TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
This was my third time staying at this hotel, and the hotel continues to stay on the top of my list for places to stay in Las Vegas What I like about the hotel: 1 The best thing about the hotel... Read more is it's location. While technically not on the strip, for all practical purposes, it is on the strip. You take a very short walk through the miracle mile shopping center, and you exit in front of Planet Hollywood, a short walk to Bellagio, Caesars, etc. 2. As with all Hiltons, Elite members get free internet, and the internet is reliable 3. The gym on the 4th floor is adequate, with about 4 ellipiticals, 4 tradmills, and weight machines 4. The attached mall has several restaurants and shops 5. All the rooms have microwaves, dishwashers, and minifrdiges. The larger suites have full size fridges and washer/dryers What I did not like 1. As a diamond member, I usually get access to an executive lounge or at least free breakfast at most Hiltons. At this place, I got nothing other than two complimentary bottles of water and free internet. They are not as generous as other Hiltons when it comes to offering s for their elite members Read less
I stayed in this hotel with 3 of my children, in one bedroom suite. The checking in was good. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. There is a Jacuzzi in the bedroom in addition to a... Read more shower in the bathroom. The accommodation has a full kitchen. The airport is close to the hotel and it costs under $20 to travel between the airport and the hotel by taxi. The hotel is connected to the Miracle Mile Shopping Mall which has several quality restaurants. Through the mall one can easily access the center of the Strip! The hotel has no gambling facility and that means it is reasonably quiet. The Management takes the issue of security very seriously to the extent that the key-card to one’s room is electronically checked by a hotel security man before one can access the elevator. The only down side is that like many top notch Hilton Hotels, WiFi is not free in the room. However, there is free internet access at the business center. Other than that, there is nothing to complain about and when next I am Vegas, I will stay in the hotel. Read less
We moved from the Flamingo to here because there is a no smoking policy here but not at the Flamingo. This is the newest property and centrally located in the middle of the strip. It's a tall... Read more building and if your scared of hight's than be warned. We were on the 52nd floor and my wife would not go near the window. As I stated in my Flamingo review, the coupons they give you at check in are worth less than the water. I don't think we used a single one of their coupons. The show prices they offer are also more expensive than what we booked through Ticket Master so do your homework and don't assume that since you're staying at a HGVC that you're getting the better rate. The rooms themselves are very nice and clean. The main problem with them is that even on the second floor you hear every police car and ambulance that goes by. They really need to insulate their windows for sound. It was so bad I went to the store and purchased ear plugs because you hear between 3-5 ambulances a night. I'm also an owner of HGVC but I have not upgraded to more points. The main reason is that there really isn't anything they do to make you feel extra special for dropping 15k to become an owner. Another timeshare we own, we are greeted with Hot towels, flowers for my wife and drinks at every resort. Here you pay what everyone else pays. I sound like a snob but I'm just comparing one Time Share vs Another and the other one appreciates the 15k you dropped more than Hilton does. Read less
HI, while I like this Hotel for the Location and proximity to the upscale malls and Planet Hollywood area. This was a Points booking and I upgraded to a 2 Bdrm. Suite on the Corner of Floor 22... Read more looking at the Strip. This room was Awesome in the Sq. Footage and the View. in the Master Room it was a windows view from two angels. this had amenities like dishes and other dine in options. On the downside, I'm still not impressed with the Washer/Dryer Combo. as the Dryer is a wet clothes experience and we had to give up after several hours and lay the clothes over chairs. The Projection TV still has bugs and was not aligned properly with the screen. while my family of 5 including three children enjoyed this stay, I had a major problem with the hotel and the Pre-auth's on my C/C. while this was an upgrade for the three nights and the hotel gave me a great discount. they preceded to auto $1037, then $937 on the 28th and another two at $369.60 on the 29th for a total of a whopping $2700 and change that was taken from my available Credit Line. I called the first night and was told the first was rescinded and then again on the 30th called and went down to desk to 3 way a call to my C/C company to resolve this matter. while Monica was very good about this, I feel some kind of compensation was due for the extra problems that was created by this ordeal. when the only pre auto should have been the $369.60 for the bill. All in all we had a great time, and the Hotel is looking better from My July 4th stay. The pool is closed for the Winter as they do not staff it during this time. Read less
