Our second visit here but only for one night as we were en route to the Garden Route for our holiday. The spacious rooms were beautifully decorated and the view of the bay as we had breakfast on the terrace was to die for. One night was not enough, we will be back.

Hermanus was just the charming town we were looking for along the whale route, and the Harbour House was just perfect. The location was ideal in the town, with a great view from our room and from the pool. The staff was excellent and very nice and helpful. They even helped us find a place to have our laundry done. Breakfast was excellent as well. Parking is very easy and included. We stayed in a room in the older building, which has no air-con, but the windows all opened to let in a great breeze, which is assisted by the fan. We were very comfortable all night. This hotel is walking distance to everything. Read less

My wife and I called in for lunch and had a very pleasant experience indeed. The food was very tasty and service friendly enough. Pleasant surroundings as well with a small pool area for residents. Enjoyed it.

I would not recommend this hotel for various reasons. For the price charged the rooms and service is not good enough. The breakfast was not good. The hotel rooms are old and the door did not work. The noise of the town and the bins being emptied should not be heard inside the room but the gaps in the doors meant you heard everything.
