First things first - congratulations! You and your partner have just made one
of the biggest decisions of your lives, and are now about to plan one of the
most memorable days of it!
Some people thrive on the idea of planning a wedding, others dread the thought...
but whichever type of planner you are, we want to make sure your special day
goes without any hitches. So here are a few hints, tips and deadlines which
should help you get through the months ahead...
Getting Married Abroad
By deciding to get married abroad, straight away you have reduced the amount
of stress and excess planning required. Not only will our dedicated Weddings
Team be there for you every step of the way in the UK, but the majority of our
wedding locations and venues employ expert wedding co-ordinators to help you
when you arrive in resort.
Where to choose?
The first thing you need to decide is where you would like to get married.
We offer a vast selection of venues, from idyllic beach weddings in the Indian
Ocean to 3-min hitch 'n' go ceremonies in New York.

Wedding Guests
You will then need to think about the size of your wedding party. If you're
planning to invite all your family and close friends, bear in mind that some
venues have a restriction on party sizes and some hotels charge a supplement
for non-resident guests to attend the wedding.
How do I book?
As soon as you have chosen your ideal wedding venue, we recommend that you
book your holiday and request your preferred wedding date straight away (up
to a year in advance if possible). This will help ensure you get your preferred
date (and time if required).
You will need to book your holiday through our Call Centre on 0844
557 4010 (if you can provide the names of all the wedding party at
the time of booking, this will make things easier, but extra guests can be added
at a later stage if required). A request will then be put directly through to
our Weddings team, a dedicated member of which will send you an initial contact
letter introducing themselves. It usually takes between 10-14 days to receive
confirmation of your wedding date - sometimes your ideal date may not be available
(many hotels and venues restrict the number of weddings that may take place
on any one day), so you may be asked for an alternative date at the time of
booking.
Once your wedding has been confirmed, you can relax and let us take care of
the details. We do recommend you read the 'frequently
asked questions' and also take a look at the 'dates
for the diary' both of which should help to provide a guide to stress-free
planning!
