Delayed Departure
Our holidays are based on scheduled flights. It is Virgin Atlantic's responsibility to assist all passengers in the event of a delay or re-scheduling. However, Virgin Holidays Staff will be on hand to provide assistance and information whenever possible. We provide free delayed departure insurance when you take our insurance policy. With any prolonged delay, the airline will provide meals and accommodation where necessary.
Don't Forget... PASSPORTS!
You must have a FULL and VALID passport to visit the USA. It must be valid for 90 days! If your passport shows you are a British or Irish citizen you do not usually need a Visa* but can use the 'Visa Waiver Scheme' (forms supplied at airport or on the flight).If you have a passport showing you are a British subject you will need a visa! This particularly applies if you are Irish but have a British subject passport!
In both cases you must check with the US Embassy of nearest Consulate. All other passport holders in doubt should check with a US Embassy or Consulate. All children who are not already included on a valid passport must have their own passport. This includes new born babies and all children up to the age of 16. Children aged sixteen or over must have their own passport.
* Please note that under certain circumstances (e.g. if you have a criminal record), you will need a visa!
All the above is very important because if you turn up for one of our flights with an invalid passport or no Visa when you need one we will be very sympathetic... but you cannot board the flight!
