Recently refurbished, it really is a palace, and a spectacular one at that. Lying on Cancun’s tranquil south shore, nestled between a long, white sand beach and 55 acres of tropical foliage. A 27-hole Jack Nicklaus signature golf course is available for a memorable round of golf. Rooms are very elegant, in fact all have double Jacuzzi baths! You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to your dining options with 13 restaurants to choose from. There are incredible floor shows every evening, with the disco picking up the beat until the early hours.

Room information

2,425 rooms on 3 floors in several buildings with 8 lifts. All with private balcony/terrace, air-conditioning, flatscreen satellite TV, wireless Internet connection, direct-dial telephone, coffee maker, 24-hour room service, mini-fridge with soft drinks, bottle of wine, spirits optic, water and beer (which is stocked alternate days), safety deposit box, Jacuzzi, bathrobes and slippers, turn-down service, hairdryer and straightener. Non-smoking rooms on request. Deluxe Rooms have a garden view, 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Family Rooms are located in the sunrise section and consist of 2 bedrooms (one with 1 king-size bed, the other with 2 double beds), Xbox 360®/DVD player with DVD’s and games available on request, family in-room amenities including kids' room service menu and bathroom products. Read more well!). Despite this, the rest of our holiday was fantastic. The rooms were immaculate and had everything we required and more. We used our credits to swim with Dolphins, play golf, visit the Spa and have a romantic meal on the beach. There is so much to do here you will never be bored. The food was also fantastic and the service in particular was amazing. We always asked to be served by Victor Manuel Martin when eating in the Gondola and Baracuda restaurants as his service was second to none. I would highly recommend this resort and we cannot wait to return!! Read less

I went to the Moon Palace for my sis in law's wedding. In short let's start with the positives: the hotel sure is humongous, super clean and luxurious, divided into three properties with very diverse... Read more all inclusive restaurants. All staff is super friendly and you feel like you are royalty by the way you are treated/served. The negatives: the hotel/property is so big that you'll be doing a great amount of walking or waiting for the lobby to lobby bus or in-property golf carts shuttles to move around the property and or to your desired activities. While the service is pretty fast, it is not my cup of tea to sit and wait 10 to 20 minutes for transportation within the same property I am staying at. Second, when you say Cancun if you never been you will think the beaches everywhere are top notch... well, the one in this particular area sucks, it's full of seaweed. Because they work hard to 'set you up' for a timeshare meeting the very next day after you arrive, the process can take up to an hour or more, after being in two planes and arriving exhausted the only thing you are hoping to do is rest; and I do mean they will 'set you up' for the timeshare meeting because unless you are familiar with what they intend to offer, they paint it as if it is an extended property tour. Last but not least the so called 'Resort Credits' are a gimmick. The items for which you can use the credits are vastly overpriced and out of the whole list of more than 25-30 if I recall, only three proved to be somewhat worth it or a good value (the spa, the water park and the dolphin swim- beware though the dolphin swim setup is that your family can't use their camera to take pics which it's ok as they got to make money but then a single pic from the shop is $45 and the CD with all pics is $70, hardly worth it for a .99cents cd and copy and paste from their cpu to the CD). Last but not least if you want to do any activity outside of the property (say going to the Mayan ruins) it will be a one day travel due to the distance from the hotel, thus you rarely are able to split the day for two things to visit/do which is kind of hard if you are not taking a 10 day vacation. In closing the whole experience was simply average for the money I invested into this trip, I had a lot more fun in cruises or with my two previous all inclusive experiences here back in the states. Read more them. Chinese was the worst of all and the Manager gave us an attitude when mentioned that we waited 1 hour and 30 minutes and didn't get service until we had to stop one of the waiters. The food was cold and the Entrees were served without rice. Went for my 40th Birthday! Couldnt get a reservation at the Italian in the golf course side. We ate at the Carribean on Moon Grand side. If anyone should get praised it is JORGE DIAZ AND THE WAITER ROBERTO and the CHEF in the carribean restaurant.. They totally made my birthday a very special one. They went out of their way 2 nights in a row. First they special ordered the fish that we had few years back. We had a special menu just for us. Since we couldn't get into any other restaurant Jorge made special arrangments for my birthday where we had the most exclusive service. A very special THANK YOU to you Jorge and Roberto. Read less

Read more we are already planning our return next year. Our children had a blast and already miss being there. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and if you were located far from the lobby they have a shuttle to pick you up and take you to there. Jorge, the Sunrise lounge singer entertained us so much that we looked forward to his nightly show. We met people there from all over the world and they loved it as much as we did. You cannot miss this spectacular resort, its 5 ++++ for our family. Read less
