TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
The hotel was just a short walk to Disneyland so the location is great! The room was clean and fairly quiet and the beds were good too. We paid the extra price for parking and breakfast which I... Read more think I would pass on next time because there are several places close by that you can get more of a choice for breakfast for around the same price. The only real issue I had was with the coffee in the room. They leave you three Keurig pods but only one is regular coffee. The other is decaf and tea and they want to charge an extra $.75 per cup of coffee. They did change them out for regular coffee when asked but the room should come with at least 2 regular coffee's to accommodate two adults without asking. Oh and I should add that we had breakfast one morning while staying here and it was just ok. However I need to give a special shout out to one of the breakfast workers on Oct 28th, I think his name was Jose, he was very nice and a very hard worker!!! Read less
We stayed at the Red Lion hotel to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. From the moment we entered the lobby we were treated royally. We arrived early so our room was not yet ready. Hotel staff... Read more offered to store our luggage and give us access to the pool to pass the time. They did everything in their power to get us our room as early as possible. We loved everything about this hotel-- the décor of the hotel, the modern furnishings, the Keurig coffee makers in the rooms - and the fact that there was an extra supply of towels & facecloths in the bathroom. The room was quiet at night. We loved the proximity to Disneyland and downtown Disney - the perfect walking distance The breakfast buffet was wonderful and very affordable and the dining room staff were very attentive. My only suggestion is that perhaps there could be COMPLIMENTARY COFFEE - set out for guests who are waiting in the lobby prior to check-in or who are waiting for their shuttles upon departure. we were on a 3 weeks holiday in America and stayed at red lion for 4 nights. this was the worst accommodation out of all. the room was too small, old, muggy, no fresh air. Did not feel like coming... Read more back the the hotel after enjoying disneyland. We had breakfast one day, again the quality of food was really bad. They charged me $ 25 for a local call!!! i would not recommend this to anyone. Read less
This was our third stay to the Red Lion for the purpose of visiting Disneyland. Check in was great and staff were enthusiastic and accommodating. Rooms were clean. Housekeeping was okay, although... Read more not great, despite leaving generous tips daily. One complaint is that the pillows are super small. Not a huge issue, but definitely an area of improvement. We will be back, and overall I recommend this hotel for families wanting a reasonable priced place near Disney. We did use the ART bus as it saved our feet for a day of walking around the theme parks. We did do the walk a few times and found it was not far at all. We took a cab back from Downtown Disney after having a few drinks one night, it was very reasonable. We have yet to use the pool, maybe next time :) Read less
