Cape Town, South Africa

The hotel

The upmarket ‘Gardens’ district sits at the foot of Table Mountain adjacent to the Company Gardens – an oasis within the CBD and the Parliament buildings. It is a great location choice for a new ‘design’ hotel- a contemporary space stacked with amenities to serve as a great base for work and play with unsurpassed views of Table Mountain. With a décor that is very urban Manhattan it’s unsurprising that a visionary developer from the NYC group was a partner. Although, the Murano Bar is definitely more Vegas like with its 20,000 links Murano chandelier, red drapes, velour banquettes and gilt framed chairs... wonderfully kitsch. The Judges Lounge has a little more gravitas in reference to nearby Parliament and High Court - its walls are adorned with 700 law books (although there is also a bright white snooker table). A 7-storey atrium is the heart of the hotel with a lounge space of its own and the 7th floor spa is a must.

This hotel is located in the “Gardens” area, near the center of the city with a pool having views of Table Mountain and Signal Hill. While the outside looks pretty plain, the inside is ultra-modern, the sheets have about a million threads per inch and our room is very spacious. While the outside looks pretty plain, the inside is ultra-modern, the sheets have about a million threads per inch and our room is very spacious. The hotel’s concierge was unbelievably helpful, bending over backwards to make sure you had the information you needed (a pretty rare trait, in my experience with concierges). The front desk staff and bell men made a point of remembering our names. The breakfast at the hotel was varied and plentiful. Read less

The exterior of the hotel is cool. The pool area is a very chill vibe. We stayed with credit card points and were given sparkling wine at check in and our room had a personalized fruit plate. The staff was very helpful and offered to print a few necessary documents for us. The room was spacious. The bathroom was huge and included a separate… Read more

We had a very nice 3 night stay at 15 on Orange. Lovely spacious rooms with very comfy king sized bed. Breakfast is good and plenty of variety, the bar and pool deck area are very nice. Staff friendly. Valet parking really convenient. Highly recommend staying here.

15 on Orange is a modern hotel in Gardens in Cape Town. Good service and great location. Not a bad choice for family stay in Cape Town. Breakfast options were great, the pool and pool area were on the small side.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The location is in proximity to a lot of the local attractions but in a quiet less crowded area. Excellent house keeping. We all enjoyed the breakfast. There were a lot of options and good quality food. I typically stay away from room service while traveling but the food here was restaurant quality! We spent a ton of time sight seeing and ended up skipping out on restaurant meals. We loved everything we had-the steak and chips, butter curry chicken, calamari-tons of great options. The restaurant bar also makes excellent cocktails. Perfect for lounging at the pool. There were many options food and grocery store options within walking distance. There’s a small gym in the hotel. We used Uber to get around fairly conveniently for part of our trip and rented a car to get to the further out attractions like Boulder beach. I’m adding 15 on orange to my list of Marriott property favorites. We loved our stay here! I visited with my family and there were 5 of us in our group in 2 rooms. We had one of the table Mountain View rooms and a 2 bedroom suite which I had requested using the suite night awards for hitting Ambassador status with Marriott. The rooms were spacious. The bath tubs are so nice! I forgot to take good pictures of the room and hope to do so next time. Read less
