TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
As Wynn Las Vegas is a large resort I will try to review the hotel from arrival to departure. We opted for self parking and the garage was easy to find and well layed out. Took the elevator up to... Read more the reception area and went to check in. Check inn was a dream. The lady checking us in was very pleasant and smiling, and giving us all the info we needed. She made us feel very welcome! We went to our room and were pleasantly surprised to find she had given us exactly the room we asked for when we booked the hotel (at a very reasonable rate, by the way!) The room itself is big and classy, but a bit dated. I like the cream colors, but something is a bit "off" decor wise. I just can´t put my finger on it... Separate bathroom and WC, fairly large storage for clothes and the best bed ever! I loved the control panels in the room, and especially the opportunity to open and close the curtains from the bed. The room was spotlessly clean, which I really appreciate! Regarding the minibar; if an item is moved for more that 2 minutes it will be added to your bill. That goes for snacks as well, not just drinks! We used a 8 dollar box of m&m´s to support an iPhone in the iPhone dock. In other words, an expensive box of m&m´s! We had lunch at the Drugstore Cafe which was fine. Had a table overlooking the casino and took in the vibe! Went to collect our pre ordered tickets to Le Reve. What a show! I can´t even explain the experience, so you have to check it out for yourselves! Tried the Buffet twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner. We were not impressed on either occasion, but ok for the experience. Pretty long lines as well. We also had dinner at Sinatra. A nice italian restaurant, but not that special really. Had drinks at Parasol Down and watched The lake of dreams show, which I recommend. We tried to get a table at SW steakhouse, but were somewhat put off by the rude staff. They said, yes we could reserve a table if my boyfriend removed his baseball hat. Yes, off course he was not planning on wearing this to dinner, but we were on our way to the pool and were dressed accordingly. If they had said the same in a nice manner it would not have been that much of an issue, but generally it´s not a good idea to assume indiscreetly that people do not know how to behave. Had breakfast at Terrace Point Cafe which we enjoyed. Prepare to stand in line. The pool area is beautiful and we loved every minute of it! Nice staff handing out towels and water. Casino is great and not smoky at all! Also not crowded. Check out was prompt and easy. In general the resort is immaculate and very well kept. Lots to see and lots to do. Our first choice for our next time In Vegas. Read less
We had a top floor corner panoramic room- so both walls were complete floor to ceiling glass with views of the strip and the mountains. The room was gorgeous. You have to specify corner panoramic to... Read more get both walls to be glass. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous but be prepared to spend a lot of money to eat here. The negatives- after a delayed flight, we finally arrived and the front desk staff at 2am told us the computer was down and we needed to take our luggage and go find something to do for an hour- what?!? At a five star hotel? We actually had to pull out suitcases to the 24 hour cafe and sit there with our luggage with our friends- as the bar wouldn't let us in with our suitcases. This turned into close to two and a half hours before we could get into our room- this made it 6 am because the key cards they gave us didn't work so I had to return to the lobby(15 minute round trip walk - twice). They finally had the maintenance man get us into our room at 5:30am! This messed up most of our plans for the following day as we were exhausted but couldn't sleep because we wanted to enjoy Vegas this then caused me to have a migraine and I actually had to go to bed at 7pm and miss an entire night in Vegas and Lise money for a show I paid for. Our friends room was on the 38th floor and they had to sleep with earplugs and a fan- provided by the front desk- to drown out the music from the nightclub. They said they could sing the songs at 3 am in their room that cost $500 a night. I was on the 57th floor and it was peaceful and we didn't hear the nightclub. Read less
We continue to come back to the Wynn because it's the nicest hotel on the strip. It really feels luxurious with reasonable hotel rates when you can find a deal. We have never had a problem with our... Read more stay, we have had nothing but great experiences. It is further away from all the commotion but that's actually something we really like about it. A lot more peaceful that way. The pool is amazing we didn't get a chance to go this time around and I was really disappointed because it's such a great time. The buffet is personally one of the best and although it may not have as much variety as bachanal(which for whatever reason is voted #1) I feel like the quality of food is far superior. The rooms are gorgeous, always clean and well kept, another reason we love to stay here. On a side note I'm obsessed with the scent of their lobby. Whatever they use needs to be bottled because I want my house to smell like it. If you're looking for a hotel and don't mind being further away from all the commotion this is the right place for you.
