TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
If you are having a wedding here ask alot of questions. We purchased the most expensive wedding package. All the pics they show are for the most expensive wedding plus all the extras they provide. Be... Read more sure and ask for a pic of what you are getting. Bringing 22 people here for a wedding meant nothing to this resort. They definetly will not go out of their way to accomodate you. If you have a lot of extra money to throw around then you will get excellent service. If you are thinking your daughter will feel like it was a special day for her, think again. The hotels response has been we are sorry. Read less
I recently spent a long weekend at the Now Sapphire and signed up for the preferred club. The only complaint I have is the seaweed on the beach and in the water. The quantity seemed to vary from... Read more time to time, and there was a tractor that went up and down the beach all day trying to clean it up, but it was always there. At times there was a border of seaweed on the beach by the water that was a couple of feet wide and several inches deep. The hotel itself (and the white sand beach except for the seaweed) were wonderful. We loved the food and service at the buffet. The service in the French restaurant, Paramour, was excellent. The presentation of the food at Cibu (my salmon entrée) was unique. The food was very good everywhere we ate. Our last day we had to leave early for the airport before the restaurants opened, but we had free room service delivered to us and that worked well. The preferred pool was uncrowded and always had rafts available to use. I especially liked the main pool. It was beautiful and huge. Even with a lot of people there it wasn't crowded. I would recommend the preferred option. We had free Wi-Fi and free phone calls to the US. We also could eat breakfast at the Cibu buffet and didn't have to wait in line for the other buffet. We could reserve lounges at the beach or pool each day. I saw varying prices for the preferred option but ours was very reasonable and well worth it. Read less
Not having ever done an all-inclusive holiday previously, we were a little wary as to what to expect. However, we were very pleasantly surprised - the resort was well equipped, spotlessly clean, the... Read more food of excellent quality and variety and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our special thanks go particularly to Eduardo in the Market Place restaurant who made us smile each morning with his newly learnt Cockney rhyming slang !! and also to Miguel in the 'towel' man! Just a few things to point out to fellow holiday makers that may make your stay even better; we did suffer badly from mosquitos so would definitely recommend taking either a mosquito plug in machine with you or certainly some mosquito repellent. Also if you want a good position on the sun beds, we did undertaken 'Operation Towel Drop' each morning !! Read less
We came to relax and enjoyed our vacation very much. The property is as beautiful as the pictures. We had a tropical view room which was probably one of the best hotel rooms we've ever stayed in... Read more . Room service and stocked minibars - all inclusive as well. We were impressed. The food and drinks were great and so was the entertainment. Some of the shows were just amazing. You can do a much or as little as you want every day. There are many options offered that are included with the package. Of course there are excursions available for purchase as well. We came for a family vacation. The staff were great with our kids who had an awesome time. Miguel was their favorite!! They did archery, rifle shooting, kayaking, ping pong, just to name a few. The only minuses (we loved this place, but just as an FYI): beach is just ok - we were expecting crystal clear blue water, but it's not. It was ok though. We went when it was very humid, which you kind of get used to, but the main buffet restaurant is not air conditioned. (Air conditioned rooms were great though!) We also didn't appreciate the pushing of the "vacation club" and all the selling surrounding that aspect - so be prepared. (If you don't mind going through those sales pitch tours, you'll enjoy it.) So, although there were some minuses, the pluses definitely outweighed the negatives. We didn't want to leave and had an amazing vacation!! The staff were all wonderful and can't do enough for you. We highly recommend this resort. Read less
Our family stayed at this hotel for 7 days. We had two connected rooms and they were both fabulous! We have little children and they loved going to the Kid's Club. They loved it so much that they... Read more don't want to leave. The girls working there did a wonderful job in entertaining our little ones. The foods are excellent and love the late room service. I would like to have the possibility to make reservation at the restaurants. We were 5 and there were not so many tables available. The staff are extremely courteous and work very hard to please everyone. At the time we stayed, there are seaweed but that is due to the weather. The hotel did its best to clean up after the seaweed regularly. The one major drawback was there are lots of mosquitoes even in the rooms or outside during nighttime. I got bit and so are my daughters. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. Read less
