Recently refurbished, it really is a palace, and a spectacular one at that. Lying on Cancun’s tranquil south shore, nestled between a long, white sand beach and 55 acres of tropical foliage. A 27-hole Jack Nicklaus signature golf course is available for a memorable round of golf. Rooms are very elegant, in fact all have double Jacuzzi baths! You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to your dining options with 13 restaurants to choose from. There are incredible floor shows every evening, with the disco picking up the beat until the early hours.

Read more we regularly holiday in florida on a tight budget using various deals in flights accommodations etc to afford but after a stressful year of family illness my husband surprised me by booking 12 days at MP which for us is a very luxury holiday (booked with travelbag) I reviewed trip advisor comments and was certain we had made the right choice it was everything and beyond our expectations and truly lived up to that the food and service is outstanding and we never got fed up with the variety of events/shows excursions to choose from don,t know why people moan about the sea its not a hidden fact - it is what it is and they do the best to control the seaweed - besides with that many pools, and 20 mins to sun or beach palace which have the turquoise sea its no hassle at all - personally I,d stay at MP any day likewise moaning about distances between lobbys - big deal you need to do some walking to burn the calories you are consuming in food and drink resort credits are fantastic - I paid 48.83 dollar for a spa afternoon using the facilities and then my treatments 2hrs 20 minutes where could you go for that - likewise day trip to isle of mujeres was only around 28.69 dollars for both of us with all drinks and food provides you could even swim with a manatee - we attended the presentation , yes it was 3 hrs of our time(they tell you that up front) and you need to go with a mind that says what ever is offered we are going to decline if its not for us, be clear and direct ie you,ve had your contracted 3 hrs we personally said we have golf booked and they signed us off a day trip for xelha for both worth about £100 pound each again all you can eat and drink, snorkelling ,zipwire, lazy river etc dolphin experience was incredible and again on resort credit where can you go in the world for 41.10 dollars for both of us which we did at mp with only 8 of us in our group (noticed at other places there were at least 12 in the group) we didn,t spend all our credits because other items such wine upgrade wasn,t required (they serve a lovely Chilean merlot and cabinet in most restaurants you identify which wine you like and request it) you could have done other trips, chocolate and wine tasting, special meals etc all on resort credit and its 16% of the cost - reading between the lines I believe that you didn,t pay the tax before so people going back to mp are aggrieved - to me its quite clear 16% of the cost take it or leave it its a no brainer we used a company called cancun shuttle (airport transfer) how good were they pick up was smooth - drop off was taken out of our hands we and our luggage were taken direct to check in so much so we hardly had time to change clothing and check last minute things - we paid £30 pounds for 2 including return it was excellent . I cannot recommend mp enough to people and as we left the resort my husband and I agreed that we would return, its won,t take 20 years and florida may have to take a back seat for a while - enjoy all you people due to go, sept was very quiet so again picking your time is key as in most places - thank you so much mp Read less

Read more stayed at a Sandals resort in St. Lucia and think that this resort is cleaner, newer, and the employees are much more grateful and energetic. We had the time of our lives. The rooms were cleaned everyday when we left the tag outside the door. The weather was perfect while we were here. Our favorite place to drink was the LOUNGE BAR. Which is located on the beach below the pool. The bar was always empty and the bartenders Jorge P. And Melchor, were so friendly and helpful. They made awesome drinks and were interested in having a conversation with us. We felt so welcomed by both of them. The beach here isn't very nice but we spent several days at Beach Palace, which is a must Do. The water there is a amazing. All in all this place is top notch and Honestly my wife and I had a better experience here than on our honeymoon in St Lucia at Sandals La Toc. Read less

Read more , we were really impressed by how large & spacious it was. From arriving at the hotel to the moment we left, the service we received was first class. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. We tried a number of the restaurants, mostly in Sunrise, and found the food quality excellent. It helps when you are staying all inclusive. Went back to Momo as the food was great. Throughout our stay, we felt really at home. The staff in the restaurants, pool bar etc, were brilliant. Staying all inclusive for us was the best choice as the food variety and quality was excellent. Nightly entertainment. Sunrise has its own night club. All I can say that the management of Moon Palace should be very proud of all their staff. We will look to return & would expect the very high standards to be maintained. You really must consider the resort if you are visiting Cancun. Another thing, they are only 15 minutes from the airport with free transport. Not bad in my books.. Well done all at Moon Palace. Me and my hubby got married at the Moon Palace in May 2014. It was the best day ever wedding coordinator was very attentive to our needs as we did not have any guests. Due to not having any guest... Read more we were extremely conscious of wanting our video and photos being prefect so they could be shown at our reception back in the UK on our return and so we selected a 40min video shoot and photos to be put on disc and a small album costing just over £600.00, with a promise that these would arrive in plenty of time for our reception on the 24/05/14 2 weeks after we arrive back in the UK. On our arrival back we emailed the photographer (Ocean Photo Studios) based in the hotel lobby area as they had requested as reminder to send our package. After a week of nothing we again emailed them when they stated it had been sent and would arrive but yet nothing, we contacted both the hotel ,wedding coordinator and our travel agent (Tropical skies) whom of whom were very unhelpful to the situation.. On the day of our reception when the post man had been and gone I was so upset and angry that we had paid so much money just so our family and friends could also enjoy our day. We then received an email with proofs of our pictures but were unable to download or copy to a disc, and so our reception had not been what we had planned and paid for thanks to all those involved the moon Palace,wedding coordinator and of course the photo studio. 2weeks later after our wedding reception what should arrive but our package containing video disc,photo disc and 2x albums. The video did not have on the message I had recorded for my hubby to be and last all of 10 minutes and the photos they said would be photo shopped were not all in all we had wasted £600 and received as compensation an extra album of photos. I wish we had done what another couple had done and that was to bring in photographer from outside and paid there entry into the complex it would have been cheaper and we would have flown home with our package. So to all you lovely couples looking to book your wedding at the Moon Palace please do so with caution as when things go wrong you are on your own especially if you book with the same travel company as us. Read more huge but you soon get to know where everything is. We stayed mainly around the nizuc pool area through the day as was better for the children, age 8 & 15, with the slide area, music and activities but there is lots of quiet areas if you prefer. The flo rider was a big hit with my 8year old. All of the resort is immaculate and the rooms are cleaned every day to a high standard. Our family room included 2 double beds and jacuzzi bath, large bathroom, mini bar/ fridge, iron and board, hair dryer, straighteners, toiletries, robes and slippers. We tried nearly all the restaurants and all were of a very high standard with amazing food, most a la carte on an evening, the breakfasts were fantastic with such a range of foods to suit everyone. We used some of the resort credit ($1500 for 1week) on swimming with the dolphins and spa treatments, you do have to pay the 16% tax but it's worth it as saves you so much. We visited xcaret while we were there which was a great day out and also took the resort bus to their sister hotel beach palace which is in the hotel zone cancun, to do a little shopping. The staff at moon palace were so nice and friendly and couldn't do enough for you, everything about moon palace is amazing and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone, wish I was still there:) Read less
