There are absolutely no words available to adequately explain this piece of paradise. My family and I enjoyed the splendor of Le Touessrok this October and we are all involved in the hotel and... Read more hospitality game so to credit an establishment with such high praise does not happen. The rooms are big, beautiful and clean and open up onto your own patch of white soft beach and a view of beauty. You have to pinch yourself to convince yourself that you are actually there and not dreaming. The service on the beach, around the pools, on the pvt island and in the restaurants is immediate and personal. The food served at Safran is magnificent, the best Indian food we have ever tasted. The breakfast buffet and dinner was excellent. (okay let me bring you back to reality a little by telling you to give Barlens a miss). The band at Sega Bar is so talented and Navin the manager is outstanding and his guest approach exceptional, he made the experience memorable by making my family feel as if we were the only guests. My advice to you: Go and enjoy :) Read less
I was disappointed to check in at the hotel with the family for 2 nights and we were informed that the rooms allotted will be remote from each other. We had reserved one month before and we are... Read more now being told that these were the ONLY two rooms available. Pure lie as the hotel is 80% full. Is this Touessrok? To make it worse, Mr Shyam Seegoolam , Front Office Manager told me bluntly that we had to inform that we wanted to be next to our children! More interesting of all, the room reserved for me and my husband had TWO single beds and he told us that we had to inform that as a couple we had to request for a king size bed! There is a definitely a reservation problem here as he told us that we have to accept whatever is given to us. Cannot recognise this award winning hotel. Thanks Shyam seegoolam for spoiling our holidays? We were really happy to note that Ram was trying to find a solution with a smile, courtesy and politeness. Mr Sunil Beerbul, Executive Assistant Manager ( Rooms) intervened like a real gentleman and proposed to find a constructive solution. To our delight, we were sent to a SENIOR suite. What a happy ending! Room 245- Read less

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at La Touessrok. We had seven nights at the Sugar Beach hotel on the west of the island and they offer guests a two night stay at La Touessrok as part of... Read more your stay. We opted for this as we had booked to play golf at ile aux cerfs anyway and it is over an hours drive from Sugar Beach. La Touessrok is a completely relaxing and utterly idyllic place to stay. Greeted with an ice cold towel to refresh you and mango sorbet this is an excellent welcome. The staff are excellent nothing is too much trouble and there is never a problem. The grounds and our room (115) were absolutely perfect and spotlessly clean. We had a fantastic room overlooking the sea on coral beach. We could actually sit in our bath with a sea view!! When we left Sugar Beach they did say they would make sure we had a good room and they excelled themselves! Safran (Indian restaurant) was superb possibly the best Indian food we have eaten. The buffet breakfast and dinner was also excellent. Fresh fruit smoothies at breakfast are delicious and there is plenty of hot food as I read many reviews that said there wasn't although I think the Sugar Beach breakfast was slightly better as it had even more choice! We did however feel the drinks here were not as good value as at Sugar Beach, you could not even taste the gin in the G&T and the same with the rum cocktails we had the following day, it may as well have been non-alcoholic. The quiet pool was heavenly we enjoyed the couples lounger and the beaches are quiet and beautiful. The hotel has two private islands for hotel guests with a jetty and short 10 min' boat ride to get to them. A highlight of our trip was playing golf here at ile aux cerfs island it was AMAZING and I am only really a beginner as I do not play as often as my hubbie. We never had anyone playing behind or in front of us at any point so there was no added pressure! The views are spectacular, golf course highly challenging and the golf club restaurant also had very nice food. Golf here definitely not to be missed, you would be crazy!!! We also visited llot mangenie island to swim/sunbath, you must go even if just for a romantic lunch on the beach with the most idyllic view! This island is truly Paradise on earth. We would love to go back and we both highly recommend staying at La Touessrok and thank you to the amazing hard working team at La Touressrok for making our stay absolutely perfect. Read less
