if we’d come back. It’s very expensive for a hotel that doesn’t really deserve its 4 star rating. Read less
