TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
Found out about a deal using the LV Advisor and decided to treat ourselves to the Wynn for our annual Vegas getaway. Almost perfect stay. Check-in was friendly and fast - no wait. Reception is... Read more very close to the main valet. You have to walk through the casino to get to the elevator bank, but that's standard for Vegas. I think they we're giving the special to everyone, but our room came with a daily breakfast or lunch buffet for two. That's a very good deal, especially considering that a standard breakfast in one of cafes/coffee shops usually goes for $40-$50 these days. Our room was on the 27th floor and overlooked the Encore and the golf course on the non-strip side of the hotel. The room was HUGE. Very nicely appointed - easy to use controls for the lights and window dressings. Excellent shower pressure. Only 2 issues - and they really don't detract from my rating, although I will mention them for anyone planning a trip. 1 - while I like all of the controls for the windows and lights, all of the panels/switches give off some light. If you like your room dark, this can be a little annoying. After the first night, we were sure to just cover them all with brochures before bed. 2 - on our 2nd night, we received notice that the water in all the guest rooms would be turned off for maintenance from 10:00pm to 7:00am. We did call reception and they offered to move us to the Encore. We declined as I really wanted to stay at the Wynn. It wasn't too much of an inconvenience so we planned around it. Overall- excellent stay. Well worth the money if you want to treat yourself. All the staff, from housekeeping to security to valet, were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is beautiful. if you can find a good deal - book it. Read less
