Serena Beach Hotel & Spa

Mombasa, Kenya

The hotel

Overlooking the Indian Ocean to the north of Mombasa town, the Serena Beach Resort and Spa is a gorgeous resort, replicating the winding lanes and colourful market places of a traditional 13th century Swahili town. You can dine beneath the stars at the lavishly appointed Fountain Restaurant before enjoying some lively evening entertainment, including floor shows, live music and a disco. The active will be kept more than busy with an exciting range of non-motorised water sports or lounge by the pool, sipping a drink from the swim-up bar. At the heart of our Mombasa beach resort lies the coral-built ‘Fortress of Tranquillity' of the exquisite ‘Maisha' Mind, Body and Spirit Spa.

Nice swimming pool with a view of the Indian Ocean& beautful tropical garden There is a nice spa to relax and be pampered in. The grill restaurant serves excellent dishes including large succulent prawns. The sunset on the Indian Ocean seen from the Captain's table is amazing followed by the rising moon. There is an adorable African Grey parrot near reception to talk to. If lucky, can see Olive Ridley turtles hatching as well. Read less
