TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
Encore and Wynn is such an exceptional experience. I got an offer in the mail and I cant believe that I stayed at this magnificent suite. Gorgeous rooms, super accommodating staff, exceptional... Read more casino, the food selection is so amazing. Everything you expect in a first class vacation is provided here. And when strolling through other casinos during the trip, it is obvious that the Encore/Wynn properties are the best. Read less
On a previous visit, i already sampled the luxuries of the Wynn and decided to indulge myself on it's sister hotel, the Encore. And i was not disappointed in the slightest. The decor was very... Read more much like the original Wynn hotel, deep reds and start white and gold walls. It was spacious and simply oozed money (definitely not a place for someone who loves coupons and gets excited when a 5 dollar rebate comes in the mail). check in was a breeze and i got a strip facing suite (the hotel is an all suite hotel). Elevators for the resort rooms were a little hard to find, they're in back of the open cafe right next to the reception desk. Security at the elevators are tight, so keep your key card with you at all times. The Rooms were spacious and beautiful, very large and comfortable like the main Wynn, with full floor to ceiling windows, allowing a full view of the strip. of course the main strip view is blocked by the main Wynn hotel (much like the wynn's view is blocked by the Palazzo to the south), but it's still very beautiful. the bed was huge and comfortable with enough firmness that i didn't wake up with a back ache, went to sleep easily (even over slept my second day in). the view from the bed wasn't as great as it was while in the Wynn. the TV pretty much blocks it out so you can't really appreciate the view unless you're in the living area. bathroom was beautiful as always with a partition for the toilet to give any one else sharing the room with you a little privacy (something very important if you read my report from Hong Kong). The Casino is notably less crowded and less dense than the Wynn with fewer gaming tables and machines. what machines they do have are mostly higher end denominations (only found a few lower denomination machines hidden in a corner of the gaming floor, while most were at least 1$ with 10-20creds per play). There are a few bars here, it seems one at each wall of the casino, but the gem on this side was the East Side bar. there's a seated area in front of the wide windows looking out over the pool area, and two traditional bars with a decent selection of drinks for the picky. much like the wynn, their drinks are strong and well made, their traditional drinks are excellent and they have a few specialty drinks that anyone would enjoy. in the evening, they have a nice free show (free as long as you're drinking something i suppose) called dueling pianos. the pianists are excellent and entertaining, a perfect place to sip a drink and get buzzed for an evening. The staff, without a single exception on this trip, was excellent. from the receptionist, to the security, to the bar staff, the maids, and the room service staff, every single one of them were professional and personable (the check out receptionist even made a good attempt at decent small talk while we were waiting for my bill to be processed, something i've never seen a receptionist do at all the hotels i've stayed at). In all, it's an excellent hotel, especially those accustomed to the Wynn's above par service. It would be a hard choice to choose between the two, but you can expect the same professional and personable service no matter where you stay. I will always make it a point to stay at a Wynn resort while in vegas. Read less
From the moment we arrived at the Encore, the bell staff welcomed us back, and took our luggage and told us where the check in was, the whole staff makes you feel welcome and comfortable. We have... Read more dined in all the restaurants and it has never disappointed. I will not stay anywhere else, the level of service is not matched in any other hotel, (except for the Wynn). We stayed Nov. 27- Dec.1. it was great seeing the hotel decorated for Christmas. You will not be disappointed staying here. Also we had a room on the 17th floor I was worried we would hear the music from the night club surrender, but I'm pleased to say I slept well, never heard a thing. Read less
