When we mentioned to people we were staying at the Wynn they all said wow lucky you. However, even though the hotel was lovely, bedrooms amazing, breakfast was thrown in for free to. But and there is... Read more a very big but...we booked and paid for two rooms in September 2013 for September 2014 however on arrival we were told the only rooms available were on the 8 floor unless we wanted to pay for an upgrade to a higher floor! I did complain that our view was of the restaurant rooftops and that when booking and paying for rooms a year out, that we should have been allocated rooms with better views. I spoke with the reservations manager who told me it had been a busy weekend but they could move us to an upgraded room on a higher floor. I declined the offer as we had already unpacked and settled in. So they did give us free internet access for the duration of our stay. My other issue is the trip to Vegas was for my 50th birthday so my daughter arranged and paid for us to have champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in our room on arrival but the hotel tried to charge us for this. After we explained this had been taken care of they took this off our bill but on returning to the UK I have found that they did charge my credit card so I am having to fight to get this back now. It seems that they just kept trying to get us to part with more money and trying to sell us extras on top of what we had already paid for. We took a travel kettle with us and towards the end of the holiday the maid mistakenly put out cups in the rubbish, when I phoned housekeeping they came straight to our room with the maid who was very upset but I explained it was a mistake it was fine but we just wanted to find the cups as they were lightweight and fitted inside the kettle. They found the cups and I think they take any form of theft (even though this was what happened, it was a genuine mistake) very seriously. Overall brilliant holiday brilliant hotel but they need to get the front of house and back of house staff talking.. Read less

I have stayed at the Wynn numerous times and 3 times this year alone. I can explain how disappointed I am on this trip. My room preference of a king bed was denied and my room has a view of air... Read more conditioners and other equipment. The 5th floor not only has terrible views but noisy as well. Upon check in my clerk Adam could not have been ruder. He could care less that I was a return client nor that I had referred several friends. When asked to speak to a manager I was told they were busy, when I asked for his contact details he said he can't give them out. Such a shame, a beautiful property....unfortunately arrogant staff. I always tell people I feel relaxed when I return from Las Vegas, which is usually the opposite of what you're supposed to feel after a 4-day stint in that wild city. But I tell them I'm relaxed... Read more because I stayed at the Wynn. It is an absolutely beautiful place: every inch of wall, floor, and ceiling is designed in beautiful detail. The staff is lovely. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable, and beautiful with huge windows that let in tons of natural light. The restaurants cannot be beat in service and food. The pool and spa are out of this world. I literally live for the first breath I take when I step into the Wynn… How does a casino that allows smoking smell like flowers and happiness? I don't care what new, grand hotel/casino pops up in Vegas in my lifetime, you will always find me at the Wynn. Read less
