A formidable institution right in the heart of the entertainment district. Not cosy or intimate, but the rooms and public areas spacious and comfortable. Looks like prices gyrate wildly given what we paid and now a month later. Breakfast buffet included and something for everyone; none of the problems reported by others. Oddly, the main… Read more
A formidable institution right in the heart of the entertainment district. Not cosy or intimate, but the rooms and public areas spacious and comfortable. Looks like prices gyrate wildly given what we paid and now a month later. Breakfast buffet included and something for everyone; none of the problems reported by others. Oddly, the main restaurant seems to only operate on certain days, so when not open the only option is the lounge: As an American it has the feeling of a Cheesecake Factory. Food not bad, but a limited menu and surprised that was the only choice (we were exhausted and didn't feel like going out). I'd be surprised if there were 45 better hotels in Cape Town, according to TA ranking. Read less

I enjoyed the hotel, although it is one of those hotels with many rooms, the staff is well prepared to serve us all. The breakfast was not full at all, and the bar was very good. The ballet service could use some improvements and the rooms coise use some upgrade. The shower is just to low, I have 1,87m and the shower was at my neck height.

We found staff to be extremely helpful, friendly and with a keen eye for detail. Breakfasts were very tasty with a great selection for everyone. Rooms are very spacious with generous bathrooms. We also had a rental minibus and the valet parking was really helpful after a long day out sightseeing. I would highly recommend the Table Bay to anyone visiting Cape Town! Read less

I can highly recommend the Table bay, it has the most wonderful position right on the harbour. You can sit and watch the seals bask on the pier. The roots are large and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast is a veritable feast that caters to all tastes. Staff is extremely helpful and knowledgable. I broke the lock on my suitcase and they were so helpful and got it fixed for me in no time. Positioned as it is gives you walking access to all that Victoria and Alfred Waterfront has to offer. It is a wonderful spot for a stroll in the evening and from where to watch Table Mountain in all the different light over the course of the day. Read less
