Had so MUCH for the whole family at an affordable price! Safety-Comfort-Relaxing-Fun! Easy to navigate around the property. Lots of room in our 2 bedroom villa! Wonderful full kitchen-Great for... The beds are vry comfortable and our accomodation area was very quite. Pool area was lovely and very quite, went to the adult pool near the entrance of the resort. Restaurant food very good and staff excellent. All the resort staff are polite and couteous. My only small negative comment is that on our first stay we were in an older accomodation block and the TVs in the bed room was very old with poor picture quality but hey who goes to wonderful FLorida to watch TV! Will be back in September thank you resort team Read less
We had booked a villa in the west village with 2 bedroom. We got a deal on bookit for $101 a night. For this price it was very good value. The checked in while it was busy went very smooth. I had... Read more read the review about the timeshare presentation. So right after check in they divert you to the person in charge of "parking". I politely declined everything in his sales pitch and we were able to leave within 5 minutes. The villa is quite large. It was a bit smelly at first and open the 2 patio doors at the beginning. After that it was OK for the 4 days we stayed there. It was also very dark inside. It's an older villa but is very well maintained and very roomy. One bedroom had a king bed and the second had 2 queen bed. It was located very close Disney. I give it a 4 stars based on value. But I would not pay a lot more money to stay there. Read less
I stayed at this resort most recently May 2-May 9. This was my third time visiting Orange Lake with my extended family (kids range in age from 10-18). I return because the facilities are clean, large... Read more and conveniently located in the Orlando area. This resort is primarily a time share property and you should know this going into the reservation process. You are reserving a condo, not a hotel room, so there is no regular maid service/garbage pick up during your stay (you can arrange for cleaning $$). PROS: Large resort, multiple pools and activities, free parking, multiple restaurants onsite, arcades, multiple golf and mini-golf courses onsite. This resort was very clean (the grounds as well as the rooms). The rooms are large, tastefully furnished with a complete kitchen. Most of the staff are very pleasant. This is a great facility for families with multiple children - for example: in a 2 bedroom condo you can technically sleep 8. WIFI included in daily resort fee. The resort is cashless, you pay for everything using your hotel key card. CONS: Time share resort (be prepared for continuous solicitation). Although they charge a resort fee of $8/day, it does not include any extras at the resort - keep in mind that mini-golf, golf, most activities, onsite childcare, pool tubes, rock climbing, slides, all food, all drinks, etc. are extra. The resort is extremely large (2,500 units) situated in 4 different villages, be prepared to drive within the resort. Since this is a cashless resort, be forewarned that the kids can use the room card to charge stuff to it (food, merchandise, arcade, etc). To summarize, we had a great time and knew what to expect from the beginning. This resort is a great deal compared to a regular hotel room. I would return again in a heartbeat. Read less
We just returned from a fabulous week in a 3 bed, 3 bath unit in the East Village. There were two families with 9 people (teenagers to adults). One bedroom had a king bed & pull out sofa, one... Read more bedroom had two queen beds and the last had one king bed, all with adjoining bathrooms. The living room and dining area were spacious and comfortable. The screened outdoor patio was a great place to relax in the evenings and our patio had a great view of the fireworks at Disney. There was a full size washer & dryer and the kitchen was well equipped with full size fridge, stove, microwave & dishwasher as well as all the dishes, glassware, silverware and pots and pans you need. There's a Publix grocery store & a Super Target right across the street from the resort. There is ample free parking for every building and free WIFI throughout the resort. There is a free shuttle that goes around the resort continuously, every 15 minutes one arrives at designated shuttle stops. In the main reservation area, they can help arrange shuttle service to the Disney parks for $17 per person round trip. Considering that it costs $17 to park at Disney, it was well worth it for the two people in our party who went to Disney to get picked up and dropped off door to door. One of the couples did the timeshare presentation to take advantage of the 7-day water-park, mini-putt and more passes plus resort dollars. Even if only two people go, you can get as many of the passes as you need. They said it would be 90-minutes and we managed to get out in about 2 hrs - but only the last 30 minutes were the high pressure sales pitch. If you want to get out, just keep answering with a deadpan "No" to everything, don't give them anything to expand on. One of the best things about the resort is River Island and our party took great advantage of the pools, lazy river, hammocks, mini putt, rock climbing wall and water slides. There are shops, restaurants and bars as well. Pool chairs were plentiful. In addition to River Island, there are 6 other pools and several golf courses. Whether or not you are going to Orlando to go to the parks or not, there is something for everyone at this resort. Read less
