TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
Make no mistake, this hotel, including the Palazzo, is the size of a small village - it took more than 10 minutes to get from the Venezia tower to the far side of the Palazzo. We had a room in the... Read more Venezia tower, which was nice, although not yet refurbished, very quiet and roomy. You get a sunken lounge area and a large bathroom. You absolutely do not need to leave the property for any reason what with the sheer number of restaurants, bars and even a food court. Plus a shopping mall. The casino in the Palazzo seemed a little more relaxed to us non gamblers (apart from a short time on slot machines to get a free drink) but, as with everywhere else, they are generally manic places. As with everywhere in Vegas you can get whatever you want for a fee and the Venetian is no different. There is a resort fee, wine in the restaurants is very expensive, breakfast is not cheap and so on. However, if you like places where there is always something going on and understand that the room rate is a starting point then the Venetian is great. If you get a room in the Venezia tower you'll have a sort of oasis of calm to escape to, although there is only one restaurant (Bouchon) in that building. Read less
Was here for a trade show, so of course the rates are jacked up accordingly. We arrived abnormally early (9:00 AM). A room was available but had a "pool view". Swell, but a $45 additional charge... Read more per night. It was too convenient to say no. But in talking to other guests, this seems to be the regular line. Plus a "$28 resort fee" each night. Really? Beautiful room, I'll admit. The air in the Casino and immediate surroundings always smelled of smoke. It's probably a tough job, but the Bellagio does a much better job of removing the smoke from the common areas. Grand Canal Shoppes are nice and first rate. Location is good, especially if you have a convention at The Sands. Read less

Read more 6 day stay for a conference.. And I never even say one of the many pools.. How sad...Gorgeous suite w huge bathroom complete w soaking tub and make up dressing area , awesome gym, spa and salon..37 restaurants? Wow too many good things to say about food.. Huge place...lots of good shopping.. The Venice painting, light fixtures and gondolas etc is over the top And fun ..Rialto bridge and dogges palace, st marks square and even the bridge of sighs ..impressive. 7000 rooms between all 3 towers Venezia , Venetian and palazzo ..super nice staff...negatives would be lines for everything.. This is disneyland for adults so get ready to stand in que for check in , restaurants, coffee, taxi, check out, concierge..everything.. Also it's pricey.. Got a great convention rate on room..but the resort fee ..the $50 a plate ish restaurants , the 3 times mark up on bottles of wine.. Even the mini bar.. Just more than other places.. What was affordable was a Salon treatments or gym and the wifi was fast and reliable which was surprising since I figured it would be terrible to force me to be out spending instead of in my room working . Casinos are nasty and smell like smoke..many unsavory folks..even ladies of the night..gasp..but I did go to several other hotels and wow they were so far below the Venetian in terms of tacky..that I guess casinos are all yikes? I am not a gambler so I just don't get that element at all. Another plus was housekeeping. It's like they knew when I was gone.. My room was always made up.. Always ..and sometimes I was back by the room at 10 or 11 am..how did they know? They also provided a drink coupon, free coffee daily and a discount at spa which I used . And I got intercontinental points..cha ching Needed more towels for sure-that's an area to improve . I made all dinner, spa and show reservations through concierge over phone before arrival and while I was staying . They emailed confirmations to me and I never waited long.. So helpful. One of better concierge services w lots of staff. Pleasantly surprised as I have not been in Vegas for 15 plus years.. I will actually come back soon because of this lovely stay. Thank you Read less
