When our kids were young, they loved this place. They would even ask to leave the parks to come back to play in the pool. Now this place is much bigger with tons more for kids to do. We walk... Read more everywhere here at the resort. With Publix and Target at the end of the driveway, it makes staying here much cheaper. You don't have to pack a lot because you have a full size washer and drier in the room. The full size kitchen really works out for us. The grounds are well kept. All of the pools are clean with plenty of towels available. Water skiing was fun. If you like golf, you will be coming to the right place. They did try to get me to go to a 60 min presentation, even offered me cash, I said no, and they were OK with that. We will be coming back again. Read less
My family of 2 adults and 2 children age 6 and 9 stayed at the orange lake resort for 6 nights. I honestly was terrified from all the bad feedback I read specially about the insects and dirt inside... Read more the rooms and villas....well I couldn't believe how clean it was here are the Pros and cons. Pros: -very close to disney and parks -single rooms are very comfortable and with a kitchenette and a small dinning table. -large pools, warm water, towels always available, plenty of activities for adults and children At extra cost of course but anywhere you go there will always be extra charges for Seadoo or Mini Pot or similar. - close to shopping (orlando outlet about 15min away) - restaurant surrounding the resort: Longhorn steak house which had excellent service, Applebee's, Olive Garden, Panera bread (for breakfast). - more shopping across the street: Target, Ross and TJ max. - service was excellent. The one time I called for the AC at 12:30AM they told me they will do their best to send someone quickly cause it's late at night and they are not fully staffed at that time, the guy came within 10min. -we booked 3 nights at the regular rooms in the same building as the main lobby (building 5300) excellent location, we also checked out after 3 nights and checked in again at the condos (time share), front desk was very accommodating for checking us out and in at the other unit at the same time (8:30AM) and we didn't have to wait till check in time around 3pm. -Condo or time share unit in building 8600 unit 86842, excellent view on disney fireworks, very large 2 bedrooms unit and 2 baths, 3 TV, full kitchen, washer and dryer, dinning table, plenty of room for up to 10 people. Cons: A bit pushy for the time share part, we had to say No many times at the presentation and there was always another offer to make us say yes, they even switch guys we had 3 different men who were very nice but each trying to convince us with a sale. It seemed like a good offer but being pushy like that will always make me and my husband back off from any sale. At the end when they realized we were not buying anything, the original sales person didn't even shake hands with us and it showed he was upset. :( not very professional we thought. - extremely large resort so u need a car to drive around or take resort shuttle. Overall it was a great experience, I would return for sure and bring. Families and friends. Read less
Our family stayed at Orange Lake in January. We were really excited about it as we were considering timeshare. Our first impression upon check in wasn't the greatest. It was super busy and they did... Read more not have enough staff to support the check in crowd. It took well over 45 minutes before we got to the counter. With 3 young children in tow this was an inconvenience. Second downfall was that we had requested several accommodations and although I understand a request is just that it was disappointing for a first time impression to not have any met.We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa which was very spacious. We liked having 2 bathrooms for our large family and laundry facilities in room. The villa wasn't as clean as I would have liked. There were items left from the last guests in cupboards and under the beds. The ceiling fan was broken in the living room and the electric can opener was very old and rusted. The worst part of our villa was the door leading to the covered balcony. The door had a set of long blinds and at the bottom there were sharp metal pieces , sharp like knives , no exaggeration sticking out. They weren't noticeable to us until our 2 year old son was injured by them. We immediately called the front desk to have them removed which they did. The hotel did not follow up with us about his injury and didn't seem to care at all that he got hurt. We wrote the hotel a letter about our experience and they responded to us that a representative would be in touch. No one ever got in touch with us. We will not be returning due to the lack of customer care or concern. We definitely wrote Orange Lake off as a potential to become owners. Read less

I hear about it everyday. Our rooms were clean , spacious , comfortable, like a home away form home. We did not get to do half the activities the resort offered as it was our first time to Orlando and Disney so the Parks took up most of our time, but we will certainly come back to Holiday Inn Club Vacations for many years to come !!! When we left the shopping mall opposite was almost complete, which is a fantastic convenience for mom's who are trying to get in some shopping while on vacation , Target was opened, Ross and Marshalls sign was up so it should be opened by now. The convenience of the restaurants ( Apple Bees , Sizzlers , etc) being close by was excellent also. Read less
I honestly can't understand the negative reviews. Don't believe them! I read through all these reviews for months ahead of our trip and was getting nervous due to some. We stayed in the North... Read more Village and our 2 bedroom condo was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. I have to assume some of the nitpicking negative reviewers would never be happy (you know like those people you go out to dinner with and they always have something to complain about - urghhh). This is not a 5 star hotel people - it is a condo/timeshare resort. The pools are amazing (I don't even know how many there are - we loved the North Village pool, it had a great mix for kids and adults and didn't really make it to the others except the River Island area. That seemed more suited for teenagers in my mind. During check in, we kindly told the sales people we were not interested and that was that. BTW - the phone didn't "ring off the hook" as some people say. Maybe once in the morning and once in the afternoon - is that really too much to bear??? We went to MK and AK a few days - that drive could not be easier. Take the toll road that runs along Orange Lake - it took us about 10 minutes to get the MK from there! - I will definitely return to Orange Lake. Read less
