TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
We booked 2 standard twin rooms as a family traveling with Adult children. We were disappointed not to get an upgrade to deluxe room as the trip was to celebrate our silver wedding and my son's... Read more graduation from 5 years of university. We were however given 2 standard family room which were larger. The standard room are adequate but basic. The food is very good and made fresh each day. There are themes to the meals and as a result sometimes it can be difficult to find foods to suit the full family tastes. The staff are excellent, and quickly recognise you at the bar and dinner area. The pools were lovely and we had no trouble getting Sun beds. The beach is beautiful and we also had no trouble getting kayaks or boat trips. We did at trip on the hotel catamaran and it was a lovely day. It's not easy to find places outside the hotel to eat so consider all inclusive unless you plan lots of day trips. The thing which could improve my rating would be soft more absorbent towels. Our towels were well used, frayed around the edges and marked from use. The toilet paper was also poor quality and seemed a false economy. The internet reception was very poor and could only link at reception, however this improved the day before we left and it became available by the pool, which was a big deal for my family. All in a good hotel, and I booked standard rooms but did expect a little more for the money we paid. Read less
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for three weeks during July/August. The first thing we would like to mention are the staff as they are an absolute credit to the hotel. They are thoroughly... Read more professional and friendly in equal measures, nothing was too much trouble and every request was met with a smile and dealt with speedily. Ashley, Manuella, Manjoo and Richard deserve a special "Thank You" but this can be extended to every other member of the fantastic team. We were very happy to be upgraded to a superior room which was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Maids were in attendance every day and sheeting changed on a regular basis as were towels which were changed every day. Breakfast in the restaurant was more than enough to set you up for the day with eggs cooked to order, juices, croissants, fruit and all ingredients for a continental. Tea and coffee were in abundant supply. Evening meal was always a buffet and quite often had a theme to the evening. There was a fairly large selection on offer. There were occasions when certain popular items would run out and it could sometimes be a while before they were replenished. It would be a good idea if there was someone monitoring supply and demand to ensure that this doesn't happen as it can be quite frustrating standing there with half a plate of food going cold while you wait for the rice to come out! We made use of the glass bottom boat, kayak and pedelos which were all free and always available. As mentioned by others the beach is across a road and the security guard will always escort you over but it's not always necessary as traffic can be infrequent. There are two pools which we didn't use but they were clean and well used by other guests. My wife used the Spa and said that the treatment was excellent. There is a bus service right outside the hotel which is very frequent and cheap to use and you get a white knuckle ride thrown in for free! All in all this an excellent hotel in a great location with fantastic staff. We will be back in two years time! Rosy and Chris Read less

I would like to make particular mention of ashley, who was the best receptionist I've met so far. He always had a friendly smile for me and my family. The rooms (speaking of the deluxe rooms here) were spacious und clean, my compliments to the maids. Little downside: A rather noisy road separates the hotel from the Beach. Overall I can fully recommend this place to everyone looking for a pleasant stay on mauritius. Read less
