Customer Comments
Here are some of our happy customer comments:
Kim Nye travelled with Virgin Holidays to the Coconut Bay Resort, St Lucia in October 2007:
'I would like to thank you all for your help, I can't praise your company
enough for recognising the difficulties involved when travelling with a child
with disabilities and for making the journey as stress free and pleasant as
possible.'
Toyah Wordsworth travelled on the Accessible Africa tour in March 2007:
'I recently went on the above tour and I had a brilliant time, I was very impressed with everything there, from the wheelchair access to the friendly, helpful tour guide 'Alfie'. I loved every minute of it, it was an experience of a lifetime and one I shall not forget.
I couldn't believe my luck when I found this tour in the Virgin Holidays Brochure, because usually I have to go through a specialist holiday company that deals with holidays for disabled people and charge more than double the price.'
Mr and Mrs White travelled to New York in January 2008
'Overall, all of the Virgin staff, from you helping us to organise the trip, to the staff at the airport and the cabin crew, everyone was extremely helpful. We were very pleased with the accessibility of everything you organsied for us. The hotel and taxi were both excellent. We would definitely choose to travel with Virgin again. The extra access information and assistance you offer us as disabled travellers is invaluable.'
Mr and Mrs White stayed at the Westin Hotel in New York
'The hotel was as described. It was wheelchair accessible and had all the facilities we requested in the room. The roll-in shower was absolutely fine. A large plastic chair was supplied on request to use in the shower. This had a wider than usual seat width so was wasy to transfer onto and had height adjustable legs so it could be adjusted for different users. The only comment I would say about the room which might be useful information for other people is that the bed was wuite a bit higher than a standard bed. Although we managed, it was quite difficult to get onto the bed. Some people may not be able to transfer onto this height of bed.'
