We arrived in a small group, this is our 3rd visit to the resort. As soon as you step off the bus you are treated like royalty. I didn't think the resort could get any better, all of the renovations... Read more are absolutely beautiful. On this trip there was a few petty things that bothered us and I think its because we have high expectations due to the service on our previous visits. However overall our trip was amazing and i am looking forward to returning in the future. The sunrise pool area is where we situated ourselves most days, we all loved the lively noisy atmosphere and the little barbecue house kept us topped up with fresh meat. The music was pumping all day. We had an amazing experience at the turtle release, this event is not to be missed the staff were very informative and I got to release a baby turtle that had hatched that morning. It was really overwhelming. Room service, The food from room service was always great and hot on arrival. El Manglar Fresh buffet service with a great selection, always at least 4 options of meat or fish available for them to cook fresh for you. Great service from the waiters here always willing to take your plate. Will go the extra mile especially Humberto and his partner. Arrecifes One of my favourites, meats are cooked to perfection large selection of salads and deserts, we visited here twice and both times had at least 6 options of meats available. Palapa Delfines and Palapa Pelicanos Had lunch here on a couple of occasions, great service fresh steak was amazing. The pub Bar & live music, great service waitress always kept our drinks flowing, great atmosphere the band was on for two hours and in that they had a half hour break just when the atmosphere got going. Los Tacos Fab quiet pool, had amazing mixed meat tacos. El Caribeno Very quiet when we visited, service was great had a fabulous three course meal the steak was cooked to perfection. Top class service the waitress was very friend and took the time to speak to us. Skybar Busy every night great atmosphere and the waitresses worked very hard to keep everyone happy. La Gondola Had an amazing meal and the waiter made crepes at our table. We also had breakfast here on a couple of occasions we ate in a group of 6 and sometimes you wanted a bit of space to have your breakfast but the waiters kept taking out plates away while people were still eating. Momo We ate here on a couple of occasions with no fault one of my favs, great food, service and atmosphere. Bugambilias We had breakfast here most mornings. There was never any English breakfast tea on the second week of our stay and the water in the tea was look warm. Large selection of food available for all meal times. The cook that makes the omelette is always very happy and accommodating, he makes omelettes to perfection. Palapa Barracuda (STEAK HOUSE) Fab place to eat great selection, we had lunch here on a number of occasions, the manager is very accommodating, on my mother in laws birthday he organised for a birthday cake to come at lunchtime and all the staff sang happy birthday. Because of the occasion the service was even better than it had been all of the staff made a fuss and made sure we were well looked after. Swing bar The bar tenders at the swing bar have great banter with the guest they really do a great job. La Trattoria What can I say my favourite place, outstanding service we celebrated family a silver wedding here, the food was to die for by the time we got to our main course i was stuffed, great selection of breads cheese an olives, the soup was great. Entertainment staff All amazing Mario and the new girl made us feel very welcome, they do their best to get the crowd to participate. The gyms The gyms are great they have everything you need for a regular gym goer. It is missing resistance TRX ropes but that just my preference. The spa at the golf course. I had a pedicure and holistic massage, wow what can i say from start to finish this experience was out of this world, treated like a queen. All of the staff were so helpful. It was such a peaceful and tranquil place where they have everything you need. It's defiantly a place not to be missed. My petty grumps :( which i do feel was because I have been spoiled on my previous visits however i think will be helpful for the resort to know. When we arrived we were given two single beds and when the bell boy called reception we were told that there was no rooms available and that we would have to wait until morning. This happened to to others in our group as well. We did get moved the next day to the same building on the ground floor which we had to get sprayed every day for mosquitoes because of all the rain on the previous weeks. This put a dampener on my time in the room as I was then constantly mosquito searching. I knew that there wasn't another room available because my mother in law and father in law were totally bitten from head to foot with mosquito bites, we went to the reception at the sunrise on a number of occasions however they were adamant that they couldn't move them to another room due to being full. The reception lady was very rude. Eventually on day 8 they did after numerous visit to the pharmacy and a trip to the doctor we demanding another room because of my father in laws health condition. They did say they had been spraying the room 3 times per day. This totally ruined their holiday as they were so uncomfortable. The was my first time in a ground floor room and it was very busy with people and traffic. Our room go cleaned after 3pm most days which was annoying as that's when we were getting ready or relaxing. At breakfast the lack of English breakfast tea? The luke warm water and the waiters cleaning your table and leaning over people still eating. The vacation planner at the sunrise wasn't interested because we didn't want to book any tips out with the resort. I wish I took his name he sat on your left at the back of the room. He couldn't wait get us out of the room quick enough. He was rude, he made a mistake that he booked my spa on someone else room. I wanted a deluxe pedi and got a normal and he gave me no options of what massage i could get. I had to then go back to say that he booked it on to the wrong room. The resort credit information sheet still shows that you can use your credits to swim with the dolphins at wet and wild and we were told we could no longer do this, Also i wanted to upgrade my room with the credits however again was told that you could no longer do this. We hardly used any credits on this trip and we wanted a relaxing holiday, we did however use it to upgrade our wine. The Gym could do with being a little cooler, the staff tried to get the air conditioning on fuller but it was set and couldn't be moved. It would just make it a little pleasant with trying to burn off some of the great food consumed. Don't let this put you off the resort is out of this world with 1st class service. Read less

This was a fun vacation and we received some resort credit, which was nice. I was excited for the food, because I read how many restaurants they had, but none of them were great, just good. We were... Read more disappointed with the food choices, but did like the all inclusive aspect and room service. We absolutely LOVED the romantic dinner, I highly recommend it. The soup was the best thing I ever had, the drinks were amazing, and the atmosphere was lovely. The beach was another downside, it is not clear blue and has a lot of seaweed piled up on the beach. The pools were nice and the swim-up bars were good to have. The swing bar was popular, so difficult finding seats all the time. My favorite bar was the Sky Bar, very interesting cocktails and shots! The hotel room was on the first floor and had a view of their service road, I had REALLY been wanting a more romantic view, but that wasn't possible. The room was always clean with fresh towels. Our stuff was never touched and they do have a safe in room. The shower was great, rain style head with the bench in it. The tub was huge and nice looking. Everyone was so curtious and so friendly, nobody ever expected tips (we didn't really give them out, either). There was always entertainment going on at night and in the pools during the day. The night shows were awesome, MJ impersonator, acrobats/dancers, and comedians. There is a water park you can go to, by boat, and use resort credit with. We did that and it was fun, small, but still fun. Snorkeling was also amazing, best part of the trip. They take you to another resort to do that. If I were to go to Mexico again, I would love a place that has more of the culture adapted into it, but this was a not so bad place if it's your first time going on a big trip. Read less

Stayed at the resort for 5 days on a conference, so I'm not here through choice, so perhaps I have a different view on the place. If I did, and I was coming to Mexico then I'd want to stay... Read more somewhere that offers something that you could describe as Mexican, it's a bit like going to Kavos and saying you've been to Greece. Rooms and service were fine. There's a choice of restaurants that serve up buffet food, which after 15 meals gets repetitive. The pool complex is big and clean, didn't see any lifeguards on duty, so it was with kids you need to keep an eye open. If you are into all inclusive drink-eat as much as you want then this might be somewhere to consider. Read less
