TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
Atlantis has become one of the "must visit" tourist destination in Dubai, so decided to give it a try. When I entered in the lobby, it felt like am in a railway station, people waiting in long queue... Read more for checkin, families waiting with luggages and the atmosphere was too loud and you find Indians everywhere. It took 1hr for me to complete the checkin formalities and get into my room. The room was good and the view was beautiful. Atlantis have many activities but only 2 are free for the residents(Aqua venture and the lost chambers ) and rest are too freaking expensive!! The lost chamber is an aquarium. It's nice. Aqua venture was under renovation and we were told only 6 rides were operating. Later we came to know there are just 3 rides. Not worth it but since it was free, it didn't hurt. People who don't stay with the hotel can pay n go for these two, but that makes the hotel all the more crowded. The beach is good. There are many restaurants with good food and many pubs and clubs too. Overall it's a nice hotel but apart from the additional activities, it's any other 5* hotel except it's super crowded. Over hyped! Read less
Dazzling hotel. We occuppied the Two-bedroom suite and its amazing. We paid AED 4000 for one night. Great value for four adults and three children. Their bathrooms are awesome. I couldnt forget it... Read more and dreaming to have the same on my own home. We have the Palm view in our room. Breakfast buffet and snack buffets are so worth it .. wide selection of tasty foods. Will come back again :) Read less
This place (like most in Dubai) is over the top. This is not your couple's get away hotel , but it is a fantastic place to stay with family and the kids. There is plenty to keep you busy. The rooms... Read more are large, but already looking a little tired in some areas. Hotel itself is huge, over 1400 rooms. The aquarium is great to see, the 3 restaurants we went to to were great and there are a heap more. Do NOT use the phone in room! We were stung $30 for a dubai call. Use skype. We paid the additional $200 for imperial membership. If you want the room on higher floor, and some small privileges it's okay, biggest one being free snacks and drinks 5-7pm on level 12, well worth it! Great water park attached, but make it sure it all open, was mostly shut down when were there mid Jan. Breakfast has about everything you can think of but you are in a room competing with 1000 ppl. Service was fantastic. Spend a few days here with family to explore and enjoy. I think a little over priced but plenty to do. Read less
Stayed here for five nights at the beginning on January and it was perfect. The hotel is immaculate and the staff were great. Would recommend for any type of holiday. The waterpark and aquarium... Read more adjoining the hotel are not to be missed. There was no queues when we went. We went with Virgin holidays and had a private taxi to and from the airport. We went out for one night to the marina (the walk) where there are lots of restaurants. The aquarium inside the hotel just has people stopping for ages to stare at the fish. The waterpark has some very big rides (hight limit is 1.2m I believe). Would recommend going in the morning as we didn't queue once and entrance was free if a hotel guest. Highly recommended. My Boyfriend & I are just back from a lovely 5 night stay at The Atlantis. We can not fault the hotel at all. Its Massive, Clean, Brilliant Staff, Great Rooms, Perfect Beach, Lovely Pools + all the... Read more resturants we tried were lovely. (Yuan, Kalidescope, Nasimi Beach, The Edge & The Shore which are the 2 pool bars) We booked a Palm View Delux Room, with Half board. So we got breakfast each morning then either Lunch or an Evening Meal. The Room was Spotless, it looked as if it had been recently decorated or its just been kept VERY well. The View was great, you have a view of the pool & the Royal beach & then also of the whole Palm. I would reccommend the Half Board option if you dont really plan on leaving the hotel for the duration you are staying. There are plenty Restaurants to pick from that you wouldnt have to go to 1 more than once if you didnt want to! (We have friends over there so didnt eat in the hotel every night but made up for it by using our half board for lunch on those days) The staff really couldnt do enough for you, the 1st night we arrived i was really unwell from something i had ate the day before & they were very helpful in letting us order food to the room and offering a medic to come up & see me. At the pools & beach again staff really were waiting on you hand & foot! We took advantage of the free access to the Waterpark (although half was shut for refurbishment) and the aquairium which were both good. Although the hotel has over 1500 rooms we never once felt that it was too busy or crowded and the security staff do a great job of keeping the general public out of the residents only area's. To sum it all up - like i said at the beginning of all this,! It really is an amazing hotel & we couldnt complain about 1 thing during our stay! We will defiantely we returning as soon as we can!
