Read more , and the POOL team, OSO who really rocks ! and his team PAULA CEASER, were the stars around that pool all day, and on hand with drinks was the super happy ROGER DIAZ, and with our son LIAM, in the kids club, KIKA , KAREM and ANDREA were brilliant ! front desk with THIAGO, and all his help meant this was the best holiday and my wifes 40th treat was made better by the superb service and food and entertainment provided by the brilliant hard rock staff. we will be back in 2016 !! had a 10 day holiday. 7 days at hard rock, 3 days at grand caribe (hard rock was sold out for the remaining 3 days of our trip). so, had a good reference point to compare. hard rock was not as... Read more "grand" as I thought it would be, based on the photos and video reviews. but it's a really nice. modern and clean. and it's very vibrant, with a lot of energy. staff and service is great. Italian and Brazilian steakhouse was very good. the Japanese not so good (maybe because we're from Vancouver?). lots of available food;by the bar, the pool. and the pizza was really good too! they have a main theatre, with show every night. not high level productions, but I found them entertaining. one main beef, elevators sucked. there are 4 elevators, and they all worked, but it seemed like we were spending a lot of time waiting for them. they weren't very "smart". generally, place had good high energy/vibe, good food, great service. We just returned from the Hard Rock Cancun. Our party of 4 adults had a wonderful trip. The staff at this resort are the most friendly and accommodating that I have encountered. Every one of them... Read more had a smile on their face and wanted to do everything possible to make our stay a wonderful experience. For example, one day there was a rain shower and we were waiting for it to stop so we could go to the snack bar. One of the employees stopped and walked us over to the snack bar holding a towel over our heads! Now where else would that happen? The shows were much better then we have seen at other all-inclusive resorts and we have been traveling to all-inclusive several times a year. The shows were about the same quality as cruise ship entertainment. One of the entertainment staff (Caesar) is just as entertaining as the shows and very enthusiastic about his work. The theater is outside and part of the roof cover is missing. This needs to be fixed because when it rains it gets on the stage and on some of the seats. It is dangerous because it becomes slippery. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. The weather was great 80-85 F. If it rained, it was only for 10 minutes then cleared. The ocean water in Cancun is usually pretty rough, similar to the Mid-Atlantic, but we enjoy that. There is a lifeguard on duty. The one thing lacking is that there are no Palapas beach huts at this resort. We love the sun, but like to view the sun by sitting under the Palapas. When it was not windy the beach staff would put up umbrellas, but that is a lot more work than having Palapas and not as good. When it is windy there is almost no shade available at the pool or beach area. The food was very good at all of the restaurants. Much better than most all-inclusive. We would not recommend this hotel for elderly people because it is very loud at the pool beach area and there are steps that can not be avoided without walking pretty far to the elevator or ramp.
