Florida for couples

Florida for couples

Top destinations in Florida for couples

Florida has everything (apart from you of course, but we're working on that bit). It's the ideal destination for couples. There's the beach, sports, a bit of shopping, culture and some stunning places to spend your time. But with Virgin Holidays we're all about giving you something a little different.

There's our luxury accommodation, the best locations, a few treats thrown in along the way, and of course a little pampering. Not just back to yourself, back to your best; together in the sunshine.

The best of the best - Miami

We're going to Miami! Yes we are, and you're coming with us. It's enough to make Will Smith don those snazzy white trousers again. When holidaying in the Sunshine State, it's impossible to look past Miami, with destinations including South Beach and Fort Lauderdale.

Miami beach

South Beach is full of glitz, glam, top nightlife and art deco masterpieces, while Fort Lauderdale is famous for its beaches, arts, culture and events, as well as being the ideal spot to harness your inner explorer with a trip to the Everglades.

The best of the best - Key West

Key West would never forgive us if you didn't come. Have you seen the pictures? We've got a couple here at hand. You really have to see it to believe it. We've told the locals you're coming. They're getting the welcome party ready.

Key West

Here you can rediscover the explorer in you with some snorkelling or diving below the ocean surface. There's tropical fish, turtles, and even an underwater statue arms open welcoming you to this underwater playground. Did someone say a romantic boat trip? It could be the Key (sorry, we're just getting excited) to the trip of a lifetime.

The best of the best - Naples

What you need to work on your handicap? With that swing, we don't believe you. And neither does Tiger, but it's up to you. Naples has some of the best golf courses in the region, all awaiting your hole in one. It's also an ideal relaxing retreat.

You can eat in one of the many amazing restaurants, spend a little time shopping and enjoy the calm gentle waves at one of the many beaches. It's paradise.

Top things to see and do in Florida

It's beach time. It just wouldn't be a trip to Florida without some time spent in the sand. There's the hip retreat of South Beach, with its art deco architecture, sandy shores, glistening ocean and eye candy – with that bronzed bod you'll fit right it!

For the paradise retreat that the two of you deserve head to Fort Zachary Taylor State Park in Key West to relax in the sugary sand and tranquil waters. According to one old crooner, it's the place that changes latitudes and attitudes. Spending a little time here, you'll know exactly what he was talking about. It's almost as if this place was created just for the two of you. For that moment, to be remembered forever. Too cheesy? Not when we know you're nearly here.

There's also NaplesClearwater Beach (clue's in the name) and Palm Beach; well that's not just it, but you get the picture. Come on over and we'll show you some hidden treasures.

We've already mentioned Naples, but throughout the state you'll find some quality golf courses all waiting for you to show us how it's done.

Whether Orlando or Palm Beach, the greens will be crisp and true; like your swing.

You don't need anything to perfect your style. We saw that the second you stepped off the plane. But you may as well let the shops in Florida tempt you with their wares.

Whether Miami, Orlando, or Naples, the shopping streets are prepping for your arrival.

Cruise & Stay

Why be selfish with yourself? You've let Florida have a bit of the action, why not let the Caribbean have some too.

Cruise & Stay

Stay with us in the Sunshine State before or after your Caribbean cruise with us, and lets us pamper you in paradise.

We continue to review this and working to open up these options to more customers. In the meantime check out our FAQs to see if this can help answer any immediate questions.

Rest assured; we will notify you as soon as we know if your holiday has been affected by email.

Payment flexibility

Don’t worry if you’ve missed a payment or just need a little more time to pay; we have options available to help you. If your holiday is going ahead as planned, you can continue to pay for your holiday in Manage my booking, even if travelling in less than 12 weeks. If you’re unsure, you can delay any additional payments by choosing a new time to travel by requesting a call back in Manage My booking for one of our team to look at options. If your holiday is more than 6 months away, you may wish to set up a Direct Debit to spread the cost. This can be arranged whilst rebooking or afterwards in Manage my booking.

We're flexible with your holiday plans

We understand that you may wish to change your holiday plans and we appreciate the need for flexibility.

We'll be in touch by email letting you know how to register to change your holiday plans. You can also log into Manage my booking to find the details there.

You're holiday is going ahead as planned

If we haven’t notified you of any changes, your holiday will be going ahead as planned but if you prefer to move your holiday to a later time we can help. You can call our team on 0344 472 9499 who can look at options for you.

Thank you for your patience and understanding

Payments are being prioritised based on when the request was made, working in order from March 2020 onwards. We will always try to process refunds at the earliest opportunity, for requests before August our maximum timeframe is 120 days. As we are steadily reducing the maximum processing time for each new request, for refund requests made in August, we expect the maximum processing time to be 80 days, from the date the refund is requested. For those requesting a refund in September, we expect it to be processed within a maximum of 60 days, and then reduce to 30 days for refunds requested in October, before returning to normal levels.

We'll be in touch soon

To finalise the amendment, one of our customer advisors will phone you. We need to work through amend requests in departure date order so we can prioritise those with the most imminent travel plans, so you may have a longer wait than usual until we’re able to ring you back. We will help everyone that wants to move their holiday.

I returned early from holiday and have further questions?

You can contact our team by emailing to discuss options on unused portions of your holiday. If you need to contact our team about amending an existing holiday or requesting a refund please log in to manage my booking.
