Read more the good and the bad... Excellent five star setting, but restaurant service could be much improved (although food is excellent). In some areas, such as cleaning of rooms, pool side staff, etc service is excellent. I would recommend Atlantis, but only for short stays. Children and teens find it excellent as the facilities are superb. Restaurants need be booked in advance. However Kaleidiscope for breakfast always had a queue (for breakfast easier to head to La Brasserie). We enjoyed the benefits of the Imperial Club. Gym and spa facilities are excellent. It is just the queues at reception and restaurants that should be seen to... Read less
Stayed at the Atlantis for 3 nights. From the moment we arrived in the Taxi i was overwhelmed by the beauty of Atlantis. The bell man asked which room we had- i was unsure. We queued in the main... Read more check -in queue (about 3 minutes) then when we got to the front desk the lady quickly apologised for the wait and showed us to the 'Imperial Club' check in! It was beautiful- and empty. We were seen in there. If you are staying on an Imperial basis or above you have your own concierge/check-in/out desk. The ins and outs of the hotel was explained we were then given our keys and directed to the room. The room was large. Very clean. Small balcony. Had views of the ocean and the front of the Atlantis hotel. We arrived in Dubai at 1am so we were quite peckish. We ordered room service and it came in good time. The in-room dining menu was not overpriced as it is in some hotels. The food was delicious. The Imperial Club lounge was excellent. Staff very attentive. Food very good. Views of the Palm-second to none. This hotel is probably one of the best hotels i have ever stayed at. I will definitely be returning in the near future. Read less
Recently stayed one night at Atlantis Dubai. This is definitely a family hotel and caters wonderfully for the children. Not so much one for adults. The lobby, entrance, facilities and restaurants are... Read more all excellent. Room decor not quite what one would expect from a 5 star hotel - though this might be due to it being a family friendly hotel rather than one specifically for couples. it is not a criticism - just an observation. Staff are friendly and very attentive. Facilities are all first rate. A family with young children would have a great stay here. Read less
Stayed at Atlantis for 2 nights on 9/12. Like their other resort in the Bahamas, Atlantis at the Palm is a beautiful resort with lush hotel grounds and scenery, but smaller hotel size and grounds... Read more than it's sister resort. Check in was horrible! We were the 5th person in line and waited close to an hour and the line never moved! My girlfriend and I decided to wait in separate lines, and after about an 1/2 hr, we made it to the receptionist. From here they will attempt to sell you an upgrade to an unoccupied suite. We opted not to upgrade and was not pressured in doing so, but notice the attempt to sell upgrades and having to explain the perks and general questions to the persons checking in was the reason for the long check in times. After declining the upgrade, our receptionist Dom(who was great), attempted to retrieve our room # but couldn't due to a down system. We again had to wait another 1/2 hr before we finally got a room. There were numerous people yelling and complaining to staff members , but we never did during this time and Dom for our troubles, gave us breakfast vouchers for 2, for 2 days. In fact we were 5 minutes away from being upgraded to a executive suite before tech support got the system up to retrieve our room #. We had a nice but basic deluxe room. Very clean, balcony, free bottled water and no free wifi. Aquaventure was wonderful, loads of fun, and never crowded. The only lines there were for Leap of faith, and it was only a 10 minute wait. Rent a cabana if you can, definitely worth it. Full day cabana price in aquaventure starts at 800 dirham for a family cabana and includes a fruit basket, bottled waters, lockers, table and loungers. The beaches were nice and always empty. The Lost Chambers was a little let down, but ok since it was included with our stay. Shuiqi Spa was excellent, very nice facility, nice massage rooms, and the best massage we ever had. Overall, we had a great time, and would recommend Atlantis to anyone and will return. Service was average to poor at times, but I would expect that at a large resort even if its 5 stars. The resort is simply to big and busy to attend to everyone. Stay here and you won't be disappointed. Read less
Where do I start? From the moment you step out of the taxi you are in awe. The reception is large and welcoming with a marvelous centre piece that everyone has their photo taken by. The rooms are... Read more huge and have everything you need and the housekeeping service is excellent. There are numerous restaurants to choose from and we could not fault any of the food we had. The Kaleidoscope restaurant is buffet style and they cater for every nationality, the other restaurants are more specific. The aquarium is just wow, its huge and, mezmarising there is such a variety of fish swimming around the "Lost City of Atlantis". We loved the aqua park, plenty to go on and it is set in lovely grounds that are well maintained. All the staff were pleasant and helpful, all in all we had a wonderful experience i would go back and i would certainly recommend this hotel.
