TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
This is definitely one of my favourite holidays! From start to finish I loved every minute. Went with my husband and our 3 children, and upgraded to the imperial club, which was well worth doing in... Read more my opinion, was good to pop in for snacks and drinks throughout the day. Ate in both the buffet restaurants, usually I'm not a fan of buffets, but these two were a different class! Beautiful, fresh and a huge variety, even for a vegetarian like me! The water park was so much fun, my 12 year old son loved it, some amazing slides. Also the bit for the younger children was fab too. Lots of life guards too. This is a beautiful hotel, staff were amazing, and lots of things to do. Will definitely return one day soon! Read less
We stayed here for 4 nights as a stop over on the way home from South Africa. This is our second time staying here. We would normally stay at the Mina Salam but because we were with friends the... Read more Atlantis offered better value for money. We arrived into the hotel at 6:45 am after travelling 12 hours, normally check in is not till 3 pm so we were not expecting to be given our rooms. However, they obliged us so were able to get some sleep for a couple of hours then went for breakfast. I was very impressed with the service. Ahmed checked us in and was very friendly. He gave us similar rooms to the time we were there before. We were last there in April 2015 and this was Nov 2015 and I felt there was a step up in the level of service. I'm not sure if it's because it was quieter or not but I cannot fault the Atlantis. It is an excellent place for families, very cosmopolitan as lots of different nationalities there. Good value for money especially with their half board deals. Read less
I've been here a few times and it is always an amazing experience. We always stay in the club level mainly because the free cocktail lounge is such good fun (note cocktails straight after the... Read more waterpark straight after a famous Dubai brunch isn't an amazing idea) The free waterpark in the hotel is one of the best attractions in Dubai if you are into thrill rides. Note: We left a jacket there accidentally in December. When we went back in March we jokingly asked if they had found it. They had. And kept it. And returned it to us.. How wonderful. Read less
This hotel is just fantastic with a range do services, restaurants and attractions all under one roof. The hotel itself is spectacular and the various pools and areas to the hotel are kept... Read more meticulously clean. The rooms are great and spacious. We went for a half board option which is recommend. We benefitted from being able to eat at some of the restaurants within the hotel including the amazing saffron restaurant, a buffet like no other! The water park here is fantastic, lots of fun and other attractions and amenities such as the aquarium are ask great. Service was absolutely fine. With a hotel of this size, I suppose it's difficult to provide a level of service that is personal to everyone but I had no complaints. Having stayed at the Atlantis, it would be really difficult to stay anywhere else for my next visit because it was just so spectacular!! Read less
Me, my wife and our 11 month old son stayed here for a week on a half board package on a deluxe room. Positives - the hotel staff were pleasant and offered a very good service. Our baby enjoyed the... Read more aquarium and the vastness the hotel had to offer. The hotel was the biggest we have stayed at, so it was nice to walk around, especially in the evenings in the rear of the hotel. We only had to leave the hotel on two occasions as we were always occupied with the aquarium, water park, swimming pools, the hotel had almost everything we needed. The spa was impressive too. Negatives - there were a few occasions where the lifts got very busy, espescially at dinner times. Once we had to press the lift button 6 times as there was not enough room for the 3 of us as the lifts were that busy! Also, when booking the holiday in advance we were keen on eating at the levantine restaurant. However this restaurant started to undergo renovation works before our stay which meant we had to opt for the buffet style restaurants, which was OK but not ideal as we had a very active baby with us. The Kaleidoscope restaurant was good though and had a large selection of food, so we ate 5 times, but it would've been good to have more 5 star style restaurants without paying a supplement charge. We ate at saffron and nasimi beach the other times which were OK. It also took approximately 30-40 minutes to get our luggage after entering our room at check in, which was a bit long to what I have previously experienced when staying at 5 star hotels, and perhaps lower star hotels too. One of the requests we had in advance was a quiet room as our baby is a light sleeper, however after checking in we realised our room was far from quiet, we were on the 4th floor and directly outside us was some sort of a taxi base, where there was occasional use of the horns. By the time we realised it was late in the night and we had already taken our luggage out, so we didn't ask to be moved, however I felt as though the request was ignored even though Id sent an email in advance. In comparison to JZS, which is the only other 5 star we have stayed in dubai, overall we would prefer to stay at JZS again. As we feel the food was better, the spa facilities were better, and its less busy. JZS is more elegant and classy too. However this hotel had more fun to offer in terms of it's size, aquarium and water park. Overall we are happy with our stay, but will probably not return here again. Read less
