Good property with lots of amenities. The room was nice but on the small size for the price. Extensive selection for breakfast and the free shuttle to the train and shopping is a bonus. Staff were helpful with some full of personality and others a little stilted. A great place to stay if visiting Johannesburg but go for one of the larger rooms..

The Africology spa within the hotel is magnificent and the staff are very attentive. The Reception staff at the hotel made the check in process very easy. The rooms were neat and well-appointed but the housekeeping service seems to lack attention to detail. While coffee and cups are provided in the room, there is no sugar to add to your coffee, nor any spoons to stir the coffee with. The tea provided is Rooibos. I called housekeeping and asked for a regular 5 Roses cup of tea and was told that I can, if I wish, order a pot of 5 Roses tea via room service at a cost. Most hotels provide this in room at no additional cost, so I found this surprising that one would have to pay additional for this. I eventually settled on coffee and asked Housekeeping to send up teaspoons and sugar, which arrived 20-30 minutes after requesting it and after a follow up phone call. Inasmuch as this is a beautiful 4 star hotel, I would probably not stay here again. With this being the hub of Sandton, I am quite spoiled for choice insofar as luxury hotels go. Read less

The hotel has an industrial looking facade but is very modern inside. Our room on the first floor was good and comfortable but lacked a view as we could only see a wall of another wing ! The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast food was the usual business hotel fare. Dinner however was exceptional in quality and value. Proximity to… Read more

It is cold right now so dint enter the outdoor pool. The gym is well equipped and had small mineral water bottles apples to encourage guests to eat a healthy snack. The concierge staff were smiling and helpful so were the check inn staff. They have a shuttle that runs every 30min to the Nelson Mandela square with a pit stop at the train station as well, which was helpful too. Thank you for a memorable stay at your property. Read less

I stay a minimum of 4 nights a month at the Maslow and every time there is something wrong. All you get is some empty and not a very sincere apology. So don’t waste your time. The last straw for me was breakfast on Tuesday morning. I asked for some water to take my morning medicine only to be ignored, I then went to ask the guy behind the bar only… Read more

The last straw for me was breakfast on Tuesday morning. I asked for some water to take my morning medicine only to be ignored, I then went to ask the guy behind the bar only to be told this is not my job to give you water. Anyway I can go on and on but I rely on trip advisor when I travel so I am just doing my bit for my fellow traveller. Read less
