Hotel room was not that great. Even with paid WiFi the connection was so bad. I would say it’s just average. The whole experience was not good. It could be improved so that guests can enjoy a restful night.

We stayed the night at this hotel as part of a guided tour to Yosemite National Park. We dit not have a great stay at this hotel. The room was old, very noisy, the fire alarm made noise becaouse it needed batteries (whitch we had to beg the reception for a change of), terrible food selection and taste in the restaurant, no breakfast (you could buy a small kinda sandwich to-go), located far outside of Yosemite (½ hours drive each way) and not really anything to do around the hotel (like hikes). To top it off, the hotel was expensive. The only good thing was the sweet staff. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating The rooms did the job. Nothing amazing, but the games area and staff were great.

If I'm to be honest, the rooms themselves were nothing special at all. They did the job. However, the staff were pretty good. The staff in the restaurant were incredibly friendly and cheerful, and the communications I received from the hotel during the "government shut-down" scare were VERY much appreciated. We wouldn't have even known this was… Read more

Great Yosemite Valley location (about 8 miles outside the El Portal park entrance) with access to Merced River swimming across the highway. We also took advantage of the west pool with hot tub: whoever designed this area gets 5 stars; great evening lighting turns on at dusk (note that we didn't know there was another pool near the restaurant due to the high fences). We thought the restaurant was fine with pub fare favorites, good drinks and a nice local beer offering: staff was accommodating too. Room bed comfy and the AC and TV worked well. That's the good. Now the not good: no internet except pay by day at $10.00. No cell service here either although this is not their issue: do note that you will get some cell service in the park Valley area. Our room in the 500 building next to the west pool needed updating, threadbare carpet and was likely filthy as was the tile floor in the bathroom: put down a damp towel and wipe it around to see the grime. No microwave oven which was a problem as my wife is GF and is limited in the restaurants: she'll make her own breakfast or eat leftovers and heat water for tea; no, she will not use the coffee pot to heat water. She had to walk down to the lobby and use their microwave. Perhaps an upgraded room is nicer. I think they have kitchenette rooms which we should've switched to... No daily room cleaning. Pricey for this quality. My total bill for 4 nights and 4 days of internet was about $1150. Read less
