With just six suites, each individually designed, it promises personalised service, an intimate atmosphere, and homely treats like a games room. Fringing Hermanus Lagoon on the glorious Garden Route, you get picture-perfect waterfront views from each of its bespoke bedrooms, and from one of its two outdoor pools. The other pool has equally spectacular mountain views, which are shared by The Thatch House's tennis courts, putting green, gym, and treehouse playground.

Overlooks Hermanus Lagoon, next to the Hermanus Yacht Club. Transfer time from Cape Town Airport: 1 hour 30 minutes.

6 individually decorated suites, with either a private balcony or patio. All with air-conditioning, underfloor heating, flat-screen digital TV, wireless Bose speaker, WiFi, private outdoor terrace and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

The Thatch House super-ceded all of our expectations, the staff were awesome and the food was really something to experience, The views are breathtaking and the accommodation was 7 star. We loved this weekend away , every aspect of it and will definitely recommend this is a MUST experience location. Read less

We only stayed one night at the thatch house. the rooms are very big and the views well worth the drive out of Hermanos. Our only comments would be the unfortunate road works outside the hotel but it's still well worth a visit. We also think the bathrooms could do with an update but otherwise a wonderful stay.
