Celeb spotting in the Caribbean!Celeb spotting in the Caribbean!

By Abigail Cattell

The Caribbean is awash with A-list celebs jetting in to spend time on the region's sun-soaked beaches. So if you want to rub shoulders with the likes of Kate Moss, Wayne Rooney or Rihanna, here's how!

UK celebrity chef Gary Rhodes liked Grenada so much he opened a restaurant here! It's situated at the Calabash Hotel and Villas and uses fresh, local ingredients in an array of inventive dishes. If a celebrity is visiting Grenada, chances are they'll be coming here to dine one evening so you might be lucky!
Downmarket dining: American talkshow host and home cookery legend Martha Stewart dropped in by helicopter to buy spices in Grenada and then dined at simple backstreet restaurant Nutmeg in St Georges. So if you want to feast like a celeb at bargain prices, here's the place to head for!
Spotted: When she's not partying in St John's Wood, London, Kate Moss has been known to chill out on Grenada.

Ok, we're not promising anything, but Amy Winehouse has been living in St Lucia for the past six months (who wouldn't want to!?) and we reckon she'd be happy to give you a few pointers if you buy her a drink! The Back to Black star enjoys frequenting the local beaches during the day and also performed at St Lucia's jazz festival back in May.
Dance the night away: The Friday night Fish Fry in traditional fishing village Anse La Ray is a great way to mingle with her locals, drink some punchy rum cocktails and boogie to the local calypso and reggae. Who knows, you might enjoy a celebrity encounter!
Spotted: Harrison Ford and Nicolas Cage both have holiday homes on St Lucia

Secluded, exclusive and positively awash with luxury resorts, gourmet restaurants and designer boutiques, it's no wonder that the tiny French island of St Barths is so popular with celebrity crème de la crème. Richard Gere, Uma Thurman and Jon Bon Jovi are all big fans of this seductive, palm-fringed isle. Get there by hopping on a ferry from St Martin for a celeb-spotting day trip!
Shop till you drop: Even celebs like a bargain so you may well bump into someone super-famous as you browse the duty-free designer shops in capital Gustavia or swanky resort, St Jean. The streets that span off Gustavia harbour's promenade are lined with posh boutiques with a particular emphasis on French and Italian labels - Hermes, Armani, Cartier, Prada and Lacoste are just a few of the international labels you'll find as you stroll around the streets of Gustavia.
Spotted: Daniel Craig hanging out on Petit Cul de Sac and Grande Saline beaches.

Barbados

The football season has ended and our beloved super strikers are whisking their WAGs off for a well-earned break to spend some of their squillions of pounds. Wayne and pregnant wife Coleen jetted off to their favourite Caribbean island, Barbados, to hang out at their £5 million home near the exclusive Sandy Lane hotel on the popular west coast.
Going for goal: All the beaches in Barbados are public space, so while hotels might make it tricky to access a beach, once you're on it, you can stay! The public entrance is just south of the hotel off Highway 1A. Stay at the Almond Beach Club and you just need to stroll down the beach to Sandy Lane!
Spotted: Singer Rihanna showing new pal Katy Perry around her home.
