Oh beautiful Venetian, what happened to you???? Many years ago, I stayed in this hotel and it was magnificent! Now, gone are the canopy beds, the dressers with DRAWERS, the slippers, the bathroom... Read more scales, the tea and coffee maker, the newspaper delivered at your door, the turn-down service, the chocolates on the pillow. The rooms are lit with low-wattage bulbs.....so it's very dark in the room. There are no longer any drawers in the room; just consoles with shelves that you have to bend down to reach, and they are painted black inside so any of your dark clothing is lost! The rooms is advertised as $149/nt (a special) but by the time you add your required resort fees of $28.00 and the tax and service, you are looking at closer to $200/nt. The good news is that the room is spacious and clean, the bed feels wonderful and the people of the hotel are so polite and helpful. But I still miss the luxury of the old Venetian days. Read less
As someone who has stayed in Las Vegas numerous times for both work and pleasure, I would have to say my stay at the Venetian was quite disappointing. We got this hotel from and expedia secret deal... Read more and were originally quite excited as we had never stayed here prior. The hotel itself is gorgeous with all amenities, restaurants, nightclubs and casino that you would expect from a Vegas 5 star hotel. It is connected to the canal shoppes which is quite convenient. The grounds and pools are stunning and you have acess to the sister hotel the palazzo however that being said it is nearly impossible to find a chair at the pool on most days. The outside furniture is dingy and old and needs replacement. With regards to the rooms they are suites which is quite nice however the rooms are starting to look weathered and the walls are paper thin. You will hear noisy people screaming at all hours of the night. The quality or hotel guests is also not very classy with trashy looking men and women. Overall I think there are many better hotel options on the strip for similar pricing. Read less
