We arrived at approximately 11pm on Friday evening. It was the first full day of Megacon. When we got to the desk the girl at the counter said the manager needed to speak with us. 15minutes later he... Read more comes out apologizing that the computers were slow back the office. There was a problem; there was no room that evening. He had a solution, sleep on a pullout bed in a conference room with a full bath for the evening (at no charge) and he would upgrade the next two night of our stay from a deluxe room to a king suite (at the same price) we agreed and we thought let's make the best of it. We got to the room and the table that sat 12 was right in the center and the worst sofa bed on the planet was made up (kinda it had a fitted sheet with a quilt on it, no top sheet and two pillow). We laughted said what the hell and turned on the tv. It was locked, no problem we were going to the bar to get a drink anyhow we would stop and ask. We went back to the desk and told the manager the tv was locked and he said he'd have it working in a few minutes and took off directly to fix it. I then asked a second manager about the wifi and was told because we were not officially staying in that room there would be no wifi until we got a room (annoying but we could live on cellular for 12hours). We went to the bar. Unfortunately I think the bartender had started drinking before we did. After he took our orders he had to ask us again 3 times what we wanted. He knocked over his first attempt to make a perfect makers Manhattan. Then he used what was left in his stirring cup to make a second. He opened the tonic and it blew up for my partners Bombay and tonic. Then we had to shout at him to use Bombay not Tangeria. The tonic half spilled into the ice bin, but he didn't seem worried. He delivered my drink and after a sip of the slightly amber drink I sent it back and told him the portions to poor. The second one was passable. We retuned to the room to find the tv working. We were not told not to turn it off or it would lock, lesson learned. We attempted to sleep but the bars of the pullout sofa denting my kidney and the carts of what sounded like dishes going past all evening denided us any meaningful rest. We were a bit over trying to make the best of things by morning when we handed in out keys and were told to leave our bags with the bell hop. The bell hop (Bobby) took our bags and with a sincer apology and level of empathy that had not yet been shown buy staff said he will make sure nothing else goes wrong. We went off to our convention and returned about 3:30. We were told our suite was ready and when we went to retrieve our bags Bobby informed us that when he found our room was ready he took them up so we wouldn't have to. The suite was perfect. It was clean and airy. The wifi worked as did the tv. The rest of our stay went off without a hitch. We will be back Read less

We stayed here for 3 weeks from 24th September - 13th October 2014. We checked in quite late, around 1am after a 10 hour flight, staff were lovely and gave us extra cookies which are the most... Read more delicious cookies we've had! We bought a pack a day! Bargains too and most of the time, we got them free. The room we got was one of the bungalow type rooms, right next to one of the pools, was extremely clean and a big room with we got upgraded to room with a kitchen when lady noticed how long we were staying. Only downside was that the bathroom only had a shower but no other complaints. Make sure to visit all the pools as they all have something different. Loved this hotel and would definitely stay again. I stayed here with my wife and daughter last week. I really enjoyed the hotel very much and would stay there again. My room was very big although the bathroom was a bit small. My only gripes were... Read more that it was impossible to get a chair at the pool. It seems that people put their towels on the chairs and leave for the day.there were more chairs than people at the pool yet every chair had towels on them. This happened both days we went to the pool. My other complaint is that the hotel charges 17 dollars a day for self parking, I realize that this is becoming the norm for Orlando but if you're going to charge that much at least provide your guests with parking. Both nights I had to park very far away from my room and this was after searching for a spot for 15 minutes. Nice hotel, great price, friendly staff..... I would definitely return again. Read less
