WEATHER HERE

Recently renovated, the Red Lion offers a very comfortable standard of accommodation and a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere just a stone’s throw from Anaheim’s myriad of attractions. Comprised of two buildings, divided by a garden area. Red's Pasta Lounge is open daily and serves a hearty buffet breakfast to get your day off to just the right start. It’s also a great place for dinner with plenty of traditional American charm. For pre-dinner drinks, look no further than Red's Pasta Lounge. If you’ve still got some energy left after a day at the theme parks, splash about for a bit in the large outdoor heated swimming pool with open fire pits. There’s also a fitness centre if you’re keen to keep in shape plus a spacious sundeck for making the most of that brilliant Californian weather.

After a long drive we got to the hotel around 2:45 and the staff told us we couldn't check in until 3:00. Us and 3 other families had to wait in the tiny lobby until 3 and the rooms were still not... Read more ready until 3:20! The rooms had the old window air conditioner so the rooms felt muggy. The beds are super hard. Anytime we called the front desk for anything like coffee, they told us to come down instead of having someone bring it to us. The shower was also impossible to turn on because the faucet was old and stuck. The back door was broken so anyone can just walk in no hotel key needed. And one of the elevators by our room was broken. We will never stay here again. Read less

We stayed at this hotel in March 2014. We had two rooms with 4 adults and 4 kids, total. The hotel is in a good location for Disneyland. It is a walkable distance, although we still drove and... Read more parked at the Disney lot. You can use the Toy Story parking that is immediately next door to the hotel, which is quite convenient. I have heard others say they were able to just walk into the TS parking and catch the shuttle to Disneyland (free), but we didn't try it. The parking at the hotel is $14/night, so be aware of that. Now, for the hotel itself... The check-in staff was very courteous. They had us sign up for the hotel's frequent stay program, which got us a few free bottles of water. We were given adjacent rooms, although not connecting (not sure if they have connecting rooms or if there just weren't any available). The rooms were nice enough, if somewhat dark. They were on the small side. They were clean, which is important. They main drawback was the in-room a/c unit which ran all night and was pretty loud. This alone would keep me from staying here again. We got a great deal on Hotwire, so I can't complain too much, but I doubt I would pay the full rates that I have seen for this hotel. So, in short, if you get a good deal this hotel is fine, but there are better options for the regular price. Read less
