Pre-paid for hotel stay. At check-in, I was told that I had a $30 credit per day to use at restaurants in the hotel. Yes, they removed the $30 cost after I made those purchases. But there was a $34 per day "destination fee" that I was not aware of. I felt deceived by the costs. This was pre-paid and then they forced me to pay this extra… Read more

Shame on you Marriott for taking over the Sheraton and not keeping up with your image. Have you even noticed your terrible hotel the Sheraton in Times Square? I have no choice but to stay here when I am in town because I'm on business and hopefully with enough of us employees complaining how terrible this place is our company will move us to another property. Firstly, as a repeat client I have noticed an extreme change in the staff behind the desks. The clerks attire were more professional looking. Not anymore. They look like they just came in off the street. My first impression was, What happened?? Secondly this place is old and falling apart. Neglected I must say. The lobby is filled with hundreds of tourists and you cannot make it through the crowd with your bags along with the extreme noise. How's that after a long day of work. Now you go to your room to find out that your neighbors are throwing a party and doors are slamming with no respect or concern for other guests trying to get to sleep once again after a long day at work. You call downstairs. Sometimes they don't answer the phone, maybe they are busy and maybe they are not it doesn't matter because they are going to do nothing about it. They staff is not accomodating whatsoever. Lastly, Housekeeping! Oh goodness, have they no respect for guests trying to sleep or rest? They are slamming doors and yelling to each other from room to room. In conclusion. I'm sure these rooms cost a pretty penny because of location but let me tell you to go somewhere else. It's not worth it. Rooms are small and in need of repair. Sheraton. Please stop replying with your apologies to your guests. They don't want to hear it just fix the problems will you? Read less

My review will be very unhappy. We are a group of doctors from Ukraine who came to New York for an internship. My review will be very unhappy. We are a group of doctors from Ukraine who came to New York for an internship. We booked a room at the Sheraton Hotel a month before arrival through booking and paid about 1,400 dollars for accommodation from 04/05/2024 to 04/09/2024. Having covered the road in 30 hours from Ukraine, due to the impossibility of exact check-in hours, we arrived at 6 a.m. on April 6, 2024. Having paid for the room, we were refused check-in due to the fact that we did not warn that we would be checking in 10 hours later. I'm sorry, but it is impossible to plan an ideal route from Ukraine, because of the war and problems on the border. Only after long conversations with the manager, we were checked into the rooms and told that everything was paid for. The most interesting thing started later. Within two days, without warning, they took $450 as a deposit. No one warned about this either. The most interesting thing was after checking out of the hotel, when we received notifications on two cards about the desire to withdraw payment from two cards for $1,000. Nobody warned about it. And what kind of payment is this. We are in the midst of a war, these are huge sums for us. We came as doctors to gain experience and instead received only problems. Read less

This has to be one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in! The rooms are small and the bed was terrible. I'm a Bonvoy Lifetime Elite Member and can't believe Marriott hasn't done anything to update the place. The doors were peeling off at the bottom. The bed made a clinking noise whenever you sat on it and the Starbucks forgot my order. Never… Read more
