Luxury Double Rooms with Sea View have an outdoor seating area and sleep maximum 2 adults.

What a truly perfect hotel. We stayed for 1 night during our honeymoon to South Africa. The hotel is gorgeous, modern, airy & clean. We were immediately welcomed by very kind staff who helped with our luggage and took us to reception where we were offered homemade tea & a refreshing towel. What a truly perfect hotel. We stayed for 1 night during our honeymoon to South Africa. The hotel is gorgeous, modern, airy & clean. We were immediately welcomed by very kind staff who helped with our luggage and took us to reception where we were offered homemade tea & a refreshing towel. The staff very generously upgraded us to a premier suite. We were given a short tour of the hotel, with the lounge airy which was beautiful for relaxing/afternoon tea. We were taken to our room and were completely blown away. It was truly beautiful! A gorgeous sea view, lounge area with large windows looking onto the ocean, large walk in wardrobe. The bedroom was on a mezzanine level, with 2 flights of stairs either side to access. We completely fell in love with the room and wished we were staying longer. We ate out with the hotel, but returned to turn down service of love songs on the tv, lovely towel-art on the bed and a bottle of wine. Breakfast the next day was continental buffet & a la carte. There was ample selection and the dining area is delightful, again with a lovely view. There is a gorgeous walk starting from outside the hotel which takes you along the coast which we walked prior to our departure. We couldn’t recommend the hotel more, it was our favourite hotel on our 4 week honeymoon. The staff were very polite, kind and friendly. We would recommend the hotel to anybody and will definitely return on our next trip to Hermanus. Read less

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location over looking the ocean yet just a few minutes walk to Hermanus centre. We particularly loved our breakfasts outside each morning looking across the lawns and over looking the ocean. We only had breakfasts during our stay and thought the food choices and quality were excellent. We stayed in a suite room which was large and spacious with a huge comfortable bed! No complaints whatsoever with any aspect of this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay and from looking around felt we were staying in the best hotel Hermanus has to offer! It’s pricey but if you want a luxurious hotel in an amazing location, you cannot go wrong with this property! Read less

We have been staying at The Marine for the past 20 years- never again. Housekeeping shoddy with the room not cleaned properly, foul smelling bed linen and tea bags not replensihed. We have been staying at The Marine for the past 20 years- never again. Housekeeping shoddy with the room not cleaned properly, foul smelling bed linen and tea bags not replensihed. We reported this to reception but nothing got rectified. Breakfast buffet has been reduced with few choices , the main restaurant's service was slow and we had to ask the staff to top up wine and three times for more water. The bar staff spent most of their time fishing for gratuities rather than serving drinks. The hotel is looking tired again and is expensive so no longer provides value for money. The man in charge Michel , is a boy doing a man's job who looks like an unmade bed and someone needs to introduce him to deodorant. The hotel is lacking leadership and badly needs a predecessor like Jo Massey to return. The late Mrs Mc Grath must be turning in her grave. Read less

What a stunning hotel. From the car park to reception to the bar to the cleaning staff etc - we only found happy, helpful and people willing to make your day more amazing. Will highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a little more than the norm. Will be back. Great experience

Really enjoyed our one night at The Marine. Lovely big room. Very large and comfortable bed. Generous mini bar plus coffee etc. Dressing table, mirror, nearby plug!! (As any woman will appreciate - this is a rarity!) Very nice breakfast. Delightful staff. Highly recommended.
