TripAdvisor Traveller Rating:
We stayed there on January 1st Week. The location is excellent. Two blocks near Macy, a subway station on the corner and just a few blocks from Madison Square, Empire State and Time Square. The Comfort Inn is as advertised. The room does the job, free wifi internet, all that stuff. The heater in our room was loud at times (creaks, groans etc) however we chose to live with it rather... Read more than complain as it wasn't a real concern for us. Front desk staff were helpful, I would call them "New York style" people in so much that they were helpful and polite, but didn't exactly do cartwheels when you walked through the door, but I'm not about to mark the hotel down because they didn't launch fireworks when I walked through the door. There is only one thing I will say that I found annoying and that's the lift. The lift is a slow, lethargic 1000 year old nugget. If I wasn't on the 14th floor, I would never have used it as it was faster to take the stairs up or down. It does the job, but not with any flair. Read less

Read more . Good choice of food for breakfast we usually ate at about 8.30 or earlier. The free coffee and tea in the lobby is a must. On the doorstep with many of the main attractions all in walking distance. Short walk to the subway. The staff were all very helpful especially as we arrived early and were able to place our luggage in one of our rooms so that we could begin exploring wonderful New York. Also thanks to Matthew for assisting us with our taxi on our last day. We would recommend this hotel - we found it hard to believe its classed as a budget hotel! We had a wonderful holiday. Read less
