Recently renovated, the Red Lion offers a very comfortable standard of accommodation and a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere just a stone’s throw from Anaheim’s myriad of attractions. Comprised of two buildings, divided by a garden area. Red's Pasta Lounge is open daily and serves a hearty buffet breakfast to get your day off to just the right start. It’s also a great place for dinner with plenty of traditional American charm. For pre-dinner drinks, look no further than Red's Pasta Lounge. If you’ve still got some energy left after a day at the theme parks, splash about for a bit in the large outdoor heated swimming pool with open fire pits. There’s also a fitness centre if you’re keen to keep in shape plus a spacious sundeck for making the most of that brilliant Californian weather.

Every member of the... Read more staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little "tired", but very clean and presentable. Each day our room was nicely cleaned, but for some reason housekeeping would not leave fresh bath and face soap. The only way we could replace our soap was to ask for it at the front desk or write a BIG note to the housekeeping lady. The bars are really small, so it didn't take long to need new bars. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were the size of postage stamps, so they were a bit of a challenge. Our trip centered around Disneyland, so the location was fantastic. We are senior citizens and were even able to walk a couple of times. Took about 15 minutes. We do recommend the ART shuttle. There is a stop right out front of the hotel and it is reasonably priced. We did reserve a deluxe park view room, so our room was on the 8th floor. Highly recommend a room on a higher floor. We could see the fireworks at Disneyland, however, the view is not quite what is shown on the website...the park is a further away than what is depicted. We also appreciated the ability to print our Southwest Airlines boarding passes. We would stay here again, but maybe take our own pillows and soap! Read less

Thank you Emily😃 you were amazing!!! Pros: TV has Disney channel. Coffee and hot tea were great. Pool was really nice and towels were available at entrance. Maid service everyday for coffee cups... Read more & refills, etc. Large luggage carts were available in lobby. Avoid ihop next door it's expensive. Cheesecake Factory 8 minute away and so worth the walk. Shuttle ART bus route 3 available out front for Disneyland. Cons: shower faucet not user friendly it was confusing & needs stickers to help kids with hot/cold. Maid knocked 8:30 and again 9:20 morning of checkout. Read less

Read more checked in and didn't have to wait. The clerk was able to correct the room rate that was wrongly documented. As I was previously quoted a lower rate. Overall impression of the lobby in the hallways is that it appeared to be clean and well-kept. The grounds were well groomed and it looked like the maintenance had been kept up. Upon arrival to room 428, the room was basic. I was booked into a room with two queen size beds. I noted that the blanket at the foot of the both beds were obviously soiled. I did not look like they've been cleaned in quite some time. The surfaces of the credenza and the nightstand did not appear to have been wiped down for quite some time. Vacuuming in the room did not appear to be complete as they were still some things on the floor. In the bathroom, a quick look of the tile showed that it did not appear to have been cleaned in quite some time. All it really takes is a little bit of cleaning fluid and a squeegee and that would make it look quite shiny. Overall, the room did not have a warm or clean feeling. It did not seem clean to me. I've stayed at a Super 8 Hotel across the street which is much cheaper than the Red Lion and it was immaculately clean. The room did not smell clean and that's important to me I did not make a big issue out of it when I was there because I just wanted to enjoy my holidays. I did advise the front desk staff at checkout. Also, previous reviews have indicated that cleanliness has been an issue. I don't feel like I needed to say any further than what's already been documented in the review history. I think I won't be staying at the Red Lion again. The quality is just not up to snuff. It was relatively inexpensive. I don't agree with the resort fees. You should just include any additional services with the price. I could understand if they offered a shuttle to the airport or to Disneyland. But they don't. My advice to the Red Lion management is to get rid of the resort fees. Also do a better job of keeping your room clean. I would recommend a hotel across the street from Disneyland such as the Carousel Inn or the Best Western Park Place. Read less
