TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
The construction and maintenance of the hotel and rooms stands apart from most. I didn't see any blemishes in paint, molding, siding, etc. This makes the room already feel much nicer. Walls are... Read more decently think to isolate noise, but "elephants" upstairs can still be heard when walking (so bias towards top-floor rooms). Elevators never kept us waiting more than 20 seconds. Lobby was very welcoming and desk staff were sufficient (could have been better at check-in but were dealing with reservations issues with other customers ahead of us). This property is also a short talk to Disneyland. Overall, we would definitely stay here over most of the other neighboring, walkable to Disneyland hotels. Read less
Newly renovated hotel close to Disney. Our room was super clean, bathrooms really clean, air conditioning worked well. Bedding was nice & towels were comfortable. Beds were okay but I like really... Read more soft beds so I think thats just personal preference. Loved the frosted glass bathroom doors! Rooms had a tiny mini-fridge and a microwave. Oh, and bring some K-Cups! We loved the Keurig feature in the room. The fitness center is nice, parking lot is secure and private, pool area is nice but there is NO hot tub :/ We are AP holders so we tend to take our vacations a little slower and one or two evenings in the hot tub would have been nice. However, they do S'Mores by the pool on Friday & Saturday nights and that was great for the kids! We also had a fire-alarm go off at 1:30am one night and we were on the 8th floor. We grabbed our sleeping kids and ran to the stairwell. The evacuation was cleared quickly by the fire department, then people started going back into the hotel but there was no real explanation as to what exactly happened. In the future, it would be nice to have a staff member answering questions by the back entrance. We still don't even know what really happened. Read less
This hotel has become our go to place when taking the grandkids to Disneyland. It is very quite, clean and the staff is first class. Carly works the front desk and I'll wait for her to be free to... Read more check us in. She is that good. During the last trip it was the granddaughter's 7th birthday. Carly made up a gift basket for her and had it waiting in the room when we returned from dinner. It is a ten minute walk to Disneyland from the hotel. We leave our car in the hotel parking lot and pick it up the last day. Yes, there is a resort fee and a parking fee. However, this is very common for hotels in this area. Read less
We stayed here 2/25-2/27/15. The hotel was clean, and the staff was courteous. It took us almost 30 minutes to check-in. They had 1 desk person working when we arrived. Our room was nice, but nothing... Read more out of the ordinary. There are no drawers to put clothes in, just a free standing closet with one shelf. I'm pretty sure the hotel does not believe in fabric softener. The sheets were scratchy, clean, but scratchy. The towels were scratchy too. The bed was ok. I've slept in worse. Noise was a minimum even though we were on the ground floor facing the street. The room we had had two doors that could connect to the rooms on either side of us. One of them moved every time the family next door used their room door. It opened enough to make it sound like someone had opened our door. Not very reassuring at 3am when you're woken from a sound sleep to the sound of a door shutting. LOL One last thing, the water pressure is incredibly low. Taking a shower took forever mainly because there's not enough water coming out of the shower head to rinse the soap out of long hair. There is an ART stop right out front. We almost used it but the only place to get information was from the front desk. At 9am on Thursday morning there was again a long line of people waiting to check in or check out and only one person behind the counter. Their parking fee is steep and their trees dripped on the car making a mess. If you are young and have lots of energy, you can walk to the park. For those of us that don't fit that qualification, it's a little too far. I don't think I would stay here again. There are other places in the same price range that are closer. When I think of Red Lion I think of a better than average hotel. This one didn't seem a whole lot different than staying in a Quality Inn or Comfort Inn. Why pay for the fancy name when you can get the same amenities cheaper somewhere else, and not have to pay for parking to boot! Read less
