Notes about Costs
The prices applicable to all Holidays including supplements and any extra charges
are contained within this web site. The number of rooms and flight seats available
may be capacity controlled therefore the prices shown on this website are subject
to availability. Package Prices are per person. Our Travel consultants will
be happy to assist with calculations of costs. The price shown on the Confirmation
Invoice/Statement is Final. All flight times and routings quoted are subject
to change without notice.
Price accuracy
We take great care in checking all our prices. Should any error have arisen
we will advise you before you receive your first invoice. You then have the
option of accepting the new price or not (it may be lower!)
Virgin's unpackaged costing policy
We pride ourselves in our flexibility. Therefore, you can mix and match hotels
contained on this website to make up your own combinations. Please call our
Telesales Team on 0871 222 5825 for an individual costing. Our policy
is to base the price on the first hotel in the itinerary, unless the first
hotel is less than a 7-night duration (or less than 3 nights in New York or
Boston), then we would base the cost on a Fly Drive. You must then add to ALL
unpackaged costings, the extra night hotel rates, single supplements, internal
flights, car hire, transfers, etc as applicable.
Your holiday price includes...
Return Economy Class air travel by scheduled flight, UK departure tax and
US departure tax. Onward economy air connections where applicable. Baggage
allowance (23kg per person on South African, Australian and Asian flights and
2 pieces up to 23kg per piece per person on Transatlantic and Caribbean flights
on board Virgin Atlantic). IMPORTANT - The weight allowance of the 2 pieces
cannot be combined. All indivisual pieces exceeding 23kg will be charged as
excess baggage), plus one piece of hand baggage (5kg) for essential items only.
If you are flying with another airline please check the baggage allowance as
it may differ from Virgin Atlantic. Oversize items such as surfboards, will
be charged for by the airline and the local transfer company. Infants receive
NO baggage allowance and may have to travel on laps on transfers unless an
additional seat is purchased.

Insurance (VERY IMPORTANT)
You MUST, repeat MUST have proper Travel Insurance. We offer excellent
insurance which ensures peace of mind. If you pay the Premium at the
time you book then it covers you for loss of Deposit or any Charges if you
had to cancel your Holiday for circumstances of illness for example.
Booking Procedure
When you make your booking we will send you an invoice showing the details
of your holiday and charges and enclosing a summary of your insurance policy
(if you have taken ours). If you agree these, the balance should be paid 8
weeks before departure (unless otherwise stipulated). After we have received
payment of the balance and approximately 14 days before departure, air tickets,
travel information, joining instructions, luggage labels and service vouchers
will be sent to you or your travel agent. Bookings made 8 weeks or less to
the departure date must be paid for at time of booking the reservation.
Where accommodation or flights are subject to request, full payment must be
made and we endeavour to have an answer within 48 hours of the request being
received.
Payments made to Virgin Holidays by credit card will incur a charge of 1.5%
on the total value of your holiday.
Changes by you
If we are able to make the requested change by you, an amendment fee of £25
per person named will be made to cover administration costs. However, the amendment
fees charged by our suppliers may be higher and we reserve the right to pass
such fees on.
Alternative Airport Charges
If you book an 'independent' itinerary and fly in and out of different airports
(except within Florida), a supplement is payable from £30 per person.
Independent itinerary charge
We provide Package Holidays. We do NOT sell Flight Only. Because we have
commitments to our Hotels, Car Hire Companies and other Suppliers we have decided
to make a flat charge of £30 per person for any period of 7 nights or
more spent on holiday not using any of our services (excluding infants). FOR
EXAMPLE you spend a week at one of our Hotels, but then decide to spend a week
doing your own thing with new love Sam in Miami, we will charge you £30
for that week. You will soon realise that it is cheaper to keep your car for
that week!
Additional Room Charges
Please be aware that some hotels may charge a small fee per room per day for
some services - e.g. daily phone charge, safety deposit box.
Your holiday price does not include...
... Insurance.
Any items, Extras or Services of a Personal Nature. Food and Drink (unless
applicable and specified). Airport Taxes and Charges at Foreign Airports (EXCEPT
USA) imposed from time of booking. Fuel surcharge (this will only be added
at the time of booking).
Energy Surcharges
Please be aware that some States in the USA experience random ‘Energy’ problems
and hotels may, from time to time, charge a nominal daily fee to your room
bill to cover their additional costs for power. Such charges incurred are non-refundable
and payable locally.
Surcharge Promise
When you have confirmed your Holiday Booking and paid your deposit the total
cost of your holiday will not normally be subject to any surcharges. We do
point out, however, that we reserve the right to increase or decrease prices
due to changes in transportation (fuel) costs, taxes or fluctuation in exchange
rates. When any increase applies for any of the foregoing reasons we will absorb
the first 2% of such increase to the basic holiday cost excluding any insurance
premiums and any amendment charges. We shall not, however, impose any surcharges
on the cost of your holiday less than 30 days before departure.
Credit cards
It is standard practice worldwide for a hotel to ask for a credit card imprint
to cover incidentals like room service, telephone calls or other hotel services
being charged to your room. Most hotels will obtain authorisation on the required
amount, which can range from $50 to $350 per room per night, subject to the
range of chargeable activities offered. Please remember, this will reduce the
overall credit limit on your card so it's best to use a card with a high limit
so that you don't encounter any problems when you're out shopping! If you do
not have a card, and wish to use the charging facility, a cash deposit will
be required.
Alternative airport charge
Applies if you book an 'Independent' itinerary and fly in and out of different
airports. The charge is £30 per person.
Pricing conditions
Prices are per person based on a minimum of 2 adults (unless where stated)
sharing a room. Prices include car hire or transfers (see individual hotel
price panel). Where indicated, package prices for Universal Orlando® hotels
include length of stay passes to the relevant theme parks.
Infants
(ages 0-1) pay a flat price of £99. Please note that they share a flight
seat with parent/guardian. You may request a SkyCot at the time of booking
(for those under 12 months) - limited availablity. Should your infant celebrate
their 2nd birthday whilst on holiday, a combined infant and child price will
apply. Infants are not provided with any meals on the aircraft or in hotels.
A small charge may apply locally for a cot.
Child Prices
Applicable for ages 2-11 when sharing a room with a minimum of 2 adults. Child
Prices are for length of stay unless otherwise stated (additional charges where
applicable are listed within hotel price text).
Teen Prices
Applicable in Florida (ages 12-16) when sharing a room with a minimum 2 adults.
In general, teen prices are for length of stay (additional charges where applicable
are listed within hotel price panel).
3rd/4th Adult Sharing
These price discounts (where quoted) are quoted either per adult per night
or shown as fixed discounts for the duration of stay. Valid for 3rd and 4th
adult only.
Extra Night prices
Allow you the flexibility to create your own holiday. The extra night prices
are not valid for accommodation-only bookings. prices are quoted per person
per night and DO NOT include car hire or transfers.
Single Supplements
Prices are quoted per person per night. See selected 'Single' Parent Hotels
where single supplements on package holidays only do not apply.
Flydrive Prices
Per person £19 Single Supplement applies.
Houses, Suites and Apartments
Prices are quoted as accommodation only, Please aa relevant flydrive prices
to package (minimum saty 7 nights).
Multi-Centres
Prices quoted per person based on 2 adults sharing a room.
Price match guarantee
At Virgin Holidays we’re dedicated to providing the best value-for-money
holidays. We constantly monitor our prices and those of other tour operators
to ensure that our prices are the best available. If, after booking your holiday
with us, you can supply a copy of a brochure, or a written quote from any other
ABTA Tour Operator holding an ATOL licence, offering an identical holiday which
is available for the same dates at a lower price than you have paid us, we
will either match the lower price, or offer you a full refund of all monies
paid and cancel your reservation, subject to the following conditions:
- The holiday must be for the same number of people, to the same destination,
accommodation, room type and board basis. It must be for the same departure
date and duration, and feature the same flights and airline as those offered
by us. If car hire is included in the package, the car size must be the same.
This guarantee applies to brochure packages only. It excludes special offers,
FREE child places, flydrives, late availability offers (within 12 weeks of
departure), specific Travel Agent offers, group booking discounts, FREE add-ons,
insurance premiums and credit card surcharges.
- If you are able to find exactly the same holiday at a lower price than
booked from this brochure, please supply proof of the other holiday and its
availability within 14 days of confirming your holiday with us. Write to

Attraction ticket lowest price guarantee
If, within 14 days of booking your Virgin Holidays’ package holiday with
an attraction ticket, you find the identical attraction ticket with another UK
ABTA/ATOL Ticket Broker, Tour Operator or Travel Agent at a lower price, we will
match that price. This price guarantee applies to WALT DISNEY WORLD tickets,
Orlando FlexTickets™, Universal Orlando® Resort, Busch Gardens® and
SeaWorld® tickets ONLY and is not valid on any other tickets. This guarantee
only applies to attraction tickets booked at the time of making your holiday
reservation and does not apply to tickets subsequently added onto your booking.
The lower price tickets must be available to book, in order for us to be able
to match that price. In order to qualify for this offer, you must submit in writing,
your claim within 14 days of making your package holiday booking.

Unused Services
Please note that we do NOT refund unused services except at the discretion
of the directors of the Company. Any voluntary changes made by yourselves
whilst on holiday will incur additional charges.
