Read more I visited Mauritius for the first time and it is exactly as the pictures in the travel Magazines..... breathtakingly beautiful. The Coin de Mire Hotel is unique and different, and I was so delighted by the style and beauty, I was speechless. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and we stayed in a Deluxe room. It looked exactly like the picture that was sent to us prior to our travel. It was very well maintained. Very clean and neat. We did experience some issues with hot water, but they fixed it in no time. This hotel allows you to experience a freedom that cannot be explained. I just loved the layout and the friendliness of the staff, and I'd like to give a special thanks to Jovany.... he was an amazing host. He made us feel absolutely at home and went the very extra mile to help us settle in and feel comfortable "THANK YOU JOVANY". Also thank you to the Manager and staff for arranging a special anniversary celebration for us, "the cake was delicious:)". We had entertainment every night and we danced the night away each evening (created such a wonderful holiday mood). The only thing that wasn't to my satisfaction (but that's just me because I'm a fussy eater) is the food. There was a good variety, but I felt there was not enough healthy options, so I found it very difficult to satisfy my palette. The food is prepared and displayed very well, but its very rich (which I couldn't digest). Loved Coin de Mire Attitude. Note: drinks are very expensive, we paid around R30 (90 rupees) for 1 litre of water.... Read less

I stayed there with my boyfriend from 7 to 18 of September 2013 and we really enjoyed that. We had a room just in front of the bar and pool so was very convenient. The staff is great, everybody is... Read more smiling which creates good vibes. Food was delicious, breakfast and dinner buffet with different theme every evening ( Indian, Chinese, Mauritius) plus plenty of fresh salads so everybody could find something that fit their tastes. The only disadvantage is the road that separates the hotel from the beach.. you can hear the cars when chilling at the pool. The beach is very tiny but the view can compensate that. Overall, great value for price. Read less
I recently stayed at Coin de Mire in Mauritius with my wife after travelling in Zambia and South Africa to relax for a few days before returning home. We opted for the all inclusive package and I... Read more would recommend this option. Breakfasts were really good, lunches did not always suit my palate but there were choices, dinner gave a good variety of meals with something for everyone and the menu changed daily. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with a lovely beach but it is not ideal for swimming although a short trip on the local bus to Perrybere is an option. While at the hotel we enjoyed a trip on the glass bottomed boat free of charge, we paid to spend the day on the hotel's yacht La Lutine which was very relaxing with the best snorkelling you can imagine over a coral reef, drinks were regularly supplied by the crew and they cooked us a wonderful barbecue of chicken and fish with plenty of rice, salads and vegetables all very well cooked a real chill out day. While at the hotel I booked a deep sea fishing trip which was really enjoyable and I caught five tuna. overall a very enjoyable experience. Read less
