Great hotel, in the centre of Hermanus, fantastic views from Luxury Rooms. Loved the breakfast options. This was our fourth stay at this hotel. Have pet friendly rooms, will be back with our Frechie next time.

We experienced a problem with our original accomodation which we left after one night. It was with great thanks to Linford, the excellent, duty manager at Harbour House Hotel, who quickly understood our predicament and his young trainee colleague, Jayme, that they showed us several styles of accomodation at the centrally located Harbour House Hotel. Both Linford and Jayme were excellent in the way they dealt with our accomodation needs. Not only were they caring and customer focused they were both professional and courteous in explaining the various accomodation types and styles on offer with personally conducted visits to each accomodation. Linford was training Jayme and we were both impressed at how he let her handle the situation we found ourselves in after leaving our original accomodation. We are professional aviation personnel who travel the world for a living. Without question, Linford, is a huge asset to your hotel and should be promoted and further developed. He has the abilities to progress further. Equally, trainee, Jayme, again is talented and shows great signs for her future role in hospitality. We opted for the apartment in Harbour Square and so glad that we did as it was centrally located, beautifully equipped and centrally located. It was airy and clean with great service from housekeeping. Also, the hotel provided a private parking slot in the local car park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harbour House and have re-booked for next year. We cannot thank Linford and Jayme enough for their excellent support throughout our visit. Well done and keep up the great work. Read less

Unfortunately there were a few things that didn't work for me. We were in a ground floor room which I didn't like as people could wander past day or night and, although large, it had the feel of sleeping in a garage with the only door and windows at one end. We had chairs and a table outside our room but there was no privacy with this arrangement. The worst part was breakfast. It was a very poor, limited selection and the restaurant had certainly seen better days. Maybe the waiter was having a bad couple of days but 'grumpy' just about covers it, although the staff seemed to be happy enough when they were chatting to each other. Getting a coffee did prove to be a bit of a challenge. A real shame because this hotel has great potential but it has long way to go. Read less

We stayed in the building across the road, a third floor room overlooking the street facing the main hotel. Unfortunately the lift was out of action due to a recent fire. The exercise was good for us though after some good food. The room was fine; open plan bathroom (toilet was enclosed) but a roller blind could close it off from view. There’s a small pool in the building but it was simple to use the main building for sunbathing and loungers by the bigger pool. Staff were helpful on check- in, taking us over to the carpark and taking our luggage up to the room. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was either continental or hot and there was plenty of choice. Service was efficient and well organised. The only drawback was a group of drunken people making lots of noise by the bar across the road at 1pm on the Friday/Saturday night but that can’t be laid at the hotel’s door. It’s in a great location and we’d recommend the hotel. Read less

When we arrived we were told our room was not ready. We asked where we could store our luggage, they said leave it in the car. We were then told there was a room for our luggage. Then it was actually our room! Very confusing. Room was nice and big with L’Occitane toiletries. Great position near to everything and the coast. Breakfast was… Read more

Breakfast was nice except there were birds pecking at the buffet and no one got rid of them, which is a health hazard. Potentially a good hotel ran by staff that havent got a clue. Read less
