We had a lovely stay at the Thatch House! The hotel is beautifully decorated and provides a warm house feeling. The staff was amazing; sweet, attentive and they made sure everything was perfect. Very romantic retreat.

We were very well looked after by Roo and his team. Terry was very kind to direct us to the gate. Roo took special care for our dinner and also he made sure throughout that we had everything for the night . The staff were very kind and for breakfast they even came as family to always follow up if we were taken care. I found the design of the furniture and the layout to be the most amazing collection. They took special care for our dietary even though the catering was not Halaal but their chef personally came to us and assured that he would prepare Halaal meal. Overall i would definitely recommend The Thatch house as an ideal place to visit especially for families who need a break from city life , Thanks to Roo and his team , my son Yusuf still misses you all. I will highly recommend this property for family stays, business, a romantic couple retreat or on your own. The rooms are enormous and the grounds fantastic. The staff is amazing and we could not have asked for anything during our stay.

Just read a review from March by Compass... This is not the experience we had. We did see different managers, but that did not detract from the experience. We stayed for two nights, our daughter had previously been very ill on our trip. Whenever a new member of staff appeared, they inquired about her health. There was obviously a very good flow of information. We arrived and the check in process was minimal... we didn't really 'check in'. We stayed in the Pincushion Suite which was lovely as it meant our children could open the doors and run straight out into the grounds. The hotel itself was very relaxed. It was akin to staying at a friends very nice house. The food was good (breakfast, especially the muesli, was exceptional). There is a small gym, tennis court, putting green, fabulous tree house, trampolines and speed boat. Also Kayaks available which we used to paddle across the lagoon. Suite was amazing, staff were excellent. the main room was stunning. My wife and I are very fortunate to be in a position to stay at some amazing places, and to eat in the best restaurants. Our previous trip was to Malaga where we stayed in a hotel, the room costing £2000 per night. The Thatch House was only £500 per night and it was one of the best places we have ever stayed. We will be back for my wife's 50th when we will book all the rooms for a week!!! Read less
