My husband and I have been traveling to Palace Resorts for several years. However, the last few years, Moon Grand keeps pulling us back. This year, our visit was exceptional. We recently took up... Read more golf and decided to take some lessons from Jose Corona, the Golf Pro. What a treat! He not only taught us little "tricks" he's learned over his career, but also some simple exercises for strength and to prevent injuries. Jose Corona is a very knowledgeable instructor and is able to translate his skills in striking a golf ball in different situations, making it look simple and direct. He has people skills to make his sessions not only formative, but fun as well. During of one of the two instructional/classes we had with Jose, there were 10 "students" in attendance. It amazed us that he was able to keep track of everyone's progress and make appropriate suggestions to improve their strokes. Jose's demonstrations to show and exhibit what can be done with a golf club were very impressive. It makes us want to take additional classes in our future stays at Moon Palace. My husband has a retail business in Chicago, IL and considers an employee such as Jose is a definite asset for any business's success that involves direct contact with people from all walks of life. Because of Moon Palace's wonderful Golf Facility and personnel on this last visit, we have already booked our next vacation at Moon Grand. We hope to continue to enjoy Palaces's golf courses and instructional capabilities, especially Jose! Read less

We were told by our travel agent that we could use our $1500 credit towards room upgrades. When we arrived at the resort we were told we cannot do that and the resort would not honour that, even... Read more though I furnished the email which was sent to me from our travel agent. This made our trip very difficult given that we are traveling with an infant child. Not a fair resort at all. If we known we could not use our credit for room upgrades, we would have planned accordingly Read less

We have been to the moon palace resort twice and are looking to going back again. This resort has everything you need. It's far enough from cancun to be quiet but near enough for a trip. The palace... Read more has a complimentary bus that goes to and from the other palaces in cancun. You can use your all inclusive band in those hotels as well. The rooms are exceptional. Large, comfy with your own jacuzzi. There is a well stocked mini bar and optics with spirit if you choose. The meals at the moon palace are first class. There is so many restaurants to choose from. You have the sunrise and moon grand that are just a walk away with lots of restaurants that have good menus. Also an excellent restaurant in the golf course. You can walk there but there is a golf buggy that takes you if you feel lazy! They have a good spa and an excellent gym. There is 24 hour food if you want but with so many lovely restaurants you are spoilt for choice. The staff are lovely and attentive. They remember your drinks and bring to the table as soon as you sit. The beach is nice and clean. You do get sea weed wash up. But this is cleared away. The grounds are well kept and it's a pleasure to walk round the resort. Read less

The variety of restaurants and things to do make this our choice resort. My son lives at the Flowrider and beach activities. This place is amazing. I read a lot of negative reviews before I went and found they were all a load of rubbish! I stayed in the sunrise section of the hotel which provides excellent facilities for... Read more all the family. Lovely restaurants, all with lovely English speaking staff and a very diverse and well equipped gym with a large range of free weights and cardio equipment. The only lacking thing is the water sports. I am a RYA Dinghy Instructor from the UK and didn't choose this holiday for it's watersports but was pleasantly surprised! They have a two types of Catamarans, windsurfers and kayaks. The water sports manager, Pablo is amazing he honestly is! kind, friendly and really knows his stuff! The equipment is well looked after by him and his staff but is poorly treated by guests. This is a shame as the potential is massive in this little watersports centre which is included in your all-inclusive payment. The staff do their best with the equipment they have but could do with some more funding from the hotel owners by the looks of it! In the second week of my stay I advised Pablo that it was unsafe from a professional point of view to use the bigger of the two catamarans, a Hobie 16. This was because the mast had excessive wear and had virtually snapped in half! More funding is needed for the watersports as I've said but the rest of the hotel is excellent! Another staff member that really stood out was Lucia who was working in the Mexican restaurant called the Bougainvillea. She is an excellent employee who really takes the time to provide the guests with the best service. Just little things like regularly checking drinks and asking if there's anything we needed! All In all this hotel is amazing and I couldn't recommend it any more. The rooms are incredible with an Xbox, flat screen and a fully stocked bar and fridge which are topped up daily! I will definitely visit this hotel In future! Read less
