Read more We recently had a five night stay at the Venetian to commence our Nevada and Californian holiday and what an amazing start we had.... From the moment we arrived in the taxi we were so well looked after.. Our luggage was taken care of whilst we checked in and although we didn't get the strip view I requested, our newly renovated room was stunning - even better than the photos. Our luggage promptly arrived and we were given a tour of the room and bell boy collected ice for us. The next morning, we received a courtesy call from management, whereby we mentioned our request for a strip view room and we were very efficiently moved by the staff - have to say though... The view was mainly of the pool area with a slight glimpse of treasure island and the fashion show mall. I would have been disappointed if I had paid for this upgrade. One night, we returned to find chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of wine with compliments... There's a great complex of pools and an abundance of sun loungers, though it did get mightily busy at the weekend.. Staff remove towels if guests leave them unattended for too long. There is a notice which warns you of this - the pool guys are great, good friendly drinks service and though cocktails were not cheap, they certainly hit the spot on a hot day. We ate at grand lux cafe, both for breakfast and dinner and highly recommend. Amazing lobster rolls at lobster ME. Big plus for the bourbon room.. Great vibe and dancing..... Looooved the gondolas and the shops at the grand canal. The sales assistants are very slick - if you go in to buy one thing, you will end up with two! The lovely Venetian is great for people watching and such a romantic hotel... It also made us wish to visit the "real" Rome... We fell in love with the Venetian - highly recommend and will surely return. Read less
Spent the weekend at the Venetian to celebrate a bachelorette. The bride was absolutely thrilled with our choice of hotel. Other reviews have covered the fact that the hotel is massive and the... Read more interior is very grand, views that I share as well. I arrived around 2pm on a Friday, and it was a mad house at check in, but I still got service with a smile. We got the Bella suite for 4 girls and it was a great size. The room was very spacious, with a sunken living room and a great view of the strip. The bathroom was massive, with a huge mirror over double sinks plus vanity seating, and 3 full length mirrors, so all the girls can get ready at the same time. Beds are super comfortable, and though we didn't watch tv, there were 2 large screens to enjoy. Excessive right? That's what it's like. Anything you think you need is in the room for you. All of the staff we encountered were excellent, from check in, maid service, to check out. They have a fantastic gym, and 2 pools - one is the infamous Tao beach for the pool party, and there is another quiet pool for just chilling, both very pretty. It's so convenient to have a great pool party right in the hotel we're staying at. As others have mentioned, for casual eats you can't go wrong with the affordable Grand Lux cafe, and the location is awesome, on the strip right where all the action is. On another note, I walked through the Cosmo - also stunning in a more modern way, but by 4pm there were lots of drunk people walking around after leaving the marquee pool party. Venetian has their pool party too, but you didn't get that same flood of slightly obnoxious drunk people. I don't know if it's because Venetian is so massive it just absorbs the drunk people with the rest of the guests, but it was a more "civilized" scene, shall we say. So along with the great facilities, fabulous restaurants, and excellent staff in this resort, there was free wifi and parking. I'm guessing this is all covered by the extra resort fee we pay per night. It's worth it though. I'd definitely stay here again. Read less
This is probably my favorite hotel on the strip, and would definitely consider staying here again. The Venetian hotel is located near what I consider to be the center of the strip. This means that... Read more there are many things that are within a reasonable walk. That being said, there are so many great bars and restaurants in the hotel, you don't even really need to leave. The rooms are also great. I liked the overall size of the room - there really was a sleeping area and a sitting area in a standard suite. The only thing that wasn't great was the pool. The pool was good. It was not a bad pool, but felt a bit small for the size of the hotel. Especially on the weekends, if you want to find a chair to sit on, you will need to tip the people working by the towels to get a spot. It is also adjacent to the Tao Beach party, which means that you will hear the music quite clearly. On one hand, this means it is not the most relaxing pool to hang out at, but on other hand can make for interesting people watching. Read less
Went to Venetian for my friends wifes birthday March 9th to the 13 th. Granted the best package rate was from the hotels website. Once there we asked if you could get rooms close to each other, well... Read more we had to pay and upgrade fee, both couples totalling over 600 dollars all so we were next to each other. Tried out many of the restaurants there and all pretty good. To save some money go right outside to the Walgreen and buy anything you might need there. Would be better if the rooms had a fridge that you could put stuff on instead of being over charged for everything. The Tao beach was a joke, pay to get in, but overpriced drinks and just a bunch of guys trying to flex for small amount of woman in there. We also visited club Tao, be prepared to lay out over 1500$ easy just for 4 people. The place was so crowded I'm suprised fire marshals didn't close it down, had a better time at The Bourbon room after the night club. If I were to retut to Vegas I seriously doubt I would return to the Venetian. Was the most expensive trip I ever took and I travel two to three times a year to the Caribbean and stay longer and never spent do much. I feel it's nothing more than a tourist trap and I see the appeal, better of just visiting and staying somewhere cheaper. Read less
