We went to Atlantis for our 10th anniversary which is also my wife's 30th birthday. I booked the Imperial club room instead of standard. We arrived a bit early and there was a delay in giving the... Read more room esp. as I asked for a high floor, in the middle with palm view. We were parked in the imperial lounge until 1pm had breakfast and lunch and we were taken to the room. I have to say the room and the view was outstanding and my wife was blown away! Kids loved it instantly! From then the place kept us enthralled every minute. I bought full board and we had the flexibility to use it for either lunch or dinner. The water park was magnificent. Rides outstanding. The beach on the palm was super. We didn't even try the pools until later as it was so good! And the pools...one of the pools has the view of Atlantis at the back and dubai skyline at the front. Awesome! The food was also very good on the ala carte restaurants and extensive choice in the buffet restaurants. And to top it all, on the anniversary(same as her birthday) they got us a beachside table at an specialty restaurant with a band playing. And a delicious cake as a surprise for her. Moved to us to a lounge set for the cake cutting and the celebration. There was a romantic decoration by the room service every day as they new it's a special holiday for us. I forgot the names as it's been 6 months but special mention to the imperial lounge manager for 11th floor for delivering on the room as he knew it was a special occasion, the Nepali/Bengali waiter in the imperial lounge! Will we go back...surely will! Imperial club rooms are worth the extra money is my top tip. Read less
We stayed at the Atlantis for a week in October as a family of 2 adults and a 8 year old. We had the best time ever and would go back in a second! Our room was great, had everything we needed and we... Read more had an amazing view of the royal pool and over the palm. Our house keeper was a guy called Aries who was excellent, always very polite and the room was always spotless. Every member of staff we came across was always very helpful and polite and couldn't do enough for you, we felt like royalty the whole week. We were half board which let us have breakfast every morning and either lunch or dinner at the many restaurants in the hotel. I will review the restaurants separately but we did not have one bad meal and the choice of food was excellent. My partner had arranged and special dinner for us on the Royal Beach one night for a special occasion. The manager Kirin was on hand the whole night and the food and service was top class. We had a wonderful night. The hotel is huge and there are loads to do. The pool was great and there were always plenty sunbeds at the pool and the beach (watch out for jellyfish at the beach as my daughter got stung!). You can get on one of the buggys that take you to the water park so you don't need to queue to get in. The water park is one of the best I've been to. No queues at any of the slides and the best 'lazy' river ever although its not so lazy!! Dolphin Bay is next to the water park and I had booked for us to swim with them a few weeks before we arrived in Dubai by calling the Bay direct. It was a surprise for my daughter and something we all will never forget. Its a little expensive but worth it. We bought the pictures of our swim, it worked out about £80 for 8 prints and a USB stick will all the photos which in total was about 80 pictures. It's something we can keep forever so I feel worth the money. We ventured out of the hotel and visited the burj al arab for afternoon tea and also took a few trips to the Dubai Mall where there were loads going on include Kidzania which my daughter loved and could have spent all day there!! Overall this was one of the best holidays we have been on. The hotel was perfect and Dubai is unreal. I would love to return but need to start saving again!! TIP: before you travel apply online for an Emirates Sykwards Card. You get free wifi in the hotel when you present your card and also 15% of drinks and restaurants which does make a difference!
