TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
We spent 2-nights at this hotel while visiting Universal Studios. Our room was priced right, clean, comfortable & had nice amenities (wi-fi, room safe, sofa, 3-pools, several restaurants, etc). It... Read more was dog friendly, which was very important to us & it was ground level which made it very convenient for taking our dog for a walk. However, the room we had was handicap accessible which had inconvenient (for us) hand rails on the toilet & in the tub. If you want a pet friendly room, make sure it does not have the hand rails if possible. It was too late for us to switch since I hadn't noticed the rails when checking the room & we started to unpack. The other thing I didn't care for was the pay-parking; self park or valet. Self park was $17.00 per day which I think is terrible when everything else in the area costs so much - kind of a rip off. I knew this ahead so I wasn't surprised but I thought it was worth noting. The hotel restaurants were nice & convenient after a long day out but as with all hotel eateries, they were very expensive. A refrigerator would have been a nice plus too. Read less
The hotel rooms are a little dated, but the location in reference to the convention center offsets the older rooms. Price was very reasonable, staff was excellent and rooms were clean. Iride trolley... Read more stop in front which is great. For $12.00 we rode all week to the major restaurants and shopping. Food and drinks at the resort were average. Read less
Very good standard, we had a room in one of the low rise blocks near to the pools, they also have a high rise building which we didn't need to visit. The best part for us was the Bar in the main... Read more building which had a piano player/singer who sang while we sipped mojitos...very civilised. The restaurant area had a weird sort of smell about it which was quite off putting at first, I would suggest taking your meal on the outside area if you can. The buffet breakfast is good but quite expensive. The rooms were a good size and the room service was good too. They have a booking office in reception for Dysney and other attractions and also a few computers for those who need to log on. The people there offered sound advice and also had details of the complimentary bus to the parks. Also car hire A few minutes in the car takes you to the centre of International Drive where you will find all sorts of restaurants. Generally a very good hotel to enjoy the Dysney experience Read less
I know it's an oft-used (and abused) cliche', but after a 10 month break in my travels to Central Florida (the Orlando area), I stayed there two weeks ago and it was like "going home". From the warm... Read more greeting by April Willis (the Hilton Honors mgr) to the entire staff, they really know how to make travelers feel at home. I also really like the refreshed decor that mimics the look (and feel) of resorts on the West Coast. You have to try the 'Sonoma' lounge, while alittle "out there" in terms of location (it's in the main lobby), the wine list is superb. I've already scheduled by next business stay there next month and I can't wait! Read less
