Questions concerning payment of your holiday.

Q. How much is the deposit?

A. We need a deposit of £175.00 per person (this includes any children on your booking) and can be made by credit or debit card at the time of booking in order to secure your travel arrangements. If you are adding a wedding, congratulations! We will need a non- refundable deposit of £100.00 to secure this for you

Q. What payment methods do you accept?

A. We accept 4 different payment methods:
  1. Credit or Debit card
  2. Bank transfer
  3. Direct Debit
  4. Cheque
  1. You will need to pay your deposit by debit or credit card when you book your holiday with us. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Maestro, Visa Debit, Solo and Visa Electron. Please note for payment by credit card there is a surcharge of 2.5% - there is no charge for debit cards. This will be automatically added to the deposit amount required.
  2. If you wish to pay for your holiday by bank transfer, our account details are below:

    If you could make sure you put your booking reference in the reference field so we can allocate your payment to your holiday booking.
  3. If you would like to set up an installment plan to pay for your holiday, please click here. We let you decide how much you would like to pay and when you want to pay it. As long as the payments are at least £25, you can pay varying amounts throughout the month in order to clear your balance. You will be asked to complete a direct debit mandate and a schedule of payments.
    Once you’ve filled this in, pop it in the post to Virgin Holidays, The Accounts Receivable Team, The Galleria, Station Road, Crawley, RH10 1WW.
  4. Finally, if you wish to pay by cheque, please send to the above address. Cheques should be made payable to Virgin Holidays Limited with the booking reference written on the back.

Q. Can I use Virgin Holidays vouchers to pay for my holiday?

A. Yes you can!
You can use them to pay the balance of your holiday, and are really handy to give as birthday or wedding gifts. Simply send them in to Virgin Holidays, Accounts Receivable Team, The Galleria, Station Rd, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 1WW together with your booking reference.

Q. When is the remaining balance due for a Virgin Holiday?

A. The full balance is required 12 weeks before departure. However, if travel is within 12 weeks of making your booking, payment is required in full when you book the holiday.

Q. How can I pay when the balance of my holiday is due?

A.

You can pay by debit or credit card over the telephone by calling 0844 573 0088. Please note, there is a 2.5% charge on all credit card payments.

You can also pay your balance off online, or set-up a direct debit by clicking here.
Alternatively you can send us a cheque made payable to Virgin Holidays Ltd, to Credit Control The Accounts Receivable Team, Virgin Holidays, The Galleria, Station Road, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 1WW.

Finally, you can pay via bank transfer into the Virgin Holidays account.

Q. When can I telephone with my payment details?

A. Our automated payment line is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Please call 0207 107 3080 to pay via credit / debit card.

Q. Are my details secure online?

A. Yes. Virgin Holidays is committed to protecting your privacy online. We will not share your personal information without your consent unless when required by law. Your credit card details are secure online as we use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) to encrypt your details as they are being sent back and forth across the internet.

Q. Will I get a receipt for my payment?

A. You can request a revised invoice when making your payment

Q. What if I do not agree with the settlement amount or have a query on the costing of my booking?

Q. What if I want to add another item to my holiday?

A. Please contact our Service Team on 0844 557 8830.

Q. What if I require a confirmation invoice prior to making my settlement?

A. You can e-mail us at invoice@virginholidays.com with your booking reference and name.

Q. What should I do if I want to cancel my holiday?

A. You can either call us on 0844 557 4002, e-mail cancel@virginholidays.com,or write to us at Virgin Holidays Ltd, Accounts Department, Virgin Holidays, the Galleria, Station Road, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 1WW.

Q. When are the holiday vouchers and other tickets sent out?

A. Travel documents are sent approximately 14 days prior to the departure date. Please note that there may be a slight delay for more complex bookings (e.g. bookings with internal flights, cruise bookings, etc.). For bookings made within 7 days of travel, tickets will be available for collection from the airport of departure.

Q. Am I able to make Direct Debit payments prior to the balance due date of my holiday?

A. Yes, Virgin Holidays are able to allow you to make Direct Debit payments prior to your balance due date. Please see our Direct Debit FAQ's for more infomation.

Q. Can I use my airmiles to book a Virgin Holiday?

A. Yes you can! Flying Club vouchers can be used towards a Virgin Holidays package that includes Virgin Atlantic flights and accommodation. The booking must be made directly with us, so please call 0844 557 4008 and advise one of our sales consultants that you wish to pay with Flying Club vouchers.

Once the VA Flying Club have converted your airmiles into vouchers, please send them in to mailto:flyingclubvouchers@virginholidays.com.
Please note, vouchers take 7 – 10 working days to be applied to your booking.

Q. I am having problems using my Maestro card when paying for my holiday?

A. For Maestro card issue numbers starting in zero, please enter single digit e.g. for "03" enter "3".

Q. When trying to pay my balance off online I got an error message: THIS IS AN AGENT BOOKING - what does this mean?

A. Our online payment facility is only available for direct bookings. If you have booked your holiday through a travel agency you will need to contact them to pay your balance off. If you have not booked your holiday through a travel agency and are still receiving this error message, call us on 0844 573 0088 with your booking reference number and we will look into this for you.

Q. When trying to pay my balance off online I got an error message: POSTCODE DOES NOT MATCH - what does this mean?

A. Please ensure you are entering your postcode correctly. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact our call centre on 0844 557 3890 who will be happy to help you.

Q. Do I need to pay the Air Passenger Duty?

A.

Your holiday prices includes the increased government tax (APD). This increased tax charge will show as a separate line item on your invoice. Therefore you will not be required to pay at the airport.

Q. Can I pay my balance in one of your retail concessions?

A. Yes you can! Pop along to any of our retail concessions, located in various Debenhams, House of Fraser, and Tesco stores to pay your holiday balance off.

Q. Do you accept The Virgin Voucher on holiday bookings?

A. Yes we do!
They can be used on accommodation only, and holiday packages booked directly with Virgin Holidays.
There are however a few terms and conditions surrounding them!
They cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts or promotions and cannot be used to pay the deposit of your holiday.
